Chapter 66: ROUND TWO

The next day Ivan and I got in a carriage to go see my family back home. I was nervous towards the entire ride. What my mother said about the gods punishment was still on my mind. I don't think she realized what she was asking of me. I went through a lot of trouble to fix her broken mind and now what she was going to make me kill her? She just always seem to want to get away from me no matter what I do!

"You okay?" Ivan asked from beside me.

I smiled as I turned to look at him. This seems to be the only person who truly cares about me, "Yes, I am."

"Good cause I'm nervous as hell." Ivan says letting out a breath.

I let out a chuckle as I reached for his hand, "Cause it's been a while you've visited my town?"

"Yeah well they weren't exactly the most friendly people." Ivan said with a pout while I grinned at him, talking about the time they attacked him and left him for dead in the woods.
