Xanthus's fierce snarl towards Illay created an intense aura among everyone surrounding them, as well as it quickly silenced the knights who were cheering loudly for Illay on his side. Even when Maximus turned his gaze towards Illay with much confusion, he was slightly startled to see a devious smirk slowly curving Illay's lips.
"Uh-Huh, I didn't expect you to get a hold of it so fast, big brother." But without showing any sign of confusion, Illay rather uttered confidently while clenching the grip of his sword tight. He even mustered a few steps near and peering a stern gaze into his raging eyes, he smirked, "Yet still, I didn't expect you to figure it out so soon, brother. We are not even halfway in our duel!"
NOTE: Dear readers, I am extremely sorry for the few days' delay. Both my parents as well as I got severely sick with Covid and we all had to get hospitalized to recover. I am still not recovered yet, but I am really sorry for making you all wait for the chapters. Your support means the world to me, so please...keep loving and supporting this poor author! My health has been really getting worse this whole year and I am recently discharged from hospital, but I will do my best to come back with daily updates. After all, there's a lot of our Xanthus and Noah's story to uncover. Thank you for loving and supporting them.
