Chapter 11: The Slave Auction (2) - 10
"Let the auction begin!"
"First up is a wood elf from the western lands."
As soon as he finished saying this, two burly men hauled out a brown skinned elf with tree branches as "horns" on her head, in chains, and dropped her onto the middle of the stage.
I looked closely as I saw her trembling self, her knife-like ears twitching, cutting through her silky hair, as her scared face was only slightly hidden behind her blindfold, sweat glistening on her half naked body as she hugged herself, before the two men pulled on her chains, making her reveal the entirety of her body which was only covered by two loincloths in the important places.
The bidding started, and well, I had no use for her, so I just sat there and waited for the next merchandise.
I watched as exotic girl after exotic girl was brought up to the stage, some beastgirls of different races, some mermaids and lamias, and even some dwarfs for those with that type of fetish.
But, looking at all of them, the discerning eyes that I had inherited from my past life and training never once saw a good enough specimen.
'It seems like Saria will be the only treasure I'll be able to find... sigh...'
But then, I was pleasantly surprised as the two burly men brought out a half demon.
"Everyone! This is a half demon we captured on the border of our country with the Wastelands. The starting bid will be 100 gold coins and bidding increments will be in 10 coins each."
Honestly I was kinda disgusted by how the demon girl was only 6-7 years old, but, it wasn't like I could do anything to change her past, but I was definitely going to be involved in her future.
"..."
"Nobody?"
I guessed that not many people would lower themselves low enough to want to copulate with a demon, even if it was just a half demon.
"How about for 90 gold coins?"
"..."
"80?"
"70?"
"60?"
"50?"
I raised my paddle at this point.
"Number 339 bids 50 gold coins! Does anybody else want to raise?"
"..."
"3, 2, 1, sold to 339!"
They then took the blindfolded child off the stage, and my heart could rest again.
Honestly, I really didn't feel pity for her or anything, as I had faced situations that were completely worse than her's when I was much younger, I was just nervous about losing her in a bidding war.
Because, just from one glance at her, I knew that she would grow up to be powerful.
I'll just call it my battle intuition.
After the half demon girl was taken off the stage, there weren't any other slaves that could be useful to me.
And then, finally, the last item of the auction was going to be sold.
"For our auction's finale this month, we bring you an elusive snow elf from beyond the Garrison of the North! We sacrificed 20 good men just to secure her, so, the price for this piece will be 500 gold coins with increments of 50 gold coins each!"
Immediately, a bidding war started as every young master to fat noble wanted to get their hands on the peerless beauty that had just appeared in front of them.
But, instead of starting to bid right away, I just turned to Char and asked,
"How much money is in my budget?"
"The Lord has given you 5 million gold coins for the entirety of your stay here."
"And with how I'm eating now and my current lifestyle, how much of that will be left after Sis finishes her stay at the academy?"
"I believe it will be about 2 million, young master."
Hearing this, I knew that we'd be able to win Saria.
Turning my attention back to the auction, the action had stagnated, as only two masked men were still bidding.
Without even listening to the values, I raised my paddle and said,
"Raise, half a million."
This shut everyone in the auction hall up.
"500,000 gold coins to 339, does anybody raise?"
"…"
"3, 2, 1, sold to 339 for 500,000 gold coins!"
And, after that, the auction was finished.
Everybody exited the auction hall, and, as for those that had been able to buy something, we all took our carriages around to the back of the auction building.
As my carriage came up, I showed the guard my ticket and I waited, as he went inside before bringing the two girls out.
I took one look at them, confirmed their identities, and then ushered them into the carriage with the help of Char and Gwen.
So now, on one side of the carriage was me and my "family" whilst on the other side, there were the two slaves.
Looking at Saria who was looking at me with defiance apparent on her face, whilst the little demon girl had a look of fear on her face, I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit at their juxtaposed expressions.
"Use the Slaver scrolls on me and then unbind all their restraints."
Hearing this, Char unraveled the two scrolls that the guard had given us when he had handed us the girls, and then used the two scrolls on me.
For a few seconds, a light engulfed myself and the two of them, before it subsided like nothing had happened.
But, now, I could "feel" the existences of two others.
And, with this connection, I could punish them and make them obey my orders.
Of course, I was going to do nothing like that.
I would give them, "choices", and they would definitely follow me afterwards.
Well, as soon as Char took off all their restraints, Saria immediately tried escaping, but, one look from Char made her sit back down.
"Just wait for a second and let me explain, then you can decide whether you want to leave or not."
After saying this, I waited until they both nodded before continuing.
I then explained my entire situation to them, showing them how I hadn't bought them for nefarious reasons, and that I really just needed two more helpers for my castle.
Hearing this, they both immediately accepted, as they could feel the truthfulness in my words due to our connection.
The demon girl accepted as she had nowhere else to go, and she knew that she would be treated well as I was a future demon myself.
On the other hand, Saria accepted, as her entire village had been annihilated by the slave traders, so she had nowhere left to go, and my castle was the perfect place to train to get her revenge.
And this was how I gained two more members into my family in a single day.
