Chapter 143: [139] "The required respect"

[On the next day.]

[In the afternoon]

Jiwoo was immersed in his training when suddenly the doorbell rang, interrupting his concentration.

Kayden opened his eyes and thought, 'I felt that presence a few meters away, but I didn't expect it to come this far. Besides, this energy is completely foreign to any local organization.' He sat up from the ground and silently exchanged a meaningful glance with Kartein, who nodded in understanding.

Together, noiselessly, they followed Jiwoo until he opened the door and then settled on a nearby couch.

Jiwoo turned the door handle and was met by a middle-aged man, his black hair with some gray framed a serious face and dark eyes, he dressed elegantly in an impeccable suit.

The man bowed when he saw Jiwoo and greeted him respectfully. "Good afternoon, Mr. Jiwoo..."

Jiwoo was slightly surprised and, reciprocating the gesture, bowed and replied. "Good morning... May I know who you are?"

The man, with a respectful attitude, continued, "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wilford Griffith, I am the representative of the World Awakened Academy. I am here to invite you to visit our facility."

Jiwoo was surprised and responded. "How do you do, Wilford? Would you like to come in, so we can chat more comfortably?"

Wilford, showing mild surprise at Jiwoo's hospitality, responded gratefully. "Of course, I would be honored."

Wilford entered the house as he thought to himself. 'His attitude is different from what I had imagined.' As he crossed the threshold, his eyes fell on a chubby cat sitting on the couch, watching him with a contemptuous expression. Next to him, another white cat, visibly malnourished, shared the same critical gaze. Behind that couch were several other cats, hidden from his view.

Wilford stopped and surveyed the house carefully. Jiwoo, closing the door behind him, extended a cordial invitation. "You may take a seat over there," pointing to the armchair in front of the cats.

"Thank you," Wilford replied as he undid the button on his jacket and took a seat.

Jiwoo offered politely. "Would you like something to drink?"

Wilford shook his head and said. "No, thank you. I'll be brief so as not to take up your valuable time."

Jiwoo nodded with a slight expression of doubt as he noticed the tone of Wilford's words, but decided not to pay too much attention to him and sat down next to Kayden and Kartein.

'Who the hell is this guy' thought Kayden, as Kartein frowned at the sight of this man.

"I guess you already know that the other young men from Korea were invited to the World Academy, and as far as we know, you are under Shinhwa's care when you are in this country," Wilford commented.

Jiwoo nodded in agreement.

Wilford continued. "We did not send your invitation to Shinhwa, as we felt it would be disrespectful to you. Therefore, we decided to come personally to ask you if you would be willing to visit the World Awakened Academy."

"We appreciate your response as soon as possible, as the presence of someone like you could create some inconvenience. Our priority is to maintain your safety and that of your community to the highest possible standards," Wilford concluded with a tone of respect in his words.

Jiwoo looked at Wilford with a doubtful expression and replied. "I would have to take that up with my teacher, as I thought I was not invited."

"Don't worry, we'll give you the time you need to make a decision. It was a mistake on our part to make him think that. It would have been better to visit him as soon as we invited the other young men, instead of leaving it to the end," Wilford commented.

Wilford stood up and took another bow before continuing. "I just wanted to provide you with this information. I will be in this country until you give us an answer."

From his pocket, he pulled out a business card and handed it to Jiwoo, who stood up and accepted it.

"Here is my contact number. You can call me anytime. I'm leaving with your permission," Wilford said politely.

Jiwoo nodded and asked. "Leaving that fast?"

Wilford replied with a smile. "Yes, I don't want to take up any more of your time." With that, he made a final bow and quickly withdrew, leaving Jiwoo surprised at his promptness.

Jiwoo watched him as he walked away and, after a few seconds, turned his gaze to Kayden and Kartein, doubtful about what had just happened.

Kayden looked at Jiwoo and said. "Finally, the invitation you've been waiting so long for has arrived."

Kartein added, with a slight smile. "It was more surprising than I expected."

Jiwoo scratches his head and commented. "Your attitude is much different than I expected."

Kayden was silent as Kartein explained, "It's obvious. They're very wary of Kayden and especially Ares. They've already faced him once, and besides, since Kayden faced those guys from China, their fame has skyrocketed. They were known for being on a similar level to the top 10, and Ares has already proven that he can take on everyone except the top 10."

"If the two of them enter the World Academy, it would be scary, as they wouldn't be able to control them. That's why he said he wanted to know your answer as soon as possible, to prepare for what might happen," Kartein added.

Jiwoo looked a little worried and asked. "What should I do then?" After a brief silence, Kayden interjected with a smile and a confident attitude. "Do whatever you want to do. If you decide to go to the World Academy, I'll accompany you."

Jiwoo was surprised and replied while clenching his fist. "There are strong awakened there?"

Kartein nodded and explained. "At the World Academy, the youngest awakened from the most powerful organizations around the world gather."

"Then I'll go..." replied Jiwoo.

Kartein, with an ugly look, turned his head from side to side and thought to himself. 'These crazy people...'

"Are you sure? It won't be easy at all, the young men there hate Ares to death, and it's very likely that as soon as you arrive, they will challenge you and look for ways to defeat you" Kayden warned.

Jiwoo, with determination on his face, looked at Kayden and replied proudly. "I am his disciple, and he never turns down a challenge. They invited me, so I will accept the challenge to face their young men. I will show them what I am capable of."

Kayden smiled devilishly and said. "Then I'll help you crush them all. We'll train until you can't anymore." He got up from the couch and added. "Quick, let's train!"

"YIIIIII," Jiwoo shouted excitedly.

Kartein watched the two in high spirits silently.

"Call him and tell him you'll go," said Kayden.

Jiwoo nodded and pulled up Wilford's number to let him know that he would indeed be going to the World Awakened Academy.

[Shinhwa]

Jiyoung was sitting at her desk, surrounded by piles of papers.

At that moment, Inhyuk burst into the office in a hurried manner and announced. "President, an awakened one from the World Association of Awakened Ones, has entered the country and visited Jiwoo."

Jiyoung stopped signing the papers and asked curiously. "Who is it?"

"Wilford Griffith, he is in the top 30 of the world ranking of awakened ones and is a member of the prestigious Griffith family," Inhyuk replied.

"An individual of his caliber, highly involved in the World Awakened Association, visiting Jiwoo is quite unexpected" Inhyuk commented, showing his surprise.

Jiyoung frowned and questioned. "What reason brought him here?"

"Even I was surprised, but I guess he came to invite Jiwoo to join the World Academy," Inhyuk replied.

Jiyoung nodded and stood up from her desk, determined. "I'm going to visit Jiwoo."

"Sure," Inhyuk replied, bowing in a curtsy before Jiyoung left the office.

[Hotel CH, The Class]

Wilford was sitting on a leather sofa, one leg crossed over the other, deep in thought. His brow was furrowed as he muttered to himself. "I accept...although deep down inside I was hoping he wouldn't."

As he continued to think about his brief stay at Jiwoo's house, his eyes reflected a deep concern. "I had an uncomfortable feeling in that house. It was for the best to leave right away."

After a brief moment of silence to take it in, he pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

From the other end of the phone, a voice came on and said. "Hello?"

"It's me... Garrith," Wilford answered.

Garrith asked directly. "Did you accept the invitation?"

Wilford confirmed. "Yes, I told him that in two more weeks he would be taken to the world academy by me. I'll make sure he doesn't have any problems."

Garrith replied. "Well, it was obvious that he would accept, that's why I started the preparations early. That way we'll have more time to organize everything here and train our youngsters."

Wilford frowned, but did not elaborate on Garrith's words, and changed the subject. "I haven't been able to get much information about them here. I guess I'll have to ask him directly."

"I expected as much, even the World Association didn't know of their existence," Garrith commented.

Wilford, without further ado, cut off the conversation immediately and set his phone down on the glass table in front of him.

Wilford sighed, and his gaze rested on the ceiling as he pondered. 'The quartet from this country has already shocked the top brass at the academy, and besides, those other young men from the organization called Illuminati made them tremble in fear with their incredible potential.'

'I learned that many of them have not appeared, and it is said that they are training all day until they faint because of the gigantic consequence that defeat brought to them and their respective organizations.'

'Those defeats affected the world academy a lot, and now those four, along with Kayden Break's new disciple, will personally go there, it will be interesting to see what they do to fix their mess.'

'From what I heard, Kayden Break's disciple crushed Duke, and is said to be on a completely different level than the top ten of the World Academy. It was the same with the Illuminati youths, who defeated Arthur, Duke and Cain, and then crushed the four Korean youths.'

'Their presence, along with the woman named Lisa, whose power compares to the top 10 in the world rankings, would be like a ticking time bomb, and that includes Kayden and Ares, would be the icing on the cake.''

....

[World Awakened Academy]

[Student Council]

At a large rectangular table, four young men occupied one side, while on the other side, four others sat. At the head of the table sat the last two members of the top 10.

Laura, grumpily, broke the initial silence. "Why did you ask us to come to this meeting?"

Leah, on one of the headboards, answered earnestly. "The Director asked me to do so to relay important information to you."

Everyone frowned and fell silent, waiting to hear Leah's news.

"Kayden Break's disciple is coming," Leah announced, which caused everyone to involuntarily turn their gazes towards Duke.

Duke, arms crossed, clenched his fists tightly.

"Besides, that quartet from Korea is also coming with him in two weeks" Leah continued.

"We don't care about them. We should be careful with Kayden's disciple, I guess everyone must have an idea of his personality being that person's younger brother" commented Laura coldly.

They all nodded in agreement.

"He's Ares Seo's younger brother" added Cain, making everyone remember Ares' previous visit with distaste.

His personality is not a problem" opined Arthur.

Cain nodded and corrected. "He's different than they think."

"Unless he's like Duke..." commented Arthur, drawing everyone's attention. Then they all turned glances toward Duke, remembering his split personality problem.

"Get ready for what's coming. He may challenge most of us" warned Leah, causing the faces of those present to turn cold and the atmosphere in the room to become heavy.

[Frame]

Andrei, sitting on his throne, observes Earthquake, who is kneeling with his head down, looking at the floor.

"Lord Andrei, it has been confirmed that Kayden Break's disciple Break will be attending the World Awakened Academy. I have immediately begun preparing the important parts of the ambush, as you requested" Earthquake stated respectfully, keeping his gaze fixed on Andrei.

Then, with a hesitant tone, he asked. "But... do we go through with the plan?"

Andrei looked coldly at Earthquake, who felt a shiver run down his back, and replied. "Give me the information you were able to find out."

Earthquake confirmed, "Yes, sir. Garrith Luterain secretly took his Phoenix link to the academy, and many powerful awakened are also being transferred to the World Academy to serve as guards, security has more than doubled, and there will be several awakened from the world ranking

Andrei tightened his grip on the armrests of his throne and ordered. "Contact Supri and Schnauder and tell them to have a meeting to define our operation against the World Academy."

"Yes, sir," Earthquake replied.

"You are dismissed," Andrei concluded, and Earthquake left the room immediately.

Andrei, staring blankly and thoughtfully, muttered to himself. "We can't delay this mission any longer. We've been planning it for decades, and now is the perfect time. Even though that place will be a fortress, with the three of us landing a surprise hit, we'll not only be able to eliminate those young men, but also Garrith and several important awakened of the World Awakened Association. Plus, I'll be able to take care of those damned Kayden and Ares."

"Just wait, their grave will come soon," he concluded with determination.
