Chapter 21: Angelo
Angelo kept himself busy throughout the day with meetings and deals to be established and concluded. Esther had kept him up to date about Raven. Her and her friend were watching movies and eating snacks.
She was so pure and wholesome.
Innocent girls should be treasured. They love deeply and care deeply for you. They are loyal, honest and true. The simplest things you do for them means the most to them. Their purity of heart and soul makes them who they are.
He should tell her tonight rip the ban aid off and be prepared to lose her. Loose her to keep her safe, but he could not. He was selfish.
He loved her with his whole god dam soul, and if he lost you again, he would raze the whole fucking world to the ground. He would ruin it, just for existing when she didn't.
He sighed and entered his mansion, nodded at the guards as he passed. He walked straight to his office and turned on his laptop. He had no idea what to do yet, how, when or if he should tell her.
He turned on the CCTV on his laptop and viewed the two girls on his sofa in his suite giggling at each other and snacks everywhere.
Knock Knock
Angelo turned to face the door as it opened. Luca and Killian entered. Luca no doubt had filled Killian in on the day's events. Kilian's face was more murderous than usual.
Both men sat opposite him. He regarded them both as his friends and his right and left hand. But this decision he had to make for himself.
"Let's talk business." Angelo announced as he pulled out three tumblers and a bottle of bourbon.
Angelo poured the amber liquid into the three glasses and nudged them across the mahogany desk before sitting with his own in one hand. He had one last glance at Raven before turning to his men.
"As soon as I have enough on Carlos, both he and Ren are dead. Killian keep an eye on Ren in case he runs. I was hoping the bug in his room would give me the rest of the info. There may be more to this than we think." Angelo alleged before downing his shot of bourbon.
Killian a man of few words as he was nodded in agreement.
Lucas sat forward his wary eyes on Angelo, "We will get what we need. What about Raven?"
Angelo's eyes turned to the CCTV, "I can't lose her. But I have to tell her."
Luca nodded in agreement.
"She loves you." Killian's smooth voice added.
Both Angelo and Luca's head snapped in his direction. It was rare when Killian would open up and speak but when he did it was the truth and advice they had always needed.
"I hope she does, I hope it is enough." Angelo responded as he sighed again.
They talked till the sun set and the room dimmed. Only then did Luca leave to be with Elena and Killian disappeared to who knows where. Angelo got up and unbuttoned his shirt two top buttons then his suit jacket.
He left his study and walked to his suite.
As he arrived at his suite a girl opened and closed the door behind her, she looked him up and down sceptically. He allowed her as Ravens only female friend. He stood straight to let her asses him, something he would never usually do.
"Good evening, Angelo." Her smooth voice greeted him.
She was all confidence and curves in her leather outfit. Everyone knew him but how did she know him he wondered. Did Raven tell her or did she hear the rumours.
"Evening Rory." He stood waiting for her to pass.
She approached him and eyed him up once again before speaking, "She has been through enough already. Look after her."
"I will." He declared looking her straight in the eyes, she didn't back down, he liked that.
"Care for her." She demanded.
"Planning on it. "He answered with a smirk.
She eyed him again, "Do that and we won't have any problems." She then slinked off down the staircase.
He laughed, she has balls he had to admit and if he was a normal man, he may have been intimated by her.
He shook his head and opened his suite door, raven smiled warmly welcoming back. She was tidying away the snacks.
Being greeted after a long day, it felt amazing.
"I hope you ate more than this today." He lightly scolded.
She giggled, "Maybe."
"Your friend is… interesting." He didn't know how to phrase it.
Raven giggled again and placed the snacks and wrappers in the bin before coming to him and hugging his strong waist. "She is, that and more. She had one of your guards begging her earlier."
Angelo quirked his brow at that, "Really now?" He asked interested.
"Yep." She pulled Angelo into their bedroom and took off his suit jacket and folded it for him. He enjoyed her care.
He pulled her between his legs as he sat down, and she allowed him to pull her between him.
"Are you going to tell me the rest of the story you started?" He asked, hoping she would open up.
She sighed and backed off from him. She sat on the bed already him her pyjamas and curled up against the bed, he joined her side and pulled her into his arms.
She sighed and held his shirt in her fingers clenching it slightly, he rubbed circles on her back, "Only when you are ready." He added.
"I don't know how much of this I will get through so bear with me. You may have to fill in the blanks I can't say out loud." She said, her voice barely a whisper.
His heart speed up and he already knew heads would roll for whatever happened to her.
"After my parents I hid, I had got into college and started my art classes. I found student lodging with Rory. She didn't ask me questions like the others just sat with me and became my best friend. We walked to classes together ate and came home together it was our routine." She spoke softly and he strained to listen.
