Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Exploring
After grabbing a bite to eat Aegor had decided to first pay a visit to the training ground and to start his weapons training.Since he is in a world war could happen in the blink of an eye it was important to know how to fight and kill a man if not he would be before he knew it. It is better to be one doing the killing rather than the one being killed. Once Taemor Lendaerys our families master in arms and also our family's best swordsmen."Greetings my lord" said Taemor with a respectful tone. "Greetings Taemor I am here to start my weapons so let me know if we can start today" Aegor replied. Taemor was a little surprised since the little lord would often try to avoid his training but now he is singing a different tune, even so he did not let it show. He nodded his and handed him his training sword once their hands touched Aegor was able to get all his memories and was able to retain memories of all the methods of training with the sword, the basis of the advance moves and his lived experiences on the battlefield. After receiving all the memories he followed all the instruction and guidance provided by Taemor and continued practicing all the moves. Seeing all this Taemor noticed that Aegor was doing well for some who just started swordplay and was impressed and kept teaching all the basics before calling it a day.
After training Aegor had decided to visit the mines and there he was able to meet the Jaerys Barreos who is incharge of mining operations and is also the head of house Barreos. Just like Taemor he managed to touch Jaerys by shaking his hand and was able to get all his memories and was able to get an idea of the current state of the mine and the output produced and continued a conversation with him about the mines. And he got to visit and see the working conditions after going around and did not like it one bit. Being a man from the modern era he was not able to bear watching people go through such horrible conditions. He saw people getting and being wiped worked to the bone and watching them carry bodies out of the mine and throwing them out like rubbish made him sick but he could not change the practice of slavery over night so he order Jaerys to make sure that all the mining slaves were feed well. He waited until a mining was halted and all the slaves were feed well. After find out who got them food and rest the slaves were greatfull and offered thanks.
After receiving their thanks Aegor knew that he needed to do something about this so that he could win their loyalty and also increase the profits in the mine but it was not the right time. Aegor made his way to places to visit the Smith shops, the processing sites of all the material and to his surprise his house was one of major producers of valyrian steel ingots and jewelry and weapons. It turns out that the top 5 houses in the freehold are the ones that produce valyrian steel and sell it to the other freeholders. The reason it was very expensive in the freehold was due to time and effort to produce 1 ton of valyrian steel that takes about 2 half years to make. The refining and enchantments are the parts of the process that takes up the most time and only specific kinds of scorers are needed to enchant the metal. Also valyrian steel comes in different grades the darker the steel the higher the magic concentration and the lighter it is the inferior the quality."I have to commission a sword and dagger for myself." Aegor thought while leaving the blacksmith's shop.
His next stop was the field and the Tartalos are in charge of ensuring our family, banners and territory is feed and just like that he managed collect information relating to the total production grain, meat, vegetables and other agro products and found the amount required to feed a territory of our size and it was lot. He also learned the techniques used and was impressed and found out how the magic was used to increase the yield.
And in the next few days before the bonding ceremony he continued his training and visited the family library and sorcery tower to gather information and knowledge on magic and continued his weapons training in the sword, bow, spear and daggers.
So in the evening on the 5th day being in valyria Aegor took some time and decided that he would need to have to start having the talk with his family and it would not be easy. The primary reason being he is still a kid and he would not been taken seriously and secondly anyone in the freehold who hears this will laugh and mock him for it so he would have to first have to get them to get them on his side and also he would have to confirm if the land mass he asked the god to create exists or not, so far everything came true any way, so there is less chance that of the last one not come true as well.
Now he needs news skills and tools before he can move forward with the next step in his plan after gathering information about the territory and its vassal lords he was able to confirm that all the heads of each house were loyal to his so if we order them as well as make them believe that the Doom is coming we can be able to get a lot of shit done.
Now he needs a few skills, first an ability to create powerful illusions like the one in the TV series Loki, just like the older Loki,second he would need a skill to create magic tools to help spy on his rivals and also make other tools which will make life easier. And lastly he would need a skill to influence/ manipulate people to believe what he has to say.So thinking for some time he was able to come up with some ideas for skills he needed and was now taking out the other pills he had so that he could get new abilities. After checking the pouch he found 10 pills he did use 3 out of the 13 pills. Not bothering about it he had consumed 3 pills again after each interval and final he had received 3 new abilities they are:
Illusion master: Users of this skill will be able to create powerful spells which will be very difficult to dispel. The illusions will last till the day the caster of this skill see's fit or till the user dies.
Magic tools maker: A skill which enables the creation or modification of a magic tool using thoughts. The user must ensure that the material needed to create must be present in order to create the tool and only then will the tool be created. All created must be imbibed with magic/ source of energy in order for it to work.
Though manipulator: This skill enables the user to manipulate the thoughts of one or more targets into believing things which the caster wants the targets to believe in. This skill enables the user to influence the thoughts of the target but not control them. This skill can be used by speaking or just being in the same area as the target. Easier to use on friendly targets or weak minded ones.
After that Aegor decided that he decided that he would be have the talk with his father about the issue of the doom with his father after gets his first dragon and once he is convinced he will make sure a meeting is arranged with all the family member and banners where he would use the illusions and thought manipulation on them to ensure that they believe the doom is coming. After making a note of his plan he decided that he would retire for the night and be ready for the next to get a new dragon.
