He wondered why the High Priestess had done that. Why had she created such an elaborate ruse in order to kill them? She could have easily killed them any other way, why was the manipulation necessary? 

Maybe because something was truly wrong with their Omega selfs and they were truly swaying with their loyalty.

However, that reason didn't seem to be enough. There just had to be more.
