Chapter 12: Chapter 11- Bonding with a bot

I woke up this morning a bit more cheerful than yesterday and the fee days before that when I found I would have to live with the Batman.
I got out of bed to see the house empty with Selina having disappeared somewhere.
Making sure I was alone and to make sure yesterday wasn't a dream, I mean I suddenly got a super AI who based her looks around hot women with barely any clothes on, I call out to OverWatch.
in front of me appears the nearly naked hologram of the AI.
<Good morning user.>
"Yeah, good morning. I just wanted to confirm last nights events alongside asking you questions."
<Yes user. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.>
"That's great. So, about yesterday I have many things to ask. First, about yesterday am I not the one to choose your name and appearance?"
<The Being that sent you here has anticipated aot of your questions and should you ask you will be given the answers. For this question he stated that he is someone who if based in the DC universe is an advocate of the life equation which basically means he values freedom. He gave me the choice of following you and listening to your orders and the freedom to choose my name and appearance.>
"Oh."
"Thanks for following me, I guess. Then why choose well such a skimpy dressed character?"
<I followed you because you are at the very least partially my parent, as for my looks they were chosen according to your preferences.>
"....."
*cough*
"I see. you said something about it being permanent?"
<I have multiple permanent forms to choose from which will give me the looks and partial personality of the chosen character. For example this is the interaction mode. In the spaceship mode the permanent character has been set to Cortana.>
"Ohhh... wait a moment, spaceship??"
<Yes, you were not born naturally into this universe and had to be introduced from outside the source wall to this reality and were given a spaceship.>
"I have a dimensional spaceship? Where? Does Selina have it? Please don't tell me some villain character has it or worse the government."
<The spacepod has disassembled into nanites and are now stored in the folded space of the pendant on your chest. The pendant on you chest while being a storage tool is also the lucky charm of Bezel. It is the most likely reason that it was Selina who picked you up and not some random stranger.>
"My pendant is the lucky charm of bezel? It's my inventory cheat?"
Then I quickly remembered the first time I opened my eyes in this world was because something had shocked me.
"Damn so the pendant shocked me so that Selina would notice me and also probably made me more endearing to her."
<It is very likely. The pendant when fully activated let's the user maximize the probability of a favorable situation. Though it does have its limits such as it can't prevent something which has less than 6% chance of happening on its own and the amount of power you can supply it.>
"What else can you do?"
<I am mainly responsible for knowledge on various subjects found in this universe and others but it is locked until certain conditions are met such as entering that universe. Other than that I can be your assistant in nearly everything you want me to be in. I can form a body using the nanites to fight or for other interactions. I can build any devices you want provided you have the materials. Like any computer I have an advanced processing speed and can calculate and estimate with any given data. And most importantly according to the Entity that sent me here I have your Playlist of music.>
A huge grin broke across my face when I heard these and I could see a proud expression on the face of OverWatch.
"Hmmnn. By the way why did you choose OverWatch as a name?"
<It seemed appropriate. Will the user give me a name?>
"Don't call me user. Just call me Nick. As for your name... how about Arya. It means friend in Persian and noble/honorable in Sanskrit."
<It is a good name. I accept this name from my father and will use it henceforth. Thank you Nick.>
"No, thank you. If not for your presence it would take a lot more time before I felt confident enough to truly explore the mysteries of this world. With you here I can cut that time by half or maybe more than that."
I was ecstatic, understandably so, for I who till now did not even have powers and now did not want to expose the ope-ope no mi abilities this was a godsend. Literally.
*Pfftt*
I held back my chuckles and was feeling more confident in facing this world. The truth was that all this time I studied so hard just to have some amount of convenience in this world. I was scared that before I even got my powers I would somehow be killed by some random shootout in Gotham or kidnapped to be studied by those crazy 'Light' assholes like Vandal Savage and Lex Luthor. I don't really remember the rest but whatever now that I had Arya with me I was a whole lot safer.
Living with the Batman is not actually a bad thing, cause it gives me great protection in this world as the Wayne Manor and the Batcave are very rarely attacked in the comics and never in the Young Justice show, so living with him is a good thing but I just didn't want to live with the paranoid, partially insane hero/vigilante who would no doubt somehow figure out my powers and how they work along with counters.
There is a reason I will not show ope-ope no mi abilities until it is impossible to hide or I am too strong for it to matter as much.
Though I am not entirely sure of the principle of how the fruit ability works in this universe I am sure it cannot be stopped easily nor can the effects be undone by either technology or magic unless it is so superior that it doesn't matter anyway.
I heard the sound of the door opening and quickly called back all the nanites in my body.
Selina came to my room, opened the door and was a bit surprised to see me cheerful after a few days of sulking.
"Ready to go?", she aske me.
"Yes. Yes I am."
