Chapter 2: Chapter 2 - The Ron Dilemma
Well as I mentioned at first was a sunny warm day.A friend of ours named Ron, or we called Slim Ron because he was so skinny.Like the guy looked anorexic, we used to make fun of him for it but he's well made now.Well he's walking in this neighborhood with a little bag full of guns.From .44 magnums to .357s, he had an uncle who just came into a bunch of guns somehow and is trying to sell em.Well Ron's walking to up to a guy we know that'll buy them.He's our little carrier pigeon but don't take his stature for granted.
He knocked on door as our friend Billy answered,
"Alright let me see em …" he says as he hands over the bag.He looks through it to see about a dozen pistols in the bag as he says "alright thanks …."
He slams the door on Ron as Ron is in shock.Ron bangs on the door as he says "hey you Motherfucker pay up !" Billy opened the door again and has one of the guns loaded in Ron's face.
"I think a thanks was good enough, now fuck off ! " he yells as Ron walks away slowly.
"Tell Those boys I said thanks too !" He says jokingly as he slams the door.He made us look like idiots.Ron got back to us to tell us what happened.Me, Danny and Ricky are sitting on foldable chairs in front of Ellie's apartment building as We See Ron running up to us.
"Ron slow down, your gonna die on us running like that …" says Ricky jokingly as we laugh.
"Aye your boy Billy, he didn't pay up, motherfucker ripped me off, ripped us off !" He yells as we're all in shock, I get and say "what do you mean ?"
We all got up now as Ron says "we'll I handed him the bag and he said "thanks" and slammed the door in my face, I banged in the door and he opened it up with a gun to my face man, made me look stupid …." He says as Danny says "where was your gun, you didn't one on you ?" He says angered as Ron says "No not that day, because you fuckers told me he was cool !, he even told me to thank y'all …"
We all look at each other in laughs of anger as I ask "he told you to thank me, he to you that ?" Ron Replies "yea …." I was angered as Danny says "I'll kill him myself, I'll go right now !" He says as I stop "whoa, hold on, we'll get back at him, but not we death…" They all look at me in confusion as Ricky says "how ?" He asks as I simply reply "with humiliation …."
It's a couple days later as we're at a part of the neighborhood that's a bit blocked off, only one in .Billy is walking into our neighborhood as he's passing through to make it to a bar.You have to pass by here to get through faster, so it's an easy trap.As Me and Danny see him walking by we make conversation on the spot, catching him off guard.
"Well fellas, what's going on now huh, your boy Ron tell you my message …" he says as walk along side him now.
"Yea it wasn't so funny billy boy, gimme the money now and we'll forget it happened, alright ?" I ask as he angrily pulls out a .44 magnum.
"You're pushing me around, you got some balls kid-" he says as Danny pulls out a pistol and aims "whoa Danny boy, take it easy, listen just know I warned you alright….have a good day alright…" I say as Danny stops aiming and puts away his gun.Billy stops aiming and walks away as well, on the usual route.
"Yea alright, good you learned some respect around here…" he says as he continues walking.
Me and Danny quickly run around the block as Billy's about to enter our neighborhood.I had Ricky and James wait there with a group of the guys around the neighborhood.They make themselves look like just some regular guys enjoying the day outside as Billy walks by them casually.Me and Danny make it a few blocks from Ricky and the boys.Billy marks it across the street as Marvin confronts him out of nowhere.
"Hey billy boy, so you sure you ain't gonna take Dalton on that offer ?" He asks as Billy pulls out the gun again and shoves Marvin against the apartment building.Ricky and James keep on looking as it's all apart of the plan.
"Listen you fucks, you young bastards dont understand the proper adequate for your elders do ya ? " he says as Marvin says calmly
"Now billy boy why kill me huh ?" He says he shoves Billy.Billy still aims as Marvin's walks up to him.The whole neighborhoods watching him all around, even us.
"How you know he won't kill him ?" Ask Danny I reply "because Billy's a coward…"
Marvin still walks up as Billy backs away still aiming,
"Back up you dumb fuck I'll blow your head off !" He yells as Marvin makes fun of him
"You old fuck, you would've done it already, I bet back in the day you was a somebody's kiss ass, never got respect…" he says as now they're both in the street, getting a bit closer to Ricky and James.
"I bet you were pushed around m, you were a joke to them huh ?" He asks as Billy angrily says
"Fuck you !" He yells as a car is driving by in the street, nearly hitting the two.This distracts Billy as Marvin disarms him, he drops his gun as now he drops billy to the ground.This is the signal now for Ricky and James, they run up to Marvin and start to beat on Billy.The neighborhood gets a price as they throw around the street, as the kids around the neighborhood beat on him too.They passes him and shoved him around until he ended up down to where me and Danny were.People we're laughing and chanting bullshit as people in there windows threw bottles at him.
"Ah Christ !" He exclaimed as me and Danny got ahold of him.
"I warned you Batty boy …." I said to him as we dragged into the parking lot of the Apartment building.It's now just me, Danny and Marvin as the kids just go back to there routine of living.
"We killing him ?" Asks Danny as he begs
"No god don't, please I got the money."
We ignore him as I say "I don't know yet…."
He starts to crawl to us as he's on his knees begging to me.
"Please Dalton, I got the money, how much ? Cmon gimme a number ?" He says I'm angered now, "god you got blood on my shoes you miserable fuck…." I say as I shoved him to the ground.Marvin goes up to him and starts to kick in him as Danny joins in.
"Alright relax …..l say as they leave him be and back away.
"We want twenty thousand….you got two months…." I say as We walk away and leave him there to lay in his own misery, he's laying on the floor crying and bleeding.
Now you gotta see how embarrassed and angered he feel that a bunch of 17-18 year olds just beat him senseless, excluding Marvin.You see for us, school was over and we had nothing to do in life.Well that's due to our own ignorance but maybe if school was more productive and interesting we would've tried.Those two months flew by fast into February as Ron's knocking at Ellies door.We're all at Ellies home watching movies again as Ellie goes to let Ron in.
"There he is, let's see it !" Says Marvin as Ron passes us a briefcase.Marvin puts it on the bed as Ellie locks the door to his room.We finally see it, all in 20 dollar bills.
"You count it right ?" I ask as Ron says "yep, all there Dalton…." We all feel joy as I say "alright Ron take your Five grand and go home alright ? I don't want your mom worried for you now !" I say jokingly as Ron gets in to get his cut.They all laughed as Ron replied "Man I'm only a couple years younger …" they still laugh.Ellie has " Raging Bull " playing in the background as only James and Ricky are watching.The rest of us are on the money, Ron puts his cut in a bag he brought as he walks out and gives his farewell.
As he leaves we give a minute until we hear Ellie's front door open and close, showing that he's gone.We hear it and Marvin says "alright good, so boys we have fifteen thousand right here plus around twenty thousand from the other deals Ron had done for us…" he says as Danny remarks
"Well shit Ellie's gonna charge us one day for coming here I swear to you ..hehe…" he says as they laugh.
"Alright calm down, look we have a good amount but we could be getting more….by March we'll be in our next phase of making money, as we've agreed we don't deal in the drug dealing…if any of you do that, you're out of the club, done with this type of business we do, you'll be a nobody to us ." He says as i pander to the room as they all nod.
"Well Ron's old news for us now, he's gotta good money and his uncles alright, plus ever since beating into billy boy we've got our names out there, don't fuck with the 19 club …" he says as they cheer.
"Fucking aye I would've killed the Motherfucker" says Ricky as they laugh.
"Christ you should've seen him, begging like a cunt …" says Danny as they laugh more.
"Marv you saw him right, fucking crying saying "please don't kill me " Christ he got blood on your shoes Dalton …..so we kicked in some more …." He says as they focus on Danny's story.
See for me I do love these guys a lot but we gotta puts humor first for once.Hell were still young, we just barely finished high school.
"Well anyways Dalton gets all serious like he's John Wayne or something saying "twenty thousand, two months pilgrim …" says Danny in a John Wayne impression, they all laughed until Marvin takes over the room.
"Alright hold Danny, so anyways look imma have some of guys around the neighborhood to see if they wanna cash in this, work with us to expand our little business….instead of doing these little deals, we could just sit back and have em do the work…." He says ad well feel intrigued.
"Sounds good right ?" He asks as we all one by one agree.
"Well we start in March is gonna be hectic…."
Says Marvin as he takes a shot of whiskey.
