Chapter 5: In Motion

Just as Alpha Rinzler had prepared himself for that sad act in front of his father and his sister, Doctor Bedelia did too, and she excelled. The pack believed their alpha was dead even though they were not mourning.

Apart from making sure the pack believed Alpha Fisher was dead, she was tasked to confirm to Marina when she called.

The four of them bet on their lives that Marina would call her, and indeed that was what happened. Marina even ended the call before her mother would tell her she was hurting. The girl hated her mother in a way no one in the pack understood.

Yes, there have been rumors that Luna Audra has been sleeping around with Beta Shark, but that hatred was too deep to say it was because of that.

Act 2 for her was over. Doctor Bedelia has already confirmed to Marina that her father was dead.

She sighed as she glanced around her chamber. By now the news had already arrived at the Mountain Pack, she rushed to the bathroom, splashed some water on her face, and thought of a joke she would tell her brother when they brought him back.

"Crying doesn't suit me." Doctor Bedelia said as she wiped the water off of her face.

She returned to her chamber and got her phone from the bed, they had to follow the plan properly, so she dialed Alpha Rinzler's number. The man received it immediately and said, "I am preparing to leave."

"If it is not that I have been bawling my eyes out so these bastards I call pack members can see how sad I am, I would have said you look ridiculous with that puppy look on your face." Doctor Bedelia said.

"I can't wait. You have no idea how I feel right now." Alpha Rinzler said.

Doctor Bedelia chuckled, "are you sure this isn't why she rejected you in the first place?"

"What the hell, Bedelia?"

"Sorry." Doctor Bedelia whispered a goofy smile.

Alpha Rinzler hummed.

"I have spoken to her." Doctor Bedelia said.

A goofy smile appeared on his face, he asked, "should I call her?"

"You should hear yourself right now." Responded Doctor Bedelia.

"I am her mate, don't you think her wolf is waiting for me to call and tell her I am here for her?" Alpha Rinzler asked. He imagined Marina somewhere in the corner, crying her eyes out as she thought of all her happy memories with her father.

Oh, if only he knew.

Doctor Bedelia sighed, she remembered her brother telling her she should take control of Alpha Rinzler acted the way he was at the moment. Speaking things they warned him not to even think about.

"Rinzler." Doctor Bedelia began, no longer smiling. She knew she had to choose her words well.

"What? It is not a bad idea. She is my mate."

"I know. But let us follow the plan, okay? She should be here soon. You will tell her then."

"I know." Alpha Rinzler said and groaned. "It is just that..." He paused and then shrugged, "okay. Let me prepare."

Doctor Bedelia nodded.

"Inform Manne right away."

"I will." Doctor Bedelia said and ended the call.

She inhaled deeply thrice as she thought of the saddest moment in her life. She had a lot of that, but one that stood out brought tears to her face. "Fuck. That is so fast." She mumbled to herself and left the chambers to find High Priestess Mannequin.

***

High Priestess Mannequin, or Manne, or Quin, or just High Priestess. Depend on who was calling her. And two, depending on her mood of that day was inside the chamber where Alpha Fisher's body was.

An evil smirk sat on her face.

If anyone saw her, they would say she had something under her sleeve. And honestly, there was something about that smirk. It screamed danger. But hey, no one was there, she was alone with the body. She stared at the dead body, thinking of where he was at the moment.

Her fantasy ran wild, unlike no one she knew.

Before she could imagine more, she heard footsteps approaching. She knew who it was. The smile disappeared from her face as she headed to the door, she swung it open

"Come in." High Priestess said softly. Doctor Bedelia walked in. They didn't even exchange pleasantries. Well, there was no time for that. The alpha was dead. The plan was in motion. Busy! Busy! Busy!

"She is aware." Doctor Bedelia said, trying her best not to stare at the body on the bed. It might be a plan, but still, he was dead. She didn't want to look at the body more than she should. She did that already when she removed it from his chamber.

"Let the wait begin then." High Priest replied. Finally! "The room?" She asked.

"Let me check right now." Doctor Bedelia said. The room was where they planned to take Marina as soon as she arrived. They would lie to her that Alpha Fisher's body was there, only that, it would be Alpha Rinzler waiting.

"Okay. Inform me in case of anything." High Priestess Manne said.

"Of course." Doctor Bedelia said and left.

High Priestess Mannequin waved, and the door locked.

She took his hand and then let it drop, "dead. Plan A. Done."

As she stared at the body, one particular thought crossed her mind, "oh, Alpha Fisher, why did you trust me?"
