Chapter 20: Land of God's
"Is this the sea of consciousness you were talking about?" I asked merlin.
"Yes." An aged voice was heard from behind me and when I turned to look at the direction of voice, I saw an old man holding a majestic magic staff in his hands, looking at me curiously.
"Is this how you look?" I asked.
"I don't have any particular appearance; the form you are seeing is what you have given me." Merlin spoke and turned from a humanoid figure to a black wisp with two golden eyes shining within it.
"I can do that?" I asked and focused on myself and suddenly my business suit was replaced with Hawaiian aloha shirt and boxers.
"Unbelievable." I said muttering to myself.
With a wide grin on my face, I let my thoughts run wild and imagined myself drifting in sky with merlin by my side, while I changed everything around me to look like some advance futuristic city and the SOC obeyed my command and copied everything that was in my mind.
I once again tried to imagine a different scenario and now I was standing on moon with merlin without oxygen mask, but oxygen was really not needed because it was all just an illusion, and from the distance I saw a meteor as big as moon collide with planet earth and turn it into millions of pieces but suddenly I felt sharp pain in my head and everything vanished while I was brought back in the white nothingness.
"What… what wa… was that?" Merlin asked me in baffled tone.
"Oh it was nothing; I was just trying to recreate a scene from a movie, I had seen back on earth." I replied to merlin.
"That is not what I am talking about, every being that awakens sea of consciousness at first, his soul force does not exceed more than few hundred thousand points, with which you can only create few buildings, but you were able to manipulate the space to fit in city and even 1 planets and 2 moon, even though just for few seconds, but the feat you have accomplished is impossible even for marquise rank demon to attain." Merlin said and I realized the reason for sudden pain in my head that I head exceeded the limit of my soul force and there was a limit to how much manipulation I could do in SOC.
"I was certain that you are a reincarnation of ancient god, but we need to find out about your origin as soon as possible, and considering that dragon god and sword god himself with 4 other gods tried to kill you, your origin must be more than extraordinary." Merlin said.
"So, are you going to tell me, how I can I regain my memories?" I asked because, merlin didn't respond me last time.

"In order to recover your memories we need to go to land of gods." Merlin said.
"Where is this land of Gods?" I asked in irritated tone, because whenever I ask him to answer my question, he says that the answer lies in the land of gods.
"There exist two realms, which I know of, the first is called mortal realm where we are now and the second is called heaven also known as land of gods, which is the realm above mortal realm.
The land of gods is also divided into many plain such as land of demon gods, land of celestial gods and land of dragons etc. and the last time I left the lands of gods more than 50 percent of plain was uncharted and filled with threats, dangerous even for gods." Merlin said.
"Then how can we enter the land of gods?" I asked understanding the layout of land of gods.
"There are two ways for a mortal to enter the land of gods." Merlin said.
"First method is to become the apostle of the god, who has the most influence on your planet.
An apostle is a representative of a god, who maintains the gods influence on the planet on his behalf and share the powers of gods in exchange.
If he wishes to enter the land of gods, he can do so after receiving god's permission but at a huge expense of fate point.
The same way if you become the apostle of god, you will be able to enter the land of gods with the permission of your god." Merlin said but first method was not feasible for me because I don't want to become slave of demon god, when I am a god myself.
"The second method is, every god has certain amount of influence on the planet through his apostle and his apostle's subordinates, but as we kill his subordinates and apostles, the influence of god on that planet weakens.
Each planet can only have one apostle, from one god and when we kill the apostle the influence of that god dilutes to all time low, only then the god will be given the access by universe to enter the mortal realm, with his power intact.
At that time the balance of mortal realm is shifted and therefore various penalties are imposed on god to maintain the equilibrium.
The most severe penalty of them is, if the god dies in mortal realm, he will never reincarnate again.
The mortal, who has killed the god, will be bestowed with the title and authority of law the previous god governed and he will be given access to enter the land of gods." So I have to slay a god in order to enter the land of gods and that to before merlin's lifespan runs out.
"Not only that, the mortal can freely enters and exits the land of gods after paying some fate points because of his 'origin' and his 'title as god' but the other gods does not like mortals entering their territory and kill them on sight.
But you don't have to worry because your soul will reincarnate again in the land of gods without your previous memories, even if you die as half mortal and half god." Merlin said.
"But what is there in land of gods that can help me recover my memories?" I asked.
"For now, I can only tell you that there is someone who can help you recover your memories." So it is a god or similar being who will help me recover my memories.
"Let's set that aside and see how much soul strength you have recovered." Merlin said and a familiar screen appeared in front of me.

"Is my soul force that high?" I asked.
"I think your soul force is comparable to that of a duke ranked demon but the lowest duke at that." Merlin said but my hopes dropped because from his reaction I thought it would be comparable to demon king or even higher.
"How much soul force does demon king possessed?" I asked.
"It was somewhere around 600 million when we parted ways, but looking at him now, it seems he has crossed the 1 billion mark." Merlin said and I opened my eyes wide.
"Then how much soul force does gods possess?" I asked.
"They start with somewhere around 1 billion and higher."
"Is it possible for me to increase my soul force to that level?" I asked.
