Chapter 64: Chapter 63: Raymond's Concerns.

The now calmed down Juggernaut was completely different from the angry man before.

It only took three minutes for Raymond to successfully persuade him, making him believe that he really wanted to join the Hellfire Club, and not someone sent to tease him or find fault.

If was replaced by the previous him, Raymond would not have a chance to speak at all.

As for why Raymond could make the Hellfire Club's intelligence network fail, he could only investigate some superficial intelligence, and how to investigate the relationship between the the other party and Professor X, this is in Raymond's little test. After that it is no longer a problem.

Because at this moment, Raymond was no longer the rookie who had just awakened his abilities after an accident in the eyes of the three Hellfire Club members.

For mutants, even the strongest fourth-level mutants like Magneto and Professor X are not necessarily the opponents of some second-level and third-level mutants when they first awakened their abilities.

At that time, they only had the potential to become fourth-level mutants.

Just like Lorna now, a Carl can settle her with little effort.

Of course, this is not 100% without exception. Some fifth-level mutants may be terrified as soon as they wake up, such as Jean Grey.

Another example is Raymond's good friend David, if someone really tried to provoke him to the death, there is no guarantee that he would not turn into a super psychotic in seconds.

If it wasn't for worrying about this, the old dog, the Shadow King  wouldn't have been dormant on David for decades, and he would have fade long ago.

But these examples are too extreme, and there are not many cases in the history of mutants.

Let alone Juggernaut, they haven't seen such an example with their own eyes. Even if they did, they wouldn't think that it was just a coincidence. Raymond was a special case of the billion.

Therefore, in their opinion, Raymond at this time should have awakened his abilities long ago, but he has been disguised well and has not been discovered by anyone.

For such a fourth-level mutant who has been awakened for many years, it is impossible to really have no special connections at all, so it is not surprising why he can investigate the relationship between the Juggernaut and Professor X.

However, they dispelled their doubts so decisively, which made Raymond a little worried.

Thinking of this, Raymond pondered and asked: "If I remember correctly, your Hellfire Club is actually an underground organization, and many members have other identities on the surface, right?"

  "Good."

Juggernaut did not shy away from this. "Except for Carl and several other core members who are resident in the club, the other core members basically have double or even multiple identities."

"Take Betsy as an example, she is the leader of a mutant organization in Europe, and she also cooperates with many underground organizations to run some industries in the 'black market'..."

"Don't listen to his nonsense, it's just a small organization that I just play with, and there are not many people." Psylock was a little unhappy when she heard the example of her big friend, and glared at the him and said, " Why don't you take yourself as an example, you're still No. 2 in the Brotherhood of Mutants!"

No. 2 of the Brotherhood of Mutants...

Raymond took this information down in an instant.

He did know that in some Marvel universes, the Juggernaut was included in the Brotherhood of Mutants by Magneto, and became the second leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

But he thought that since the Juggernaut of this world could become the Black King of the Hellfire Club, he should not have joined the Brotherhood of Mutants.

He didn't expect these two identities to exist at the same time.

As for Psylock's situation, he was not surprised.

The Psylock in the X-Men movie universe was removed from her family background for some reason, leaving only her personal abilities, which naturally doesn't look very conspicuous.

But in this world, she obviously has those two powerful brothers.

With or without a background, the difference is not the slightest bit.

Even if Psylocke doesn't act recklessly in the name of her brother, it's impossible for others to treat her as if she doesn't have any background.

"I think that since you can find out the relationship between me and Professor X, it's not impossible to find out the relationship between me and the Brotherhood of Mutants, so I haven't avoided this..." He seemed to have nothing to do with himself. Taking precautions, the two casually exposed the other party's bottomline, Raymond was unmoved.

So far, no matter what he said, or the information released by the Juggernaut and Spirit Butterfly which they 'self-exposed', in the final analysis, it's just some information on the table.

Psylock's biggest trump card is her two brothers, and Juggernaut's biggest trump card is his source of power. Apart from these, many people should know about other things.

Moreover, these things obviously have nothing to do with the real secrets of the Hellfire Club. The two of them seemed to be completely defenseless in front of him, and they were just sending him a friendly message.

  Can't be true.

"Don't let Dr. Raymond see jokes, let's get down to business." Hearing Psylock revealing his own backstory,

Juggernaut didn't seem to care too much, but looked at Raymond with a slight smile and asked:

"The doctor wants to ask me, why we are not worried that you have ulterior motives in joining the club... and since many core members of the club have multiple identities, how do we ensure that everyone is not selfish?"

Seeing that the red tank was so straightforward this time, Raymond didn't bother to cover up, so he nodded slightly.

Seeing that Raymond admitted that he was wondering about this, the three members looked at each other and laughed.

Juggernaut smiled: "Let Carl answer this question for you."

Raymond naturally didn't care, and shrugged.

Carl didn't have any opinion on this, and smiled: "Because there is no need for guarantees!"

"Huh? What do you mean?" Raymond didn't quite understand this sentence.

"The existence of the Hellfire Club does not have any clear meaning in itself... We are not like the Brotherhood of Mutants, and we intend to make mutants the masters of the world."

"It's not like the X-Men, they have to let ordinary people accept the existence of mutants, so that the mutants can walk in the sunshine and fully integrate into the world of ordinary people." Carl explained with a smile.

"If we have to say what the purpose of our existence is, it should be to help each other. If we don't harm our own interests, we can help as much as we can."

"As for what you said, Dr. Raymond, how can you guarantee that each other has no selfishness? This is a false proposition in itself, because... all of us have selfishness!"
