Chapter 10: MISUNDERSTANDINGS
'My aunt says we should say a happy goodbye to who is gone to the graveyard. So I am here to say happy goodbye with roses. My aunt looks like you. She smells like you. She makes cookies as you made for me. I miss you sometimes when my aunt is not with me for long days. I planted a flower here. You will get fragrance in your home. I feel the same when I lie on her lap. Whenever you want to come back. You are welcome. I will be happy to see you and aunt together at home.' little Lucas was talking to Olivia's grave in desperation for the affection and love of his mother.
He came to the graveyard with Ava and the guards. Sophia planned to get rid of Ava and Lucas on the point she got. Leonardo didn't go with Ava and Lucas to the graveyard as he had some work in the office. He dropped them near the graveyard and left for the office. Sophia called her agent to hide and kill Ava and Lucas and throw them in the jungle site. Leonardo's guards were waiting outside the graveyard for Ava and Lucas. While Lucas was talking to the grave Ava felt that a man was chasing her from the netblocks of the graveyard. She quickly held the hand of Lucas.
My dear. Do you trust me? Ava asked. Lucas nodded his head. Be silent we are going from another way to the mansion by playing a game.
Aunt, will we get uncle again? And you will disappear for a week to work out in another city? Lucas asked with fear that he would be going to lose his aunt.
No, my dear. I will inform your uncle. But this time we will leave the site immediately. Ava said and ran in the opposite direction gate of the graveyard.
Leonardo left the office and went to the mansion. While he entered the lounge he looked around the mansion was looking strangely silent
I hope they reached safely. Leonardo asked Watson.
No sir! They have not returned yet. I hope they will be back soon. Watson said
It's been four hours!! Leonardo said anxiously and dialed a call.
Sir, both are not in the graveyard. Voice came
How this can happen in your presence? You will find out and bring that girl right away. Wherever she hid herself and my nephew. Find out and bring her to me immediately. If you will not find out both of them I will kill you one by one. Leonardo shouted at the guards. He was getting as hyper as he had a fear to lose Lucas because of Ava. He reminded himself of what Ava told him the previous day. He was feeling that Ava is loudly talking to him

These sentences were sounding in his ears with echo. Leonardo picked the vase from the table and cracked it on the ground.
This girl kidnapped my nephew again. Leonardo said.
Emma and Sophia were looking at him with happiness from upstairs.
What happened brother? Why are you so angry? Sophia quickly came downstairs and asked with sympathy.
'She kidnapped Lucas' Leonardo shouted

Guards failed to find Ava as she left her phone at the mansion. They all came to the mansion to report Leonardo.

We didn't understand. Jackson said. Leonardo hit his forehead with a pistol.
Get the hell out of here. Otherwise, I will shoot you all!! Leonardo said in anger and quickly sat in the car and left the mansion. As he went outside the gate. A taxi stopped in front of him. Ava and Lucas came outside the taxi. Leonardo looked at Ava with flame-extracting eyes. And reverse the car quickly into the mansion. Ava came inside.
Mr. Rosa, take Lucas to his room. Girl, you go to my study room I have to talk to you. Leonardo said
Ava trembled with his voice for a moment and went into his room.
Girl! Why are you testing my patience? Do you want to die? What have you done? Leonardo entered the room and shouted at Ava. He step forward towards her and held his arm tightly where she have wound. it was not fully healed yet.
You are hurting me!! Ava shouted
You may get die either. You took Lucas from the mansion to let him meet his mother's grave. But you ran away!! Didn't you frightened that I will catch you in any way? Or you came back to the mansion over this fear? You would have rotten in basement store. I would have not brought you to the mansion. Leonardo shouted. He was not known at that time that he was holding her unrecovered arm.
Ava managed to escape herself from his grip
You are right I ran away! Just because I found a strange man was chasing us. Probably he was there to harm Lucas straight away to your acts of revenge. I took Lucas in confidence to escape from there. When I left the graveyard that strange man started following us. I couldn't notify you because I forgot my phone at home. Ava cried.
Are you also out of your senses? Leonardo taunted
Take my bag and check it carefully. You may get it. Ava opened the bag and hold it upward all stuff fall down. Leonardo looked into her eyes.
I didn't stay here to kidnap my Lucas from this mansion as your enemies and you try to do so. But I am here. Because one day you will give me Lucas with your own hands. You are a man of the dark world. Who has nothing to do with others except to threaten them with your weapons? One day you will say to yourself that Lucas's aunt is a good protector of him. Ava said
Girl, don't exceed. You are just living here because of Lucas. Otherwise, you have died in that store. Leonardo went into his dressing room and shut the door so tightly. For a moment Ava felt it was an earthquake. She quickly went into her room and burst into tears. She was thinking 'how Leonardo can be so ruthless that he didn't notice my wound is not healed yet. Though stitches got opened a day before'
So you will finish your food! Mrs. Rosa said
I will finish. Are my aunt and uncle angry with each other? Lucas asked
Not really my little king. Mrs. Rosa said. Meanwhile, Leonardo entered. He nodded to Mrs. Rosa to wait for a while outside his room
So where did you go after the graveyard? Leonardo asked
We went to play. Lucas said
What did you play? Leonardo emphasized
My aunt said we will run to the site until we get a taxi. So we will see who breathes so hard. Then we will go home. Lucas told truth
Like this! Good, my beetroot. Enjoy your meal. I will send Mrs. Rosa to help you. Leonardo said and went outside.
It seems like the girl didn't kidnap my nephew. Find out what happened at the graveyard. Leonardo said to Frank.
I already checked the security cameras. There were other men in the graveyard. Ms. Ava noticed him and behaved wisely. She fled into the forest and lost her tracks for that man. If Ava were not there Lucas would have been in that man's hand.

May I come inside? Sophia knocked on the door

We didn't talk for rest of the day. What happened to you at the graveyard? Why did you come so late my dear without guards? Sophia pretended nicer to her just to get the actual reason.
I got into a trap of enemies of Lucas's uncle. I thought I will keep him away from the dark world he is having. So I quickly ran out of those people. So Lucas may not get harmed. I came to the mansion because I know the safest place for Lucas is his uncle only. Ava said. While Sophia was shocked by the way Ava described Leonardo's personality for Lucas's protection.
The area is clean Leonardo. A man said
We will wait for them here. Leonardo said.
A pair of pickups came and stopped in front of Leonardo.
I wish we can meet in a better place. This is not bad either. I hope we will tender the bid. A man came out of the car and said to Leonardo.
The way you are trying to harm me is not fair. You kicked my family. Now you are targeting my nephew Leonardo said with aggression.

Leonardo got hyper. Meanwhile, a man from the Mandela gang stabbed his pectoral with a knife. Leonardo turn around he saw the driver was not there and the man was standing on his backside. Leonardo kicked his head on the wall. The man got unconscious and fall down. Leonardo managed to take out the knife. He sat in the car and went to the mansion with aggression. The sky was dark when Leonardo entered the mansion. Ava was coming out of Lucas's room she looked at Leonardo. She saw that there were blood stains on his hand and his face was sweaty. She didn't show him that she noticed. Leonardo looked at Ava for a moment and went into his room. Ava gathered her courage to talk to Leonardo about what happened. She went into his room. Leonardo was trying to take off his coat.
Are you injured? Ava stepped forward towards him
No. Leonardo said with anger.
I just saw blood. Ava came closer and said.
Don't you understand girl? I said no. Leonardo loudly said.
Ava noticed that blood droplets were coming out straight from his arm.
She shouted 'Watson'.
Shush!! As she shouted Leonardo quickly put his hand on her mouth.
I will help you or I will call any servant to help you. Ava removed his hand with a jerk and said with confidence.
Alright! Leonardo said and tried to calm his mood.
We should go to the doctor. Ava said
There is no need for a doctor. Leonardo replied
But bullet? Ava emphasized with fear to see bleeding.
It's not a gunshot. It is wounded by a knife. Leonardo replied
The wound is looking so deep. You may get an infection. Ava said
No one should know about this incident. Do you understand? Leonardo said
You need help. It may get worse. Ava said anxiously
I don't need anyone's help. I can do it by myself. I don't want your help either. Get out of my room now. Leonardo said rudely.
Ava shivered for a moment and went outside
Leonardo looked at her. While she was going. He sat on the couch.
Ava encouraged herself as her kind and caring behavior was not allowing her to leave Leonardo in the needy moment. She went into the kitchen and made herbal tea for him. She took the first aid box from her room and went into Leonardo's room while he was trying to take off his shirt.
Girl! Why you don't understand me? Leave my room. Leonardo shouted at Ava
I will not leave you without bandaging your wound. Let me help you as you help me when I was hurt. You took care of me, now I will take care of you. Ava said confidently and step forward towards him. For a while, Leonardo looked at her. Then he again sat on the couch as he got agree to be helped. Ava gave him a tissue box and nodded her head to clean the sweat from his face.
I don't want to be in debt to anyone. Especially for you!! Never!! Ava said rudely.
Leonardo looked at Ava with a strange face. Ava took alcohol pads to clean his wound. After cleaning his wound she put an antiseptic solution on a little cotton pad and put it on his wound. She put bandage tape over the pectoral.
Ava gave pour herbal tea into the cup from a thermos. Take this tea. It's good for pain. You will feel better. Ava filled the injection with liquid. Leonardo looked at the injection.
What you are going to do girl? Leonardo asked
This is just an antibiotic. It will also help to reduce your pain. I will inoculate your bicep muscle. Don't worry I will not kill you. Ava raised her eyebrows and said with a tough tone.
It's not necessary. Leonardo said
Mr. Francis told me that it is necessary for recovery. I will not leave your room until you get this. Ava again raised her tone.
Leonardo was feeling helpless in front of the stubborn girl. Just to get rid of her that time she raised his arm.
She inoculated the injection and raised his shirt towards his arms.

I will dress you again in the morning. Ava said and put the first aid box in the dressing room of Leonardo. Then she picked the tray and thermos she put on the side table of his bed and went into her room. Leonardo looked at Ava.
How this girl can be normal to me while I insulted her during the day? Leonardo was thinking about Ava's behavior. He took the cup and finished the tea in a second. For a while, he felt good. he pour the rest of the tea into the cup and drank it all. Leonardo was again having a strange feeling in his mind. He laid on his bed. Switch off the lamp and fell asleep.
