Chapter 3: Meeting His Bride

FIVE DAYS LATER

Dylan was a man of his words. The only person who likely could stop him was Calvary but he hardly did.

The whole public especially June's family were thrown into shock as the news of his wedding hit town.

He strictly restricted a lot of people from attending, this included June's family.

The servants had to work extra to prepare the wedding to his taste.

The vehicle got ready for the church wedding. He stepped out in a bright blue suit.

Glen graced the little groom, he rode to the church in the same car as Dylan.

Dylan reached the church and met his wife for the first time. She had an innocent look, an oval face with a nice button nose, agate eyes, brown frizzy hair and average height.

He was surprised she looked so beautiful. He expected to meet a haggard downcasted girl.

Anyways, he wasn't interested in her looks, if he was so curious about what she looked like, he would have visited her in the basement where she stayed since she arrived the castle.

The priest pronounced them husband and wife.

When he asked them to share their first kiss, he didn't hesitate, he harshly dragged her in and ferociously kissed her strength out.

Everyone was murmuring, his bride could hardly breath but he continued until he had satisfied himself.

When he let her out, she struggled for breathe, everyone was watching, he didn't look at them once, his grandfather had taken a seat in shock. Calvary knew what Dylan could do. This girl whose name everyone just learnt to be Anissa would have to live with a man almost as deadly as the devil.

From the church, Glen, Anissa and Dylan left for the hotel where the party continues.

As the car drove off, he looked at her and saw that she was shaking in fear. She maintained her far distance, cringing and almost weeping. He nodded satisfyingly, that was exactly what he wanted to see every time he looked at his woman, fear and terror.

"How old are you?" He initiated a conversation with her.

She looked at him with her glassy eyes, he frowned harshly. She seems to understand that he hated to be watched closely so she quickly looked away, bowing her head.

"Twenty years"

Dylan shook his head, looking out at the gigantic buildings by the roadside.

"Such an unfortunate kid" He thought.

They arrived the hotel.

She struggled to walk behind him as her gown was so heavy and long. The heels they made her wear wasn't helping matters, it was her first time in one.

Glen held Dylan's neck tightly.

Elizabeth and her kids were the first people Dylan spotted as he reached inside the hotel.

Kate was whispering something bad to her mom, from the look on their faces, he could tell it was a very bad gossip about him.

Cole came forward and tapped Dylan playfully. "You are close to being a dad. You would have your kids and won't have to carry Glen all around the place anymore, congratulations"

Glen squeezed in sadness. There would come a time when other kids takes his uncle from him?

"Uncle Dylan…" Glen's words were conveyed by his expressions. Dylan understood him perfectly.

"Never mind. Your other uncle is a drunkard" Dylan consoled, walking out on Cole without a response.

Dylan looked at the hall.

He was expecting only thirty couples to grace the wedding, a few had arrived, he didn't pray the others to arrive, not like he needed them to be officially married or something, it was just for the sake of respect and acknowledgment.

Anissa walked into the room sluggishly. All eyes were on her. Nobody cheered or clapped. Even though Anissa was pretty, it was glaring that she was a piece of nothing. She smelt low-class, her poise and gait said it all.

She lowered her head in terror. She didn't understand or know these people. All she knew was that they had money and influence. All eyes were on her, not because she was pretty but because she was the bride. Many might be wondering how she got married to this powerful billionaire, she was wondering the same too. She prayed for the earth to swallow her up so that all this uncomfortable stares would be over.

She stopped walking when her eyes fell on a fine shoe right in front of her. She raised her head and saw her groom.

"Hold my hand" He said with a clear authoritative voice.

She needed that support, badly.

She didn't bother to think about her options, she immediately held the hand he put out and slowly walked by his side.

She almost regret her decision when she could feel him heat out danger and horror. His hand wasn't friendly, she felt her palm burn against his.

If young Anissa didn't understand anything, she understood that her groom was going to be deadly, more deadly than her wicked aunt who sold her out.
