Chapter 9: Apology

Translator: Dragon Boat Translation Editor: Dragon Boat Translation

The entire hotel lobby fell silent.

Everyone's ears were still ringing from the loud slap.

Ivan jumped to his feet. "You F*cking bastard! How dare you hit me? Do you know who I am?"

Sienna was stunned for a moment, but then she snapped to her senses. "Jordan, run!"

The first thing that came to her mind was Jordan's safety because the Graham family was in charge of the security of this hotel.

And as expected, the guards were already alerted and were now ready to attack Jordan.

Ivan wiped the blood on his lip, his eyes flashing dangerously. "I must have thought wrong, Miss Sienna. It seems that you trained your dog well."

His friends laughed at his joke.

Sienna looked at all of the guards closing in on them. They were all tall and well-built. Jordan wouldn't be able to take them all down.

"Jordan, why did you do that?" Sienna muttered to him under her breath. "You should have controlled yourself. You should apologize to him."

"No." He looked at Ivan. "You apologize to her."

"What?" Ivan couldn't believe that this idiot was demanding something from him. "You want me to apologize?"

"Yes," Jordan answered easily. "Apologize to my wife. You can't expect to insult her like that and not come away with some consequences."

Sienna had been used to insults and no one doing anything about them that this was a huge shock to her.

She could feel her eyes getting teary.

Jordan was really standing up for her.

Ivan laughed. "Were those insults? I was just telling the truth. You've been married for three years. Are you just defending her honor so you can finally climb into her bed?"

As soon as Ivan said that, Jordan slapped him again.

The lobby was once again silent.

But then, after a while of silence, one of the security guards said, "Kill him!"

The guards rushed forward and tried to attack Jordan, but to everyone's surprise, Ivan himself got in the way, yelling, "Stop!"

He covered his red face and looked at Jordan. "You're the only person who ever hit me in public. Twice. You have guts."

His tone completely changed from bewilderment to grudging respect. He looked at Sienna. "Since Ken Andrich likes you, I will give you two choices. First, kneel in front of me and apologize, then go find Ken and give him what he wants. I will help your family."

"And the second option?" Jordan asked.

"The second is to offend my family and wait until you die," he declared.

Sienna's face contorted in fear and shock. "Jordan, don't fight him anymore."

Ivan was right. No one could possibly survive offending their family since they were affiliated with all the rich families.

Death would be the only outcome of offending them, and the Campbells no longer had that much power.

But it seemed that Jordan's death wouldn't be as mourned.

"I advise you to follow the first option," the guard said. "We're ready to kill you at the first warning, so be smart about it."

"What if I choose neither?" Jordan asked coldly.

"Then you die," Ivan said through gritted teeth.

He signaled the guards and they all jumped at Jordan like a bunch of hungry lions. But Jordan's lips curled up. Before the guards got close, they all fell down on the floor, suddenly seized by pain.

Ivan stared at all of them, shocked. "What? What are all of you doing? There's only one of him and eight of you!"

The head guard, who was crawling on the ground, "Sorry, sir. It seems that he has some martial arts tricks..."

"I didn't even see him hit you!" Ivan yelled.

This man was supposed to be the best since he was in an elite team, but it seemed that he wasn't very talented. Jordan managed to beat him and seven others without breaking a sweat.

"You're the heir of the Graham Security Company, right?" Jordan asked, turning to Ivan.

"That's right, so if I were you, I would run now," Ivan said, but he was startled. "There are cameras all over this place and I can sue you if you lay a hand on me again! My family would not let this go!"

His friends, who have retreated, began to talk again.

"Don't do anything stupid!"

"We're all here to keep an eye on you!"

Jordan just laughed at them, raising his right hand and watching Ivan stumble back.

With that, Jordan slapped Ivan again.

"I've been trying to reason out with you," Jordan said with another slap. "But you just don't listen."

The consecutive slaps made Ivan dizzy and disoriented. He spat out some blood and what looked like chips of his teeth.

Jordan saw this and retracted a bit of his strength.

At this moment, more of Ivan's people were standing at the side guarding him and watching everything unfold.

Up until this point, everyone labeled the Graham group an untouchable bond of people who everyone feared. They knew that Ivan always walked around like there were no consequences to his actions.

But today, by running into Jordan, he seemed to have learned a pretty important lesson.

Finally.

Ivan was on the ground, moaning and whimpering. Jordan put his foot on Ivan's chest, and Ivan felt like he was being crushed by a mountain.

"Apologize to her, now," Jordan said, putting more pressure on his foot.

But just then, the elevator doors fly open, and out came Ken, followed by a fleet of servants who looked like his close followers.

He and Ivan were close, so he knew that Ivan had dabbled in fighting before, but his face turned white when he saw Ivan now. "Stop that!"

Ivan raised his gaze as though he had just seen his savior. "Ken! Save me!"

Ken was worried. "Jordan, please keep your foot away from him. Let's talk this out."

He had just witnessed Jordan crush diamonds with his bare hand. He knew that that man's foot could do more damage, and it would most likely break Ivan.

"You're still here," Jordan said. "I didn't know you negotiate this time."

Ivan cried out. "Please! Please just save me..."

"Ivan, just say you're sorry and he would let you go," Ken said, knowing better. He knew that Jordan would not let go unless he heard what he wanted to hear.

"If he was normal, I would have said sorry," Ivan said stubbornly. "But I would never apologize to this retard! I can't let this get out! I can't be laughed at!"

Ken swallowed hard. That should be the least of Ivan's worries. Why was this kid so stubborn?

He looked at Jordan and tried the worst way possible. "Please let go of him. I'm begging you."
