Chapter 28: Awoken
4,126 day (11.3 years), that is how long I have been training with merlin in my sea of consciousness, while my body was evolving without any sign of nearing its completion.
There were no significant changes in my body in first few years because, the changes were taking place at cellular level, but from the 4th year the cocoon started to grow bigger and bigger and so my body.
My current body was 5 feet tall inside cocoon but the most significant and the only change I discovered was in my soul force.

My other stats were hidden because until I have finished my evolution, merlin won't be able to calculate my new stats.
Initially merlin had appraised that I would take at least 10 year to evolve but even now my body didn't show any sign of completion.
During the 8th year of my evolution merlin sensed moment outside the underground cave and informed me that the mountain under which I was evolving had collapsed and we are buried deep underground but due to employment of [Invincible barrier] we were safe from harm.
One year after that incident, the monster from the surrounding has made the area above surface as their nest.
I have never fought against demon beast in real life before, but I knew the moment I step outside the barrier, I will have a tough fight awaiting me.
"I am ready merlin." I said cutting my break time short and resuming my training once again because in the sea of consciousness as long as I have soul force, I can remove the fatigue from my body with a thought and so I didn't need any break.
"We will start with your magic spell training." Merlin said and manifested 10, rank 6 demonic beasts around me.
Each beast was 10 meter huge with physique similar to that of an elephant from my previous world. Their tusk was covered with countless black poisonous spikes and their body was covered in hard black scales.
I was nothing but an ant compared to their humongous body but they were no threat to me.
At the command of merlin they charged at me while I prepared a rank 7 magic spell [God hand].

I stood in the center while 10, rank 6 demon beasts charged at me but before they could reach me; they were crushed by 10, 15 meter vast hand descending on their huge body, turning them into meat paste on the spot.
Not long after that I received a backlash of using a rank 7 spell and it was more severe because I had multi casted 10, rank 7 spell to kill all beasts at the same time.
I coughed blood and felt a sharp pain near my chest where my core was located.
"I thought you wanted to train using low rank magic?" Merlin asked me the reason for using high rank magic spell.
"I have already mastered magic spell and sword art up to rank 6 therefore I don't see use in training using up to rank 6 spells anymore." I replied.
"On the other hand I want to perfect the spells and sword arts above rank 6 and as you can see the backlash I received this time was not as severe as the last time." I said.
"The backlash was same; it is just that your pain tolerance has increased." Merlin said.
"Is that so." I replied enduring the pain otherwise if I remove the pain every time from my body using my soul force, I won't be able to endure the pain when I step in the outside world.
"Well it is good that you want to progress faster but there is a limit to every mortal body and after a certain point of time you will hit your limit which cannot be overcome until you complete your transformation physique and other physiques." Merlin said.
"I will keep that in mind." I said but suddenly my sea of consciousness shook for a second and craackkk sound resounded before it stabilized once again.
"What was that?" I asked merlin but he teleported us both near the consciousness of dragon king Noob without replying.
"The wisp we saw eleven year ago was nowhere to be seen but it was replaced with a 30 meter huge golden dragon sleeping soundly inside a transparent bubble which was perfect till yesterday but now had a small crack on its surface.
"This is the sign I was waiting for, soon your body will finish its evolution and you will be able to switch to your real body.
The more you use power of dragon king noob in outside world, bigger the scar on this bubble will get, and there will come a time when the bubble breaks open and you will have to fight him inside your sea of consciousness." Merlin said and finally there was some sign of my real body waking up, I thought.
"So how much time before I wake up?" I asked.
"That depend on us now, your body is on the verge of completing its merger, and you just need to give it a push, try casting the 2nd draconic spell you have learned." Merlin said and I complied.
