Chapter 93: CHAPTER 93
The door bell rang making drop beside me on the bed. I'm sure we were both thinking the same thing at that time, 'who the hell is trying to ruin our moment?', I thought. just when I was about to give him a short kiss on the cheek the door bell rang again making him get up lazily from the bed, he took his shirt and walked towards the door to open it before turning back to look at my naked body lying on the bed. I hid myself under the blanket when i heard the door open and close before coming out of my hiding. I got out of the bed, dressed up and walked out of the room when i heard two guys talking. i knew the voices and definitely one was Keenan and the other was Ryder. i wanted to listen to whatever they were talking about so i walked back inside and closed the door quietly but not completely .
"Were you able to get her phone?", I' heard Ryder ask
"We can just ask her for it, she would understand", Keenan responded
"what do you mean by we can just ask her for it? don't you think she would be suspicious as to why you suddenly want her phone?", Ryder asked confusingly
"its okay, she would be fine with it.... just a minute"' he said and I heard his footsteps drawing closer so I jumped unto the bed as if I had been lying there the whole time
"is everything okay?', I asked him and he sat beside me on the bed
"would you mind lending your phone to me for a day?", he asked and i just stared at him
"its fine if you don't want to, I'm not going to force you"' he added.
"its okay, you can have it" ,I told him and he just smiled.
"Aren't you going to ask me why i want it?"
"I think its something important and besides I trust you so its fine", he was silent for a while before placing a kiss on my forehead.
He walked out of the room and I followed him , besides I wouldn't know what i will be doing inside alone. My eyes met with Ryder's and he looked surprised, as if he wanted to say, 'no wonder he said she would understand'.
"Ash,I didn't know you were here... how are you doing?", the sounded nervous
"I'm doing great, how are things between you and Jenne?", i just asked making my way to sit in the sofa.
"We are fine...but what are you doing here?", he finally asked what seemed to have been eating him up
"Oh i came to let Mr Russell know how much i love him and warn him never to try running away from me", i said staring at Keenan who was staring back.
"So like you guys are like a thing now?"
"Are we?" ,I threw the question back at Keenan who never stopped staring at me.
"where is your phone?", was all that he could ask at that moment and i understood looking at how he was suddenly turning red.
"Here", I said handing the phone to over to him.
"Over to you, IT guy", he also handed the phone to Ryder and rubbed his hand on my thigh.
"I'm still here, if you guys don't mind"', Ryder said making us laugh.
Ryder then got focused on the laptop and only heavens knew what he was doing, i said it was okay if the didn't explain to me what was going on but then curiosity got the best of of me. i looked at Keenan and i think he understood what was going on inside my head.
"the thing is that, someone sent you pictures of that day and we are trying to track the sender, i think the sender might be related to my mum's kidnapper or might know something about that", he explained but i wasn't satisfied with the explanation.
"And how did you know someone sent me those pictures because i didn't see anything on my phone"
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier but i deleted them from your phone even before you could open it"
"its fine but don't hide anything from me anymore, okay?", I pleaded.
"Gotcha", Ryder exclaimed drawing our attentions back to him.
"Did you find something?", Keenan was quick to ask.
"All that bastard has to do is to send her a message then we are done"', he replied satisfied with himself.
"Good, you can leave now", Keenan said as if he was driving Ryder out of the house which made me giggle.
"Relax man, don't you think i deserve some explanations here and besides i have to wait here in case the person texts we will all witness it",
"You can wait here, we will be heading to the room to complete some unfinished business which you interrupted", Keenan rose to his feet and dragged me along heading towards the door when Ryder shouted
"Here you are".
"Has he texted?", Keenan asked rushing back to Ryder.
"I've gotten his location, come see", he responded joy evident in his voice.
He handed the laptop over to Keenan and started staring at me.. "Isn't that Reuben's neighborhood? why is the signal coming from there?", he asked making Ryder take off his deadly glare off my face.
"i think I will have to head home before Ana starts to get worried, i wasn't in good shape before leaving the house", i told the two guys who were busily engrossed in the laptop.
"let me get my keys and drive you home", Keenan requested
"Don't worry, I'm not sure Ana would be pleased to see you, let me go and explain things to her first then you can come later", I told him and he understood.
"let me know when you get home then", he said kissing me till Ryder cleared his throat.
"Can i have my phone now?", i asked and Ryder handed it over to me.
"Bye guys", i said and walked out.
