Chapter 35: A sense of deja vu?
Ayden and Weiss walked down the streets of Vale while Ayden rubbed his right cheek where Weiss's hand mark was imprinted.
Ayden: "Jeez, you didn't have to hit that hard!"
Weiss: "Hmphf! That'll teach you! There are things you don't say to a lady!
Ayden: "Lady my ass...."
Weiss: "What was that?"
Ayden: "nothing at all!"
They continued walking when ayden asked.
Ayden: "Well, what are you going to do now?"
Weiss: "I...I don't know, I should probably go back to beacon but..."
Ayden: "look, has ruby or yang tried to call you since you left?"
Weiss: "Currently yes... more than twenty times."
Ayden: "See, it's because they're worried about you, the least you could do is call them and let them know you're okay.
Weiss: "...you're right."
Weiss pulled out his scroll and was about to call Ruby when an explosion from the port where the warehouses are located echoed through town.
Ayden and Weiss turned their heads to see where the explosion was coming from and could see a column of smoke in the distance, they looked at each other and nodded before heading towards the scene of the explosion.

Ruby, yang and penny who were looking for weiss and blake was close to the explosion and came closer to see what was going on. They arrive to see Blake and Sun fight against Roman and a large number of White Fang soldiers.
Ruby: "Watch, it's blake and the faunus boy from yesterday they're fighting roman torchwick and the white fangs."
As soon as she had finish her sentence, yang activated her weapons and jumped into the fight.
Penny came forward too.
Ruby: "Wait penny it's dangerous!"
Penny "Don't worry Ruby, I'm Combat ready!"
Then the bag on her back opened up revealing several blades that seemed to be levitated and then she jumped into battle. Seeing this, Ruby activates Cresent Rose and followed her.

On their side, Ayden and Weiss were approaching the combat zone when they was interrupted by a door of a shed which shattered. They both stopped short to see who had produced such a fuss. A figure emerged from the shed revealing a man of imposing size dressed in white fang armor holding a huge curved sword.
Weiss: "The white fang! I should have known!" she said while drawing her sword.
Ayden: "Hmmm..."
Weiss: "What is it?"
Ayden: "It's just...I kind of have a feeling of deja vu."
Weiss: "Huh?"
It was at this moment that the man took out a syringe containing a black liquid and pricked himself in the arm which held his sword.
Ayden: "That's what I'm talking about."
The man began to squirm in pain, his body parts twisting in ways not designed for human anatomy and his bones creaking loudly. Dark matter began to cover his body and sword, causing it to merge with the rest of his body.
The man had just turned into a grimm of humanoid appearance with a mask of white fang serving as his face, back spikes came out along his back and shoulders, his right arm was transformed into a giant black blade made of bones.
Ayden: "Well that's something!"
Weiss: "Be focused ayden!"
Without warning the man now grimm charged them at full speed that they barely had time to jump back to dodge his blade blow which split the ground in two.
Ayden: "Okay he's definitely faster and more powerful than the last one."
Weis: "I could see that!"
Ayden: "Good... time to take action."
He activated his gloves and charged the grimm followed from behind by weiss. The Grimm pulled his blade out of the ground and tried to hit Ayden who jumped up and kicked his blade back into the ground then landed on one knee in front of the Grimm.
The grimm wanted to hit him with his other arm but weiss arrived and took support on ayden's back to jump and launched a series of sword blows in the face of the grimm.
Ayden took advantage of the grimm being distracted by weiss to kick him in the leg causing him to lose his balance then when the grimm was about to fall right on ayden , he hit him with an uppercut in the jaw and send him flying backwards for several meters.
Ayden looked at his fist and could feel the power rising within him.
Ayden's mind: "Augus was right there is clearly something different in me since our fight, even my aura reserve has increased since the last time when I have not even meditated.
Ayden was pulled out of his thoughts when the grimm stood up and put his jaw back into place with a cracking sound.
Weiss joined Ayden and said.
Weiss: "It looks like he has the regenerative abilities like the other one."
Ayden: "Which means only complete destruction will work, why is that a problem?" he said with a smile on his face.
Weiss looked at him then smiled too.
Weiss: "No....Not at all!"
They resumed their fighting stances and ayden charged towards the grimm while weiss conjured up several ice spikes in front of her with her sword.
Ayden arrived in front of the grimm that attacked him with a lateral blow from his blade but ayden slid under him and activated his gloves in ice mode then touched the grimm's legs freezing them completely preventing him from moving.
Weiss then launched her barrage of ice spikes at the grimm who tried to protect himself as best he could with his blade but several spikes punctured his body.
The grimm managed to free himself from the ice that prevented him from moving but ayden swept him off the ground with his leg and kicked him with a kick in the stomach sending him flying through the air.
Weiss made several glyphs appear in front of her and used them to propel herself into the air and arrived at the grimm then made several other glyphs appear around her and the grimm. She then hit him several times while jumping from one glyph to another.
Ayden took support on the ground and jumped in the air in turn, he grabbed the grimm by the leg and went down while hitting him heavily on the ground then he slammed him several times on the ground creating craters with each blow then threw him through the shed from which he had come out.

On their side the others had almost finished beating all the white fang soldiers and penny had prevented one of the ships from escaping by having it crushed in containers and had destroyed the others.
Ruby and Yang took care of the remaining soldiers while Blake and Sun battled Roman.
Suddenly a loud noise sounded coming from one of the sheds and a large shadow appeared from one of them and crashed heavily on the ground in the middle of them all creating a cloud of smoke.
Yang: "What was that?"
All stopped their fight to see what had just landed, the cloud of smoke ended up dicipating revealing the humanoid grimm seriously hurt on the ground.
Ruby: "Is that...."
Blake: "A Grimm?!?"
Sun: What's a grimm doing in town? "
Roman's mind: "So that's what they look like when they use the syringe....interesting."
That's when ayden and weiss rushed out of the shed and simultaneously attacked the grimm sending it flying a few meters further.
Ruby: "Weiss! Ayden!"
They didn't pay attention to ruby and remained focused on the grimm who was struggling to get up and regenerate after all the blows he had received.
Ayden: "It's time to finish this!"
Weis: "Okay!"
Ayden switched his gloves to fire mode and put his hands straight out in front of him charging a fire sphere.
Weiss turned the barrels of her sword to fire mod and made an amplification glyph appear in front of them.
Ayden activated the kaioken which covered his body but what he didn't notice was that Weiss who was standing right next to him was also covered by the aura of the kaioken.
At that moment weiss could feel an incredible power coursing through her body but quickly refocused on the grimm ready to end it for good.
Both: "HELL FLAMES!!!"
A giant beam of fire spurted out destroying the ground on the way and hit the grimm head-on. the grimm could be seen being consumed by the torrent of flames before being completely disintegrated. The ray of fire continued on its way and disappeared far away in the ocean.
Ayden deactivated the kaioken and looked at the result of their combined attack.
Ayden: " ( whistle ) That's really effective!"
Weiss fell to one knee on the floor.
Ayden: "Hey everything is fine!"
Weiss: I'm fine....I'm just exhausted, after that red thing that was on you came on me too I felt incredible strength but when it left I felt like all my strength was gone. "
Ayden's mind: "Wait...did she use the kaioken! How is that possible, I didn't see anything."
Roman took advantage of the fireworks to escape with a bullhead and the rest of the soldier was defeated by ruby and yang.
Ayden decided to put the kaioken business aside and regroup with the others.
The authorities eventually arrived and secured the area.
The group was reunited after the authorities finished asking them questions about what had happened.
Blake: What was that! "
Weiss: "It was a grimm."
Yang: "We saw that, the thing is why a grimm was in the city!"
Weiss and Ayden looked at each other for a moment, Ayden nodded and Weiss spoke again.
Weiss: "The grimm was in town because before he became a grimm he was a white fang of the group you fought against."
Blake: It's ridiculous, how could he have become a grimm!"
Ayden: "Maybe this will convince you!" he said, throwing at her the half-burnt white fang mask he had picked up after their fight.
Blake looked at the mask with a look of shock on her face.
Blake: "How is this possible...."
Ayden: "It's the second one Weiss and I have fought and he was much stronger than the first one."
Ruby: "Sorry Weiss for not believing you right away, it just seemed so unreal."
Weiss: "Don't worry, I don't blame you, I probably would have reacted the same way if I were you."
Yang: "Yeah but still.... people turning into grimms is not normal!"
Weiss: "Indeed, but we'll deal with it later for the moment someone owes us an explanation!" she said, turning to blake.
Blake explained to them who she really was as well as her past in the white fang.
Blake: "So here's my story..."
Everyone turned to Weiss waiting for her to say something.
Weiss: Well after hearing what you said I decided I didn't care."
Blake: "You don't care?"
Weiss: "What matters is who you are now, not the old you and please next time something this big happens, come see you're teammates and not... someone else ." she said looking at the sun.
Blake: "I promise!"
Ruby: "Yeah team rwby is back together! But where did penny go?"
They looked around but didn't see her anywhere.
Ayden: "Well, since everything seems to be settled, time to go home."
He was about to leave when Weiss held him back by his t-shirt.
Ayden: "Hmmm do you need anything?"
Weiss: "I wanted to thank you for...for everything you've done for me."
Ayden: "bha it's not much, just helping a friend....."
He couldn't finish his sentence when Weiss leaned forward and kissed him, pressing her lips against his.
Ruby: "Oooooohhhhh!"
Blake: "I didn't expect that!"
Yang: "....."
Sun: "Whistle"
Weiss pulled back and Ayden looked at her with a completely surprised look.
Ayden: "I.....didn't expect.....you...."
Yang: "Weiss..."
Weiss: "Hmmm?"
Ayden's mind: "Oh NO!"
Yang: "What do you think you're doing kissing my boyfriend?"
Weiss: "Your boyfriend?"
Ruby: "What?!"
Blake: "What?"
Sun: "Oooooh!"
Ayden's mind: "Oh fuck no!"
Weiss: "Since when is he your boyfriend?"
Yang: "Since we kissed!"
Weiss: "Excuse me!"
Ruby: "What?!?"
Ayden's mind "You know what, fuck this shit i'm out!"
Weiss: "You never told us you were together!"
Yang: "Maybe but that's not a reason to kiss him!"
Weiss: "And how would I have known?"
Yang: "Alright, what do you have to say ayden?.....Ayden?"
Sun: "he's already gone".
Yang: "...."
Weiss: "...."
Both: "What!!!"

Ayden was walking down the streets of Vale towards his home.
Ayden's mind: "I let them decide between themselves, no chance of me taking care of that!"
