Diane dragged her feet out of the building and the receptionist seemed to catch her saddened expression and reacted with a wide smile. "Come again". She snickered as Diane exited the building.

Her steps echoed along the pavement and everything else seemed to have gone silent. Her mind was empty as to her next move.

She couldn't abandon her few belongings as they held too many memories and were what she'd bought while working during the years.
