Chapter 81: Half Reunion

A white and golden carriage helmed by a priest and carried by the most pristine of stallions slowly entered a gateway of even more brilliance.

The gates were rows of steel spikes tipped with the royal crest of the Riman kingdom a smaller version of the golden insignia that was etched into the golden locking mechanism that made up the front gate.

Rows of guards stood at attention while entering the magnificent palace. They gave a pious solute as the clanking of their armor drowned out the trotting of the stallion's hooves against the paved stone path.

The carriage stopped at a smaller entrance of the building instead of the main one which was reserved for galas or diplomatic events that had thousands of attendees at once.

As the carriage stopped a short rustle was heard inside before the door was opened by the figure siting inside.

A hand covered in white cloth was the first to be observed. As he further revealed himself his body seemed to radiate a feeling of warmth and comfort as he came closer to anyone near him.

The palace guards and maids unconsciously dropped their guard around him. However if one looked close enough you could see there were a few that still remained vigilant.

It was these few that the young girl wearing plain clothes paid the most attention too. She even walked with an aura of a noble and if this place was familiar to her in some way. But none she walked by could really put a finger to it

On his stroll through the Castle the Blonde man gave each of these gifted m individuals cursory glances as if to read them. And they all felt as if their secrets were laid bare before him. they were naked and their clothes had been scorched off by his light.

Planchette POV :

What does Mr. luci want from me....He said that he needs me to take control of a bad situation. What does that mean. Am I going to kill my brother?

Is he stronger than him? I looked at him with a questioning gaze and as if he already knew my question he turned to me and gave a slight smile. It was as if he was amused.

I look around the walls. I forgot how much this place was decorated and designed with a he utmost of care and passion. The intricacies of the walls. The paintings the furniture.

Anywhere in the world this palace could be called nothing's short of spectacular. But its grandeur is destroyed because of what it cost.

As I walked through the hallway my blank expression slightly changed while I observed paintings of me and my older siblings. They were once so happy and excited to be free and go out into the world and find themselves. Then all of a sudden they're married to a foreign princess or prince all to maintain this show of overcompensation.

To think I had such fond memories of such a place. Now that I think about it all of my pleasant memories have at-least one constant and thats my big sister Belle...She was always there talking about exploring the vastness of the world experiencing new cultures. She never sat down and thought about the shackles of marriage and even though she was soon to be engaged she still put on a brave face.

When she offered to pick me flowers the evening before she left it felt as if she was the freest person on the planet.

Even blind I could see her shine just like how I can see the light in Luci's eyes. He cares. Or at-least thats what I think.

Before long I was gazing at him deeply didn't seem to notice me ask he nodded towards every greeting , smiled at everyone who walked by. He was a paragon.

As we arrived at the entrance of the throne room. There were two guards stationed out front. They were all notified of our arrival beforehand. But something seemed to shock one of the two guards as he stared at me for a while.

I could tell he was much older than the other one. There were wrinkles all over his hands. Surprisingly he still remained in shape; due to this palace being so heavily guarded , they rarely did anything but stand guard here.

I removed my expressionless gaze away from him and onto the mural above the room. I saw myself. I was standing in between my brother silos and Belle. It always felt like I was a sort of divider. Ever since my accident Silos avoided me and Belle became alot more friendly with me.

As these thoughts ran rampant in my mind I failed to notice that the door had opened and Luci had already stepped inside.

I briskly followed him all while staring intently ahead. The room was pitch black. As the door closed behind us we were fully clothed in a blanket of black.

POV END

As if igniting a spark that would burn the heavens away Luci looked on in a direction and said

" Its a bit too dark " The dark aparition that was held above our heads began to burn away revealing the light from the sun that began to shine into the room. The shadow fought back to regain its serenity but the flames pushed back with equal Intensity.

" Ok good now that you understand who your dealing with we can speak freely" he stared off into a dimly lit corner of the room.

A young man with a disheveled beard and long glossy black hair looked up toward the man who spoke to him. His eyes seemed to constantly leak black tears and they had already formed small puddles around him. His royal attire was clean and well suited to his figure but the crown that rested up his head still fell to the side. even with the large influence of the hair. He unsealed his chapped lips and spoke a few words.

"Why do you bring her here."
