Chapter 28: Enough !
Ozpin: "Was there anything else with you on this island?"
Ayden "No....there was nothing."
Ozpin: "Are you really sure?"
Suddenly the images of when he thought he felt a presence watching him resurfaced in his mind.
Ayden" I ... actually at one point I felt like something was watching me but when I wanted to see what it was I couldn't find anything, like it had disappeared at once ."
Ozpin: Hmmm ..... it seems that forces far more dangerous than I thought are preparing in the shadows and unfortunately we have no information on our enemy ...."
Ozpin rose from his seat and walked to the large window which gave him a full view of the academy.
Ozpin: I don't know what she's up to but sooner or later she'll take action and given the latest events I'm not sure we're ready for what's to come."
Ayden joined him at the window and said something that had been on his mind for a while now.
Ayden: "That shadowy threat you're talking about, are you sure that's the only one doing it, from my perspective it looks like there's not just one person behind it all that ."
For him there was too much things that was different from the original story. A new type of grimm, people capable of transforming themselves into a grimm thanks to a strange substance, far too many elements for him to imagine that salem achieved this result alone, there must surely be someone else with her who pulls the strings but who?
Ozpin remained silent, considering what ayden just said.
Ozpin: ".... Maybe you're right, maybe there's a lot more threat than I imagine but that doesn't change the current situation, we will have to face these dangers if we are ready or not!"
Ozpin and ayden were silent for a moment while gazing at the academy when ayden broke the silence.
Ayden: "Well if we're done I'm going to leave you, I have other things planned.
Ozpin: We're done, but if I was you, I'd take a walk in the yard because one of your friends might need your help.
Ayden looked where ozpin was looking and could see jaune walking with a determined step towards cardin and his team.
Ozpin: "It's amazing how willing this young man is to go to fulfill his dream even though he lied to join my academy."
Ayden: "Wait....you know!"
Ozpin: "I've lived long enough to tell the difference between what people say they are and what they really are."
Ayden glanced at Ozpin then left his office wondering why Ozpin was letting him continue his training even though he knew he had cheated to get into Beacon.

Jaune arrived in front of Cardin and his team with a determined gaze.
Cardin: "Oh hi jauney boy! Hope you did the extra readings that Dr. Oobleck gave us."
Jaune : "No and I wouldn't!"
Cardin: "What was that?"
Jaune: You heard me very well, I wouldn't do your work for you anymore, you can go find yourself another minion elsewhere because I'm finished!"
Cardin: Well, Jaune looks like a pair of balls grew out of you last night! But let me remind you of something, I know your secret and it would be a shame if ozpin knew about it wouldn't it?
Jaune: "I don't care, you can go and tell him it doesn't change anything for me, if I came here it's to take my revenge on you, I'm challenging you to fight Cardin!"
Cardin and his team burst out laughing.
Carcin: "You challenge me in combat? You don't remember what happened the last time we fought?"
Jaune: "I remember very well but this time it's different, unless you're scared of losing against someone who cheated to enter Beacon?"
This remark irritated Cardin who got up and posted himself in front of jaune.
Cardin: "Very good jauney boy, you want a fight you will have a fight, follow us!"
They arrived in the training hall and climbed onto the big arena in the middle.
Cardin and Jaune drew their weapons and took up position on the arena.
Cardin: "I hope you don't regret your choice jaune !"
Jaune : "no chance!"
They ran towards each other and their weapons clashed. The fight was strangely tight, cardin seemed to have a slight advantage but unlike the last time Jaune took his attacks more easily and even managed to dodge them, his training with ayden allowed him to eguise his senses, cardin's blows was clearly slower and less powerful than that of ayden.
Cardin furiously punched against jaune's shield clearly annoyed at not being able to beat him as easily as the last time but jaune could see an opening and shifted to the right dodging Cardin's blow which crashed to the ground and hit him directly in the face with his shield which caused him to recoil, his aura flashing on him after receiving the blow.
Cardin was really pissed off now, he glanced at Russell who nodded.
Cardin rushed towards jaune at full speed, bringing his mace down on him but he blocked it with his shield. Suddenly he saw Russell arriving behind him with his daggers ready to strike him.
Russell: "You're done now!"
???: "Are you sure about that?"
He wanted to bring his daggers down on him but something was holding him back. he turned to see ayden behind him holding his arm.
Russell: "YOU!"
Ayden grabbed Russell by the face and crushed him to the ground creating a crater.
The other two members of the team ran towards him with their weapons drawn but Ayden dodged their attacks like it was nothing and punched one in the chest then spun around to hit the other. with a circular kick in the jaw knocking out the two instantly.
Jaune: "Ayden?!? What are you doing here?"
Ayden: "Me? I was just passing by when I saw you and Cardin coming here to fight, you know me I wouldn't miss the chance to watch a fight!"
Cardin: "Who do you think you are to attack my friends?"
Ayden: "Hmmm you don't remember me well it's true that the last time you ended up with your head in the ground like your friend right here so you probably didn't see me."
Cardin: "It was you!!!"
Ayden: "Yes it was me and as for what am i doing here, I just came to take care of the nuisance so now you can fight without fear of being interrupted." He said while winking at jaune and stepping back to watch the fight.
Jaune nodded to thank him and concentrated on his fight, he knew very well that ayden would not help him if he was in trouble against cardin, it was a fight he had to win by himself.
Cardin was furious that his plan had just failed and rushed towards jaune, blinded by anger. Jaune narrowly dodged and rolled to the side, but barely had time to get up when Cardin hit him and sent him flying across the arena. He could feel the pain going through his body but it was nothing compared to what he had to endure against Ayden, he got up and got back in position, cardin rushed towards him and jaune did the same, cardin raised his mace ready to give the final blow to jaune but jaune did something he wasn't expecting.
Jaune threw his shield straight at Cardin who had to deflect it with his mace making him completely open for Yellow who rushed at full speed and hit him with full force with a swing of his sword along his chest and came up behind him.
There was a second of silence before Cardin's aura broke and he fell to the ground unconscious.
Jaune fell to the ground clearly tired from his fight.
Ayden approached him and offered him his hand to get up, jaune took his hand and got up with difficulty.
Ayden: "You made it jaune."
Jaune: "Haha.....it's thanks to you!"
Ayden: "It's not me who ave defeat cardin but you, it's your victory!"
Jaune: "Ha...thanks man!"
The two boys left the training hall leaving team cdrl unconscious.
Jaune: "Huh...shouldn't we call the nurse for them?"
Ayden: "Nha.... Someone will find them eventually."
Jaune: " Well I guess I don't have long to stay in this academy since cardin might report that I cheated to enter beacon to ozpin..."
Ayden: "I wouldn't worry too much if I were you."
Jaune: "Why is that?"
Ayden: "Don't worry.....and then you beat cardin so you're perfectly capable of staying at beacon!"
A smile appeared on jaune's face.
Jaune: "I guess you're right!"
Ayden accompanied jaune back to the main building and then returned home. It was time for him to drastically increase his strength if he wanted to be ready for what was to come.
