Chapter 30: Chapter 29: Sightseeing in Le Country
"I have none.
And do I even need to marry?
I think I have all the things I need right now.
What would I even use a husband for?
I don't need a headache inducer," Loraine shrugged, and Sarah chuckled yet again.
"Well, you do have everything you need," Sarah agreed, though, after chuckling at Loraine's statement.
Seeing that Loraine was exhausted, Sarah didn't continue the conversation and said her goodbyes to let her rest.
And that she did. Loraine enjoyed lazing around for a whole day. She slept soundly and just enjoyed the rest of the day in her bed.
'This is what you call life! ' Loraine sighed contentedly as she enjoyed a warm bath next.
The following day, she was brimming with energy.
A full day of rest was all she needed.
Now, with all the energy she had, Loraine decided to visit different places in Le Country. She figured she might as well go sightseeing since they were already there.
Her first stop was to see their famed cherry blossoms.
As soon as she arrived, she was captivated by the scenery.
It was beyond gorgeous.
The cherry blossoms lined up with their ethereal pink blossoms. Under them was a carpet of fallen petals, creating a wonderful view that seemed like a scene from a fairy tale.
Time seemed to slow down as she immersed herself in the scenery, giving her an even greater sense of rejuvenation.
Loraine took a lot of photos before she was satisfied.
In her former world, she could only watch other people's posts in envy, thinking that in the future, she would be the one going to such places too.
Yet she wasn't able to do it. Only now, in her second life, was she able to do it.
'There's no time to be depressed. I should just enjoy this second chance!' Loraine pumped herself up.
Her next stop was to visit the famous temples here.
Her guards accompanied her as Loraine visited different temples in different locations.
Whether the temples were in the city or the mountains, they were majestic structures that spoke of the history this country had once lived.
All the temples had intricate designs depicting gods, goddesses, and other mythical beings with their own stories.
Loraine heard a lot about their folk tales and myths as she toured around.
It was a country rich in culture and likewise blessed with nature.
For a month, Loraine visited a lot of places in Le country. She also tasted a lot of their unique cuisines.
She was falling in love with this country. Maybe she could just stay here.
However, Loraine wanted to tour the whole world, so she would not settle in one country.
She would see the world this time!
But probably, after some rest,.
"Miss Loraine, are you planning to continue sightseeing for the rest of the week?" Sarah inquired.
Loraine had been sightseeing for a while.
"No, I don't have any plans for next week. You can rest with the others first." Loraine was sure Sarah must be tired too.
She seemed to have enjoyed the tours as well, but touring around every day was exhausting.
It was something new that Loraine discovered.
Tours can be exhausting and rejuvenating at the same time.
It was something along the lines of healing her soul but exhausting her body.
"Okay, Miss. I will inform Mr. Mo and the others," Sarah said, and she left Loraine's room.
'This whole month was a blast,' Loraine sighed contently as she lay down on her soft queen-sized bed.
It was as if she was being rewarded for helping out Mr. Alistair and his cohorts.
Loraine thoroughly enjoyed traveling around Le Country. She once again felt that it was indeed good to have lots of money and time on your hands.
Since she was done touring everything there was in Le Country, Loraine planned to rest for the remaining days of the week.
Of course, it was also for the people around her.
She knew that while she was enjoying herself, her bodyguards and assistants were busy protecting her and coordinating her travel plans with other people.
With her just staying indoors this time, they could go out in turns and have tours of their own and buy souvenirs for their friends and families.
'Hmm… Where's my phone? ' Loraine got up when she recalled it was still in her bag.
She had to fetch it and settle down on the couch.
When she unlocked her phone to see if any intriguing news or events were going on, she noticed a trending post about Hilton Enterprise.
The post featured the yearly meeting of the Hilton Enterprise.
Most normal people wouldn't pay attention to anything business-related, so the post shouldn't be trending.
Looking at the comments, the photo attached showing the attendees made it trending.
"Wow, the Hiltons are so hot and handsome!"
"I wish to marry one of them!"
"Mr. Alistair is the most handsome! I will marry him!"
"If Mr. Alistair can just smile at me, I will do anything!"
"Mr. Alistair is already my husband! Don't compete with me!"
"But why is my husband in a wheelchair?"
"What happened to my husband?! Poor him. How could anyone hurt such a kind and dashing person?!"
"I am distressed for my husband. There is no news about the reason for his sudden state!"
Loraine blinks repeatedly after reading the comments. People were getting out of hand and being overly dramatic about the Hiltons.
What caught her attention, though, was that most of the comments were about how hot and handsome Mr. Alistair was and why he was suddenly sitting in a wheelchair.
After helping Mr. Alistair, Loraine also went out of her way to learn more about him.
She still had rewards to claim from him, so it was better to know the extent of what was within his power so she could maximize the promise he made.
Loraine wanted to know just how broad the term 'within his power' meant. And since Mr. Alistair was this world's youngest billionaire, she was sure it wasn't something measly.
Thus, after her conversation with Sarah last time, she went online, trying to search for more details about him. And Loraine did learn a few more things about him.
