Chapter 9: Chapter 08: Space travel 00.
Knax lead Palin to his house in settlement district. Xander have district system which separate it people from the business district, a public district uses by everyone for relaxing and walking and a government district which consists of governmental stuff like military, police force and houses for the officials and soldiers. The settlement district was a place which a place for the citizen to live.
Knax has pink skin, violet eyes and have a meek face but his face was misleading he was an ex galactic police but retire and create his restaurant with his wife when she was pregnant. He really love his family that why he desperate and asked me to join him. I don't know how he know I am a fighter but I just shrugged it off as an extinct of a fighter he is. He has this air on him when he walks like he ready to strike when he shows himself in the open.
He led me to his backyard which has a bench and can be seen by his neighbors. He was really cautious person even though he acts rash and asking helps to a stranger.
We sat down and he started, "So you want an identity?". "Yes", I reply. "mmm I can help you but may I know where you from I need to know that you ain't no criminal and I can also trust you with my back when we went to save my family". "What happen to your family how can they kidnapped. Do you have something that prompt the kidnappers to take your family?", I asked as I was confused about his situation. "Well for that it was a bit complicated. My wife before pregnant she was a chief scientist in her organization which I don't know about. I thought she works as a doctor in some military because she always talks about confidential patients which I relate it to the military. Sigh, but it was a private organization and she works on something that can developed a brain without any effect which can make someone a genius". He finish with an exhale then look at me and ask if I really can infiltrate and get information on the organization that hire the slave traders or not. I said yes, and then he told me I can rest in his house while he went and try his luck to create an identification card from me.
I step inside his house and scrutinized the house and saw a family photo of a couple and a girl. They look lovely the kid take the eye of her mother which was gold. The mother was beautiful she has golden eyes and fair skin. Her hair has a color of blue which I don't know if it natural. I went and sat on couch and meditate. I meditate there for a few hours when I feel the air changes. I open my eyes and took a look at the door. I stood up move toward the door and crouch down. I prepare my weapon and hold it steady. When the handle creak I charge my weapon with chi. The weapon hums and purple light flicker non stop. I stay that way until the door fully open.
The door flung open a figure appears and I rush placing Olethros at it face. I was taken aback when the figure place a plasma gun under my belly. I look who it is and turns out to be Knax. We back off a bit and stay in silence for a few moment. "So did you get it?", I break the ice by asking him about the GID (Galactic Identification Card). "Here, now we can move out without any obstruction from your side". He told me while handing me my card and translator. I look at the device and play with it for a few time before he told me to place it underneath my earlobe. The device adjust itself and register my DNA by pricking my skin after that it flicker and went invisible. I test it with other languages like Xandarian if I spoke it which I did. I grinned ecstasy from this device now I can go and register my name on the Mercenary Corps. I was awaken by a slight push from the back by Knax who walk to the door.
I follow him toward the dock a dock for ship not just ship but a spaceship. I look at the ship a some were sold by the government or big companies. I follow him toward one the ship which has a slick appearance and it model based on a frigate bird. It has curved and exotic appearance painted in black and gold. Well the gold used to paint the outline of the ship and the black was the main color. He stopped infront of the ship and do something on his smartband like tech thing. He use it and the plane or ship open it doors.
"Look like you have a deep background looking at this thing?" I said while looking around inside the ship.
"It nothing, the ship was bought last month as we thought about going to visit Crosucant as a family trip but some things happen and now I'm using it as a rescue ship", he said while walking toward the pilot seat. I follow along and sat at seat behind him. The ship was big it can housed about ten people in it while there was a lot free space for more. He contacted the terminal and given the green light. I sat down with marvel and anticipate of when will I get my ship and maybe a crew.
