He gulped the whole serum and emptied the whole bottle at once. Ye Han was in his room because he knew the effects of the serum and had already experienced it before.
As soon as he swallowed the serum, it started acting immediately and his brain felt like it was getting ripped apart, felt as if a hand is moving inside his head.
He gripped his head and screamed loudly, his body moving vigorously on the bed. His legs kicking the wall and the bed in pain as he holds his head and cries out loud.
The only reason people didn't come rushing to his room is because he used a silencing spell inside and asked the maid to not disturb him for the whole day no matter what happens.
His fight with the pain lasted for six hours and in the end, he barely won over it. He was on the verge of collapsing and he was completely tired from all the struggle.
He somehow crawled to the door and slid it open. As soon as he opened it, the maid came rushing to him and said "Young master, master Ye Zong has summone..... young master, what has happened to you?" she asked, shocked to see Ye Han's state.
His clothes were completely wet from all the sweat and he had blood flowing from his nose. She ran to him and caught his weak body. Ye Han then heard some voice in his head "What the hell happened to this brat now? If anyone from the family sees him, they will kill me for not taking care of him. What a pain in the ass?"
Ye Han smiled and lost conscious immediately after. Gui Ling didn't know what to do, as she didn't sense anyone go near his room and Ye Han didn't have any injuries.
"Did Yun Hua get new orders from the Demon lord?" she said to herself when she saw the silencing spell in Ye Han's room. It was a spell that they usually used to silently finish any work. It wasn't any special spell. Even some of the noble families have such spells.
She dismissed all the theories, as she had to take care of a kid, who might die on her and get her killed. She first got rid of all the clothes and changed him to a new set of clothes.
She then cleaned the blood from his nose and brought out an spatial ring from her hair, which she used as a decoration. She brought out a pill from her spatial ring and looked at Ye Han.
"Argh....he can't even digest the pill, as he is just a kid and hasn't formed his soul realm. Or wait, I remember someone from the dark guild say that they saw him use some powers. Should I risk it? If he is hiding his cultivation, he will survive. If he really is like any normal kid, he will die." Gui Ling was stuck in a dilemma for a while, until she decided that she will risk it and if Ye Han dies, she will make it look like the work of someone jealous of him from the family.
She chewed the pill and had to pass the pill through her mouth into his. She couldn't break it down into powder and feed him. as it might choke him. As for mixing it in water, the pill will loose it's effects.
After she made sure Ye Han swallowed it, she immediately drank water and spat it out of the window. She obviously didn't want to kiss a kid. Gui Ling then looked at Ye Han, waiting for something to happen.
She didn't have to wait for long though, as an indigo colored aura appeared around him and rose up. Only after a few minutes after this happened, Ye Han opened his eyes slowly got up. His body was still weak and tired.
Gui Ling, who was sitting near him, got up when he opened his eyes and said "Thank God young master, that you are ok. I was worried about you."
Ye Han knew her origin intentions and just smiled at her. She continued "Young master, I know I shouldn't be asking this, but what happened to you back then?"
Ye Han looked at her and said in his head "This bitch is very good at acting. I need her even more now. Also, it looks like she is also a cultivator. That makes it even more interesting."
Ye Han said to her "I should be fine now, so we can forget about that. Didn't you say someone called for me?" and Gui Ling nodded as she said "Yes young master, master Ye Zong had summoned you. I had informed master Ye Zong that you were training, so he asked me to bring you to him after you were done training."
"Then, I will go meet him while you clean up my room." Ye Han said and placed his hand on her shoulder for support as he got up.
That's when something weird happened. There were images of weird stuff in his head and there were people he didn't recognise.
He immediately retracted his hand and was staring at the floor, trying to figure out what it was. Gui Ling noticed his change in behaviour and asked "Young master, are you still not feeling well?"
Ye Han didn't reply, as he had some information he didn't know before. It was about someone who was taking a bath and was washing herself. He was confused as to who it was, until he saw the reflection of the face in the water. He found a face with long grey hair and red eyes. She was his maid Gui Ling.
"Are these her memories? But why are her memories in my head? Was it at the time of contact?" Ye Han started coming up with possible explanations to what was happening.
Gui Ling shook Ye Han and that brought him back from his train of thoughts. Ye Han looked at Gui Ling and he heard a voice in his head " What is happening to this brat? He is really going to get me killed today."
Along with this voice, he got more memories of Gui Ling and Ye Han already knew the pain that follows with these memories, so he moved away from her and said "I am fine. I was thinking about something. Get to work, I will go meet father."
Ye Han left the room and Gui Ling sighed after he left. She said "I am really not getting paid enough for this shit. I have to get a raise." and got to her maid work, cleaning his room.
Ye Han walked to Ye Zong's room and along the way, he was still wondering about what was happening to him.
"I am able to look at their memories while also reading their thoughts. This was something I could do in my previous life, but I should have expected this outcome when I used those herbs for chemicals. There is more to them than just chemicals. They have qi or energy, whose behaviour even the residents of this world also couldn't figure out." Ye Han said in his head and before he knew it, he arrived at Ye Zong's room.
The maid outside looked at Ye Han and said "Master Ye Zong is waiting for you." opening the door for him.
Ye Han enters the room and like before, he was in the presence of his step father and his step grandfather. He bowed and said "Greetings father, grandfather."
This time however, Ye Mo wasn't angry at Ye Han for calling him his grandfather. That shows how people can change.
Ye Zong said "Ye Han, I heard from your maid that you were training. What were you doing in your room?" he asked in the end.
Ye Han had already predicted this and Ye Zong's thoughts were "He should have broken through to silver rank. How else can someone explain his use of black flames without any demon spirit."
Ye Han sighed, as he knew that he can't hide the fact about his devil fruit even if he tried, as he is the next in line for the city lord and everyone's attention is now at him.
Ye Han then read Ye Mo's thoughts, which were "Hmm....did he really reach the silver rank? Only one way to find out. If he didn't though, how can he use those black flames."
Ye Han thought for a while and he remembered another power from the novel and hoped that Ye Mo of this time knew about the power of the Law. He took the gamble and said "Father, I don't know what is happening to me. On my first day in the training grounds, I heard a girl scream for help and I went to help her.
After which, we were getting chased by a Horned Sheep. While running, something in me awakened and those black flames appeared out of my hands.
After that happened, I used the basic cultivation techniques in the first floor and was able to accumulate soul force. When I recently checked my soul force, it was 315."
Ye Zong and Ye Mo thought deeply about what Ye Han said, as many facts match with the information their servant gave them. While Ye Zong was whacking his head about the black flames, Ye Mo remembered reading about it from an old book of the Snow Wind Family.
It had mentioned about the power of the Law. Since there wasn't much in it, he couldn't practice it, but the knowledge he had was enough to believe Ye Han. He concluded that Ye Han somehow managed to use the power of the Law.
"Since it is a mysterious power that even I don't know, it might be that the fated can sense the presence of the law and use it." Ye Mo thought in his head, which Ye Han heard and smiled slightly.
Ye Mo then said "That's enough. You may leave. Since you are able to cultivate now, I will let you enter the top floors of the library and provide you with all the resources needed."
Ye Han then said "Grandfather, I am afraid the matter about my cultivation has spread to many people and I might be in danger."
"You don't have to worry about that. We got to know about your dark flames from your bodyguard, who is an 3-star Black gold rank." Ye Mo said and Ye Han bowed before leaving the room.
Ye Zong turned to his father for answers and Ye Mo knew what Ye Zong wanted to know. Ye Mo said "I know you are confused. We are really lucky that he is in our family before he found out about his powers. He is someone who can rise up in power without much resources.
If he was still an orphan, other families would fight among themselves to get him on their side. Ye Zong, after a long time, you have taken a good decision."
Ye Zong didn't know what to reply to what his father had just said. He went back to his work, as he knew his father wasn't wrong and knew what he was doing.
As for Ye Han, he needed to know what other powers he got. He also noticed that he had it be in contact with a person to use his other abilities. Now, since he can't go around touching others. It would just make him a creepy kid in the eyes of others.
Luckily, he had a sister who plays with him and he doesn't have to worry about anyone thinking ill about him. He waited for two hours, since Ye Ziyun was still getting her lessons from her aunt, Ye Zong's sister, Xue Yin.
After playing with her, he learnt more about his abilities and he wasn't that shocked like when he discovered that he can read memories. The only other ability he got was to sense their emotions.
He can feel the emotions others have, like hatred, happiness, ill intent, etc., Ye Han predicted that it might be useful to detect any animals, demons or humans trying to attack him.
"Two more abilities huh. Although they aren't that great, they can still help me in times of need. Now that I have all my cards back, it is time to start the game." Ye Han said as he sat on his bed.
He called out for his maid and after a while, she entered his room. She asked "What can I do for you young master?" and Ye Han said "I want you to go to the family treasury and get me 2 million demon spirit coins in my name. Tell them I want to buy things I need."
Gui Ling was surprised and asked "Young master, forgive me for being rude, but I am afraid they can't take out 2 million without a valid reason and the permission of some elder of the family."
"Don't worry, I was granted permission by grandfather Ye Mo. And, I also want you to make a list of all the businesses in the city that are about to close down." Ye Han said and Gui Ling was again surprised by his order.
Knowing that she won't get answers from him, she just nodded and waited there if Ye Han had anything else he wants her to do. Her thoughts were "Ye Mo is also giving full support to this kid. He is more dangerous than we thought. I have to report this to Yin Hua. We have to act against him before he becomes a threat to the the dark guild."
Ye Han smiled when he got the confirmation that she was indeed from the dark guild. He asked her to get the money because, he wanted to confirm the fact that she is from the dark guild. If she was from the dark guild, she would know that Ye Mo sees Ye Han in high regards and killing him normally is impossible.
He did this to stop them from taking action immediately and giving him enough time to grow stronger. Ye Han had many ideas on how to use this maid and mess with the dark guild.
He sent her out and he then looked at the scroll of Yang Xin with a wide grin. He said "Yang Xin, I hope we will get to negotiate peacefully tomorrow."
