Chapter 59: [55] "Learning to Enhance your Awakened Powers"

In a bustling classroom, Jiwoo struggles to stay awake.

Leaning against his desk, he closes his eyes and sighs. 'How tired I am... It's been a while since I've used my powers for so long.'

Suddenly, an angry voice shakes him out of his reverie. "Jiwoo!" The professor's voice booms throughout the room.

Jiwoo jumps out of his seat, looking around nervously as the professor approaches him.

"Jiwoo...you've had this attitude for several days now. What's wrong?" the professor asks, annoyed.

Jiwoo blinks in confusion, not understanding what is going on, and a deep silence falls over the classroom.

"Excuse me, professor...I didn't get enough sleep at home...I didn't get enough rest," Jiwoo apologizes, trying to explain his behavior.

The teacher looks at Jiwoo sadly and says. "Don't worry... if you need my help with anything, let me know, at your age you need to rest well".

Jiwoo is relieved to see the teacher's understanding, but realizes that he has slept through the whole class. "Professor, is class over?" asks Jiwoo, seeing the professor turn around and the students in the room look at him strangely.

"Yes, Jiwoo, we're done," replies the professor.

Jiwoo quickly gets up, grabs his backpack and runs out of the room.

The students and the teacher are shocked to see Jiwoo disappear in the blink of an eye.

The teacher comes out of the room and shouts. "Jiwoo, wait!" but it's too late, Jiwoo has disappeared.

Jiwoo runs down the stairs with great speed, excited that Kayden had promised to teach him a method to improve his strength.

"I must hurry," Jiwoo thinks excitedly.

In his haste, he didn't notice the young man with black hair and glasses until he already collided with him.

"Aaaaah..." exclaimed Jiwoo while touching his shoulder. "Sorry... Are you okay... I was in a hurry."

The young man looked at him silently and kept walking without saying a word.

"Didn't he say anything to me? Isn't he Wooin, the new boy who came transferring to my class last month?", Jiwoo thought to himself.

After a few seconds, he recorded the boy's name and assured his suspicions. "Yes, it's Wooin!" he said to himself.

Jiwoo waves a cheerful goodbye as he exclaims. "I'm really sorry, I have to go... see you later!"

He then walks down the stairs with great speed, excited to learn the method Mr. Kayden promised him to improve his strength.

'I'm looking forward to it,' he thinks to himself.

Suddenly, Wooin's phone rings and he picks it up to see who is calling.

"Professor?" he answers in a deadpan voice.

"Wooin, where are you?" asking the voice on the other end of the line.

"At school, sir," Wooin replies without showing any emotion.

"At school? And you decide to go there?" asks the teacher, surprised by the response.

"Sorry, sir," Wooin apologizes.

The professor continues to speak, his voice low and commanding through the phone. "Wooin, I didn't want to tell you anything so as not to alarm you, but I believe the sample has been confiscated by the trackers. I'm not sure if our position was revealed, but you should be careful of everyone around you, anyone could be a tracker following you."

Wooin's face shows surprise. "Really, Professor?"

"Yes, Wooin. When I told you I didn't find the sample, even when I forced the mark to wake up, it didn't appear and I felt some small auras in the distance," the professor explains seriously.

"Wooin, come back at once and be careful. When you're here, I'll tell you more," the professor concludes.

"Understood, sir. I'll be right back," Wooin replies with a serious tone in his voice.

....

[At Jiwoo's house]

"I arrived."

The door of the house opens and Jiwoo enters, the three cats jump happily to meet him

Kayden, in the distance, sighs.

"All of you as lively as ever? how have you been?" greets Jiwoo with a smile on his face.

Jiwoo pets the cats rubbing against his body and asks. "Kayden, how have you been in my absence?".

"I got here as fast as I could, classes were barely over," Jiwoo replied excitedly.

"Yeah, you got here faster than usual," Kayden says.

"Yeah, I came running," says Jiwoo smiling.

"Still not awake?" asks Jiwoo observing the striped gray cat lying on the couch.

"It's okay, he's just unconscious...," Kayden sighs but smiles and adds. "I want to show you something."

"Yeah, that's what he told me," Jiwoo replies excitedly.

"Don't you have a place with ample space?", Kayden asks.

"Yes, follow me," says Jiwoo.

Kayden looked around the spacious basement and said. "Not bad..."

"I don't have anywhere else, so I hope it will do," Jiwoo replied, sitting down across from Kayden in a chair.

"Let's get started," Kayden said in a serious tone. "What Ares taught you is a method to improve your powers faster. What I'm going to teach you is my method.... I don't think there's much difference between the two methods."

"Awakened powers don't increase out of nowhere, it takes years... except for geniuses," Kayden continued. "It depends on your talent. It could take years or even decades to see results."

"This long?" asked Jiwoo. "What if it doesn't work?"

"I don't know," Kayden admitted. "But your talent might not be so bad if you could learn the Ares method."

"Did it take you long?" asked Jiwoo.

"You're looking at the man who invented the method," Kayden replied proudly. "Come here," he motioned for Jiwoo to come closer.

"Yes, sir."

"Listen carefully... the power is in your heart and it spreads throughout your body like blood..... I will channel my powers to you, which will allow you to feel them move and grow. Focus all your attention on remembering that feeling so you can do it yourself."

"All right," Jiwoo said.

"Let's begin...remember, concentrate on the sensation."

Tiny sparks of electricity appeared in Kayden's hand and Jiwoo's face began to show pain.

"Bear it," Kayden instructed as the electricity spread in all directions and generated a flash as it entered Jiwoo's body.

"It will be hard for you to feel it at first, but take your time," Kayden said calmly, watching as Jiwoo began to control his power.

"Mr. Kayden, with your method, I can control the power easily," Jiwoo said, amazed.

"What? That shouldn't be happening," Kayden said, surprised.

"The power moves inside me like you taught me... it has a great similarity to the method my brother taught me," Jiwoo explained, looking at his body.

"Why does it move?" Kayden wondered.

'Even when I taught Ares, he didn't do it that easily,' Kayden thought. 'Does that mean Jiwoo's younger brother's talent is greater than his?'

'But Ares is considered a monster...', Kayden thought.

"What should I do now, Mr. Kayden?" asked Jiwoo.

"Sit in a meditative position and keep circulating my method," instructed Kayden.

"Yes, sir," replied Jiwoo, crossing his legs and meditating as he concentrated on circulating the method.

Kayden stared at Jiwoo's chest and saw a small swirl.

'Has he already gathered his energy in his heart?' thought Kayden.

'Even if my method is similar to what Jiwoo knows... it shouldn't be that easy. He only knows one part, which is the healing factor, not the electrical part,' Kayden mused.

'This is unbelievable... I've only seen such a rapid growth rate in Ares and myself,' Kayden thought, a devilish grin on his face.

'Ares, your brother is an incredible monster... another destroyer has been added to the family,' Kayden closed his eyes and continued to circle his force control.
