Chapter 2: Being proud or stupidity

A gentle rain fell over the city of Tectonic, refreshing the streets and leaving a soothing mist in its wake. Pedestrians strolled leisurely under umbrellas, enjoying the cool droplets as they danced on the pavement.

Abigail who was fast asleep jolted awake from her slumber, a sudden realization dawning upon her as she remembered the items she needed to purchase from the local market. With a sense of urgency, she sprang out of bed.

She rose from bed and made her way to the bathroom, where she freshened up before donning a cozy blue hoodie and matching trousers. Wrapping a knitted blue scarf around her neck and head, she completed her outfit before stepping outside into the crisp morning air.

Abigail, a 22-year-old with a fair complexion, possesses stunning black hair that gleams with a slick sheen. Her dark chocolate eyes draw you in with their warmth and depth, while her soft, pink lips exude an irresistible allure. With a demeanor as gentle as a dove and a charm that rivals that of an angel, Abigail's beauty is simply captivating, leaving those around her mesmerized by her radiant presence.

Abigail's flawless skin beckons to be touched, its smoothness tempting even the most restrained fingers. Her perfectly sculpted body possesses an allure that could rival any model, its graceful contours captivating all who behold her. With every feature exuding perfection, Abigail truly embodies the essence of a fallen angel, her presence leaving an indelible mark on all fortunate enough to encounter her.

Abigail's life has been a poignant tapestry of pain and resilience. Orphaned at a tender age, she endured the tragic loss of her father in a train accident when she was just fifteen. Though their relationship was fraught with abuse, his passing left a deep scar. But it was the devastating loss of her mother three years later, when Abigail was eighteen, that pushed her to the brink of despair. With no one to turn to, no support system to lean on, she was left to navigate the darkness alone. The weight of her grief was crushing, and she struggled to find her footing in a world that seemed determined to leave her behind. Yet, despite the overwhelming odds, Abigail's unyielding spirit refused to be extinguished, fueling her determination to rise above the ashes and forge a new path.

As Abigail stepped out of her rented apartment, she gently unchained her pink scooter and mounted it, gliding down the street with care to avoid splashing anyone with puddles. With a cautious pace, she made her way towards the local market, the hum of her scooter's engine blending harmoniously with the tranquility of the morning.

A few minutes later..

Still humming her favorite song "Angel Baby," Abigail was caught off guard as a speeding car nearly collided with her scooter. With quick reflexes, she managed to swerve out of harm's way, but the sudden maneuver caused her to lose balance and tumble into a nearby puddle formed by the earlier rain. She found herself drenched in dirty water, shaken but thankfully unharmed from the close call.

As she rose from the puddle, Abigail's frustration boiled over into a string of curses directed at the reckless driver. "Holy s***! Do they even have eyes?" she hissed, her anger palpable as she surveyed her drenched and dirty state. Though relieved to find herself unscathed, she couldn't help but feel a surge of indignation towards the driver, who callously sped away without a second thought.

Filled with a mix of anger and adrenaline, Abigail swiftly regained her footing and hopped back onto her scooter. Ignoring the dirt and wetness clinging to her clothes, she revved up the engine and set off in hot pursuit of the car that had nearly caused her harm. With determination fueling her every move, she accelerated to full speed, her scooter slicing through the air as she closed the gap between herself and the offending vehicle. Despite the danger, she was unyielding in her pursuit, her resolve unwavering as she sought to confront the reckless driver and demand accountability for their actions.

As Abigail closed in on the car, the driver noticed her presence, realizing they were being followed, pulled over to the side of the road and came to a stop. With a determined expression, Abigail brought her scooter to a halt beside the car, her eyes fixed on the driver as she prepared to confront them about their reckless behavior.

Breathing heavily from the adrenaline-fueled chase, Abigail watched as the man from the car approached her. She steadied herself, her expression a mix of frustration and determination as she prepared to confront him about his dangerous driving.

"young lady what's the matter why are you

following me" he asked her as she parked her scooter at a safe place

Breathing deeply to regain her composure, Abigail met the man's gaze with a steely resolve. "Why am I following you? Because you almost ran me off the road back there!" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with frustration. "You were driving recklessly, and I won't stand for it. You could have seriously hurt someone!, or i could have lost my life also"

"so what, at least you're not dead so you should be thankful! so just take your scooter and get the hell out of here as you can see I have somewhere to go so don't just waste my time cuz of your clothes is f****** wet or I don't just understand what you're trying to say I have to drop someone at a very urgent places so please don't waste my time with all this rubbish and get out, I know girls like you when you see the car is a luxurious car you think you can just use that to get in, miss just pick up your scooter and go don't create a scene here".

Abigail stood in disbelief, stunned by the man's callous response. His words cut through her like a knife, leaving her speechless for a moment. Anger simmered beneath the surface as she struggled to comprehend his lack of remorse or empathy. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she resisted the urge to lash out in frustration.

Gathering her resolve, Abigail met the man's gaze with a determined glare. "You may have somewhere to go, but that doesn't excuse your dangerous driving," she retorted, her voice firm despite the shock she felt. "And for your information, I don't need your luxurious car to validate me. I just wanted to ensure you understood the gravity of your actions. But clearly, you're not capable of that." She replied thinking to herself if this might be being proud or stupidity.
