Chapter 14: CHAPTER FOURTEEN: REPARATIONS

"So let me get this straight, since that party you and Luca had been talking and you didn't tell me?!" Angelica exclaimed angrily.

"Can someone tell me who the fuck Luca is?" Gabby asked impatiently.

"He's the vice chancellor's son who I made out with last night unknowingly because I was fucking high. His mum died last night that's why I went to see him as good friends would do" Sianna rushed.

"You made out with Luca Castaigne?!" Angelica asked shocked.

"Lower your voice Angelica" Sianna demanded politely.

"I remember when you thought it disgusting to make out with Luca" Angelica said.

FLASHBACK

"Eww, gross! The last thing I'm gonna do is make out with a narcissistic daddy's boy. I'm just gonna apologise for almost killing him and then leave his sight" Sianna said confidently.

"I know, I was wrong for thinking that way and I promise that this is the last you're gonna hear of I and Luca" Sianna declared.

"And why is that?" Gabby asked concerned.

"We're back to how it was...him knowing me as the girl that almost killed him and I knowing him as the boy I hated" Sianna said sadly.

"Sianna look at me...do you love Luca?" Gabby said as she put her both hands on Sianna's shoulders.

"No" Sianna lied boldly.

"Are you sure?" Angelica asked concerned.

"I'm sure guys" Sianna said assuring the both of them that she had no feelings for Luca. They all went to their beds and rested for the day.

"Can I take the blindfolds off now?" Veronica asked nervously. She and Callum had been on the road for hours. They were on a hill. It was evening time and the sun was about to set. Callum had arranged a lovely-looking small picnic for both of them on the green grass.

"You can now" Callum said and Veronica took it off out of excitement.

"Surprise" Callum said with a calm voice and a smile. Veronica was surprised.

"It's beautiful" Veronica said as though she wanted to cry.

"Let's watch the sunset Ronnie" Callum said and then they laid on the sheet Callum had laid flat on the grass. They watched the sunset and smiled.

"So, how did you know this place?" Veronica asked with a smile as she turned to face Callum.

"My dad and I use to come here to let go of all that's bothering us. We would say our troubles out loud believing that they would be solved. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't" Callum said sadly.

"Life is full of ups and downs Callum. You know what, I wanna try you and your dad's tradition" Veronica declared with a smile as she turned to face the sky.

"Really?" Callum asked surprised.

"Yeah. I don't wanna make stupid decisions anymore. I don't wanna get hurt anymore...your turn" Veronica said with a smile.

"Well... I wish Veronica Rodriguez would let me show her that choosing me would never be a stupid decision. I wish she would know that I will never hurt her. In other words... I wish she would let me show her unconditional love because I truly love her" Callum said and his words pierced her soul.

"Do you really mean that?" Veronica asked nervously.

"I do Ronnie" Callum said as he turned over to face her. Then both of them slowly went for a kiss. It began softly at first but it became vigorous when they began ruffling the sheets on the grass. They began undressing each other. Callum pulled Veronica's top off while Veronica pulled his. They continued kissing and caressing each other. Veronica saw Callum pull off his trouser and she became confused but she continued kissing him nevertheless. Callum had intentions of taking off her trousers so he began caressing her behind as they kissed. He slid his hands into her trousers and when Veronica felt his hands there, she pulled them out and then withdrew herself from Callum's grasp.

"Can we not...go there" Veronica begged nervously.

"Sure, I'm sorry Ronnie...whenever you're ready" Callum said with remorse.

"Thank you. Umm... I think I wanna go back now" Veronica said and Callum agreed with her. They put on their clothes and then packed the picnic materials and took them to the booth of the car. Then Callum opened the doors of the car for Veronica to enter and then they drove off.

Sloane prepared coffee for herself while she sat in the dining room. She looked pale and gloomy. She had just returned from work stressed as usual. As she took sips from her coffee mug, the confrontation she had with her daughter kept on replaying in her head. Subsequently, she began crying. She wiped her tears off and then got her phone and texted Calvin; Sianna's dad asking him if he could come over. She waited and waited for his response but she never got any. She got pissed and then threw her phone against the wall and cried the more. Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door and wondered who it could be. She quickly wiped away her tears and calmly went to open the door. To her greatest surprise, standing before her was Calvin.

"I've disappointed you and Sianna in the past... I'm not about to do that again" Calvin said with remorse and immediately Sloane hugged him with tears in her eyes.

"I'm here for you baby" Calvin said with a pitiful smile. She invited him in. He sat on the dining chair as Sloane made a cup of coffee for him.

"Calvin...umm...do you think that I'm a bad mother to our daughter" Sloane asked sniffling in between as she prepared Calvin's coffee.

"You've gone through a lot Sloane... I put you two through a lot. If there's anyone that has been bad it's me. So never blame yourself for the things I did in the past" Calvin said with remorse. Sloane was done with the coffee so she handed it over to him and sat on the chair opposite Calvin.

"Yesterday, I went to her school to see her. She called me an over-controlling, manipulative, selfish, loser piece of trash and I was just wondering..." Sloane said trying to find back the tears in her eyes.

"It's okay baby" Calvin said as he hurriedly rushed to hug Sloane to stop her from crying but she cried nevertheless.

"What did I ever do to deserve the way she sees me? It used to be just the two of us the years you left. Sianna and Sloane...always and forever. But now look at us, so distant in all aspects. I almost don't recognise her anymore" Sloane confessed crying.

"It was all my fault Sloane. God, I regret leaving the both of you" Calvin said trying to console her.

"I'll talk to her. I deserve to be called names and not you. I'm gonna fix it all. Maybe it will no longer be just the both of you but the three of us...yes... Calvin, Sloane and Sianna...always and forever" Calvin thought in his head.
