Chapter 7: Preparation for dinner (Edited)

"So, are you going to wear them?" Lucy teased.

Amandla rolled her eyes. "Me? Are you nuts? I was thinking, why don't I go buy an outfit for tonight? He said I have to dine with his grandfather."

"You have gowns baby!"

"Are you helping me or not?"

Lucy got a bit serious on seeing Amy's mood change too. "I am. Wait, hasn't he given you his black card for shopping?"

"Lucy this is not a fantasy romance story and he is not in love with me nor obligated to me. Oh, haven't I told you that he said that his grandfather was the one who arranged the marriage? And I got married to his pen, Lucy!"

Lucy burst out laughing as Amy watched her with no interest. "So, you kissed the pen?"

"Yep, and carried it to the car."

Lucy cracked up again and Amy waited patiently until she finished. "Amy, why do you want to kill me?" she laughed again and this time Amandla sat on her bed until she finished laughing.

"So, can we please go shopping?" she asked irritated once Lucy had quieted down.

"Sure, let's meet at the usual mall."

"Okey dockey." She hung up and got the damn dress out of her body. "Helen!" she called.

The maid appeared by her door and she couldn't help but wonder if she was just around waiting for her orders. "Do you have trousers I could wear or a short?"

Helen nodded. "Yes, I do, I will get them for you."

After she left, Amandla collapsed on the comfy bed and stretched herself. In this house, sleeping all day wouldn't be a problem. A small laugh escaped her lips. If she was capable of sleeping in the haystack she called bed back at her father's house, this was going to be a piece of cake. Finally, she felt like a queen, thou the circumstances were different, she knew that even if she worked her ass off all her life, she might never really be able to get a lifestyle like the one she was getting into. Even her father wasn't a quarter close to it, not even an eighth or the half of an eighth, she giggled at her silly thoughts.

Helen came back with a multi-colored shirt and faded jeans with plain sneakers. Well, that would do. "Is this yours?" she asked noticing that her body and hers were almost the same sizes.

"Yes, Amy."

"I'll pay you back."

"No need."

Amandla flashed her, a huge smile and went to change. "Ohm Helen," she called after getting changed. "Do you think I could get a cab or something around here?"

Helen blinked confusedly. "But Ma'am, there are several cars in the parking lot and chauffeurs."

Amandla scratched her neck; she wondered what Jeff's reaction was going to be when she used his cars. "I don't want that boss of yours to kill me."

"It is not in my place to speak but the master has so many cars I don't think he would mind…" Amandla was already out looking for the parking lot getting lost in the house numerous times. Realizing that she didn't even know the house, she asked a stray servant for directions and she was led to an underground garage.

There before her were cars lined up, black and grey. Whoa, this man had a thing for these colors. She took her time to admire the cars and even sniffed the air near the garage and nodded her head at the cars that seemed to be begging her to use them. Had Jeff really used all the cars? No, she shook her head, unless he changed per second. Well, he needn't worry, she would gladly help him. She walked to a black mahogany table to the left of the entrance where keys were piled up and she took a random key, pressed it and the car that reacted to it was going to be hers for the day.

Light flickered from a black car a few rows from her. She skipped to it and got in. Goodness was this Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maybach?

She started it and slowly took it from the garage and sped out of the compound leaving the guards watching her in shock. Wait, she counted around four gates as she sped away. This guy, she thought as she crossed the fifth one and ten minutes later got into the city. Even if he was a CEO, how could a man have so many gates, was his yard full of drugs? Her hand found its way to her mouth, this was Lucy's influence and her fictional books and movies.

She arrived at the mall, parked the gorgeous car, and skipped out of it happily. As usual, Lucy was in the ice cream parlor. "Here I am."

"That was fast."

"You may not want to hear which car I used here."

Lucy was already bouncing in her seat with curiosity. "Tell me."

Amandla gave her a mysterious smile to keep her a bay as she ordered her favorite and they made their way to Amandla's clothes corner. She got black ripped jeans, white T-shirts, cropped black hoods, and white sneakers not to forget black bandanas.

"Okay fashion freak. I think you're ready to annoy those rich brats." Lucy said and chuckled a bit.

Amandla took the bags from the counter once Lucy paid for them and led her to her car. "I don't know why I feel as if I have been your amusement these days."

"What to do, what to do, my brother is still hospitalized and I only have you to amuse me. That sick boy can't even strain…" Lucy screamed once Amandla opened the car. "Goodness, gracious! Don't tell me this is Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maybach! I have been dying to use one!" another scream attracting all the passers-by's attention.

"It would be nice if you tone that down a bit."

Lucy dismissed her with her hand as she walked around the car. "You actually drove this?" she touched the car, smelled it, and even licked it. "Tastes and smells like money! Oh, baby, I'm so jealous."

"You can have him," Amandla said seriously as she slipped into the driver's seat. Lucy and her drama, she was used to it.

"Oh my God!" Lucy was still obsessed with admiring the car.

As soon as she shut her door, Amandla sped out of the mall and dropped Lucy home. "Say hi to Louise, and tell him I got married." She waved at Lucy who was still looking at the car with fascination before driving back to the villa.
