Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Welcome to Tower Academy (2)
Perseus POV
I headed in the giant circular portal of the human world side and arrived on the first floor where there is a giant tower in the middle, which is the academy, we have no idea what the outsides of the tower looks like, but it must be huge since the size of one end to another of each floor can vary from hundreds to thousands of km.
The academy is huge, the length is that of a town, but then the insides is probably enchanted with spatial magic so it's probably bigger on the inside to fit every student.
Yes, we use the metric system, every race apart does, apart from a few selected countries of the human that world still use the other outdated versions of measurements.
Each race may speak different languages, but the 13 gods made it so that we can all understand each other in our preferred language, which the humans chose English because that's the language of what the author is writing this novel with.
Anyway, back to the main story. Oh man, there are tens of thousands of people here, it seems like despite over 60% of people choosing to not to raid the tower. i can see so many of the academy's uniform.
Inside the tower, it have varying looks, but the first floor have a mixture of both fantasy and modern infrastructure feel to it.
Open forges, stalls of food selling questionable items, and many selling equipments or appraising things. I then headed straight to the academy, luckily I'm one of the rare ones who learned spatial storage before attending the academy so I don't have to worry about pickpockets.
The tutorial floors forbid raiders to kill each other, but torture, stealing and many loopholes are there to make sure you are on your tiptoes though. I got to make sure to keep a look out for Cordelia apparently, it sounds like an old lady's name, but I'll give her a nickname later.
I made my way into the academy, people were flying around, some are walking on walls, and most are just talking with each other in the lobby. I then headed to a restroom stall and make sure that I'm in there by myself.
"Status."
I then opened the status in private since I don't want others to know my information. It showed my name, nickname, age, sibling and many other information that I do not want to release to you readers to make this novel more interesting, the tower assign people to their dorm room, and my room number...420, hell yeah!
Other people go to colleges and overpay for them, while I'm here getting education for free and living rent free in room number 420, only protagonists have benefits like this.
I need to be the handsome guy at this school no matter what, I'm going to stay up all night tonight and sleep in the lecture tomorrow, and as I wake up and flick my hair showing my face, I will be given a nickname by the other students like 'the sleeping prince' or something.
Though one thing for sure, the tower assigned me to the A class, A comes in first in the alphabets, the students of this class are elites, it seems like despite trying to deliberately lower my score in high school, the tower managed to catch on, shit. Other class, like B class are divided further into sections, like B-1, B-2 and so on.
I hope the first day tomorrow is uneventful.
I just raised a flag, didn't I? Fuck!
Eventful things always happen to the protagonist, things seemed to always be conveniently there for some reason, oh I need this herb to cure my sick mom, and what do you know, there's a tournament that give out that 1 in a trillion herb just around the corner.
Stupid tower, giving me a nickname wasn't enough for ya, when I meet those 13 stupid idiots again, I'll give them a piece of my mind, hmm, what if I take out my anger on their saints, cuz I already called them profanities in their temple, but it seems to not have any response at all.
An 18 year old named?! I'm the fucking youngest one in history! I shouldn't have come practice in the tower before it reset.
Wait, I need to calm down, I'm the protagonist, being overpowered will have people flocking towards me, it means popularity, that I can have a harem.

I head out of the bathroom and go to the the academy's waypoint.
"5th floor."
My body then turned into strings of light and in a split second, I'm no longer on the lobby floor and got to the 5th floor, it seems that many students are cramped up near the way point.
I then got a notification as I left the way point.
'What room number would you like to be warped to?'
But on the side of the screen is also a list of hallway, like 1-1000, 1001-2000...etc. And we can scroll it and just warp there, but I entered my room number, got in and take the stuff out of my spatial space to decorate my room. It is about 7m*7m, it has a decent size bathroom and a kitchen.
Fortunately the academy is only 3 years, and this room will do as my home. I then feel my phone vibrate in my pocket.
'Diana.'
Ah my sister.
"Hey sis, what do you need?"
"You settle in yet?" she asked "Did you get anyone's attention yet? People would connect our last names soon."
"I just finished putting down my stuff, besides, don't worry, tomorrow is the first day of the academy, and our last name is common."
"Your status as a named is going to be revealed soon though, the gods said that your status as a named will be publicly revealed once you come of age and attend the academy."
"Well it's not like we're the only one who knows, but it does suck that my name have to be revealed on the stupid list, luckily I'm now an official member of the clan, so no one can pester me to join their shit."
"You just joined because we offered you the most money."
"Well I just want to be rich, and some floors can only be passed solo anyway, going to one of the top clans isn't going to be a guaranteed success. Might as well make a lot of money."
"Do you want me to come visit you?" she asked
"Eh, I don't mind, I miss your beauty already."
"Well remember Perseus, the first month, you'll be given food from the cafeteria, but after that, the academy will have you hunt for your own food and cook them for yourself."
"I know, don't worry. Still can't believe that I have to wear a uniform on the weekdays to enter though and school doesn't start till tomorrow."
Still, please let tomorrow be an uneventful first day, it's been only 2 chapters.
