Chapter 3: New Mansion
Alex kept glancing at Mia, she was facing the window and obviouslystill crying "why are you crying?, sorry if I was harsh I was only try to crack a joke" she nodded approvingly. The three hour journey took place in silence, he was shocked that she didn't even doze off rather fall asleep. They reached their destination with the same silence they began with "We're here" Alex broke the silence "Ooh" she subconsciously said.
Silence welcomed them into the mansion "The maids and butler will arrive tomorrow, so we'll have to prepare dinner ourselves" "I'll pass" she climbed the stairs 'there were only two rooms up, the rest would be down' she thought as she entered the smaller one, yep it was her.
She dropped her black backpack on the bed. Those words he said brought out all the memories she thought she had buried. She felt extremely miserable and she needed to drown her sorrows. The first thing that came to her mind was alcohol. "Yeah, I'll go look for it when he's asleep, every house has its own secret bar somewhere".
***Later that evening***
Alex made dinner and took it up to Mia's room.
*knock knock*
He opened the door and found her sleeping and whispered "I'm sorry" before leaving the room silently closing the door. "Fool, he thinks I'm sleeping, I'll set out at 9" she said to herself. ' I hope it'll drown my misery away'
