*Alarm buzzing* Like always I sighed as a memory of last night... The dreadful memory flashes into my mind. It's not Ash who's bothering me but it's James. I saw him... The look... The bloody look in his eyes. It always reminds me of Beren and how she got killed... Brutally. I took a deep breath while my eyes shut and let it out.
After taking a long warm shower which is so relaxing of course I got myself ready as I headed to school. My mood is seriously off and I'm not in a mood to talk to anyone. Even though my mood is off but the way Drake protected me last night was so sweet. He saved me and I should thank him. The first period is absolutely free today so I decided to visit our library. It's such a relaxing place… really.
So peaceful and comfortable it's pretty amazing for those who actually love to read books especially related to fantasy or whatever. I sighed as I grabbed a book and settled myself in a peaceful sitting area.
"Hey!" I heard as I looked up to see him. I smiled back "hey!"
Drake sat next to me as he glanced at me, "You okay?" He asked and honestly I don't even know what to say.
"I'm fine, don't worry," I said but he didn't look convinced maybe he knows I'm not ok.
"Hey, you know what? I'm sure Ash is jealous of you but I have a feeling that I think or maybe you are jealous too."
I froze for a second, "Wait, what?"
I chuckled, "What on earth do you possibly think that I'm jealous of you or her?"
"Well, I saw you whenever Ash tried to get closer to me. You get jealous and trust me. I'm not blaming you for anything because I know that I'm so hot, sexy, attractive, and perfect."
I started laughing. "Why are you laughing, baby girl?" He asked.
"Drake, I'm not blaming you that you are living in a dream of…. self-loving. And the answer to your question is no I'm not jealous and why would I? I'm not mad like Ash."
He arched an eyebrow, "hmm, say whatever you wanna say but I know that you do like me a lot, and seeing Ash around me drives you so crazy."
I smirked and had nothing to say. "Why are you here anyway? As far as I know, you hate every single place related to books."
"I... I was searching for you. Everywhere. The classrooms, gym, musical class, and then here."
"Why?" I asked softly.
"It's because I was worried for you, after everything that happened last night. I… I just wanted to see you. That's all."
I understand his voice… I know he's worried about me. He likes me somehow and me too. I like him but I don't think we have a future together. After a little conversation he headed outside to attend his class and I started reading my book.
Chris told me that Andrew and she have some alone time together. Andrew planned for her. That couple is seriously so beautiful and sweet. The perfect couple which I adore the most.
God! I almost forget that the one biggest event is coming…. actually two. First is the fire lantern event which is coming up this Saturday, one day left and the other one is submitting my biology assignment.
I gasp! Softly. I wonder if Drake might be right about me. I am a kid but it's not all the time. My gaze drifted from my book to a boy named Cody. He's my class fellow. He's already staring at me with a soft smile.
He's cute but still confused about why he's looking at me. Maybe it's because I'm cute.
Anyway, I smiled back as I focused on my book again. It's kind of not normal that he's staring at me after every minute.
Maybe I should ask him? No, I paused myself… Don't do anything Rose. If he's staring you let him but don't do anything until it becomes necessary.
Drake
Walking alone about confirming that baby pink girl with lots of attraction is fine felt so relaxing. I was about to enter my class. Our class. Our school headmaster knocked me out by calling my name.
"Mr. Snow!" I turned around with a pout face. "Yes," I said.
"We need to talk about something very important. At my office." He said that as he went to his office and I followed him. I'm still wondering what exactly he wants to talk about.
I literally have no idea why Mr. McAllister invited me. I just followed him into his office. He turned his face to look at me. "Mr. Snow, I want to talk to you about your fight... With ghoulies. What was that? You and they fought in the swimming pool in front of everyone and that behavior is not acceptable." I sighed.
"I didn't mean to do that but they started. They were fighting with my brother and I was just rescuing him."
"By almost killing him, is that what you called rescuing your brother? You nearly killed him that day." Mr. McAllister said by cutting me off.
My anger is at its peak and I'm feeling a burning sensation already inside myself. I'm not feeling guilty about what I did that day. I can kill everyone... Every single thing just to protect my family.
"Mr. Snow I'm talking to you."
"I know that you are talking to me but he tried to kill my brother first and I can't just watch him dying so I defend him and I'm not feeling guilty to save my brother. I think you should talk to those ghoulies who started that fight instead of me."
I saw a look on his face, unpredictable and annoying. He smirked, "I suspended them and I think it's your time."
"So, you think it's my fault that I saved my brother and fought for our defense?" I asked but he didn't say a single word and that drives me crazy. I clenched my hands into a fist, I swear I wanted to punch him in his face but I can't so I used a very simple trick which is... I hypnotized him and made him forget about everything. The fight of course.
He was looking at me confusingly and I smirked. I was about to leave that place but then I saw a bunch of files on his table. I paused myself when I saw Rose's picture in a file. I took a step towards that file as I grabbed it. Seeing her picture, name, and then... Her father's name. After seeing her dad's name and face it's like my heart is about to burst, my blood is boiling and my head is buzzing.
"What the hell?" I can't believe it, I seriously can't. From the very first day, she acted innocent. She helped us... It was all an act. She betrayed us. She... I breathe heavily as my eyes turn glowing red. I took that file as I burst out of the office and headed straight to the library.
Only thing... The only thing that I'm dying to do is to kill Rosetta Lodge. Nobody can't save her from me... Nobody can't.
I saw her reading the stupid book I grabbed her arm tightly as she looks at me stunned. "What happened?" She asked me as I tightened my hand grip a little bit more.
"Drake?" I forced her to come with me to our school's store room.
It's the place where nobody comes. She looked at me confused, she didn't say anything. It's like she's waiting for me to talk and I'm in a mood to kill her.
"You betrayed us!"
"Wha… What?" She mumbled.
I inhaled deeply. "I'm meaner than my demons, don't lie to me."
"Drake! I really don't know what you're saying?"
I let out a dry laugh, "Such a player you are Rosetta. You played very well, you make me a fool... Really?"
She shook her head, "No. I don't know what you're talking about?"
She's still lying, it's all my fault. I'm looking at her and she kept lying to me that she didn't know anything.
"What's your dad's name?" I asked with so much anger and darkness in my voice.
She took a minute and then "Lodge." I arched my eyebrows, "Full name?"
"Why are you asking me?" she asked as I raised my voice "Tell me his name?"
"Walker Lodge!" She said as I clenched my hands into fists.
"Why do you want to know his name, Drake?"
"Because your dad killed my parents." Her eyes widened.
"What? That's... That's impossible. It must be a misunderstanding, he can't—"
"I can't believe it; you are still lying to me," I said.
"Drake, I'm not lying. I really don't know about it."
I took a step toward her as I showed her the file. "Then what the hell is this?" I asked with temptation.
She looked a bit faded as she looked at me with those damn sapphire eyes.
"I know nothing." She said softly, I called her a baby but she's a traitor. A big traitor.
"Don't fucking lie to me!" I shouted as I punched very hard at the locker. She was scared, tears filled her eyes but she refused to let them out.
I was asking and I don't know from where a peon called us from behind. "Kids, you two need to get out of here. Right now."
I turned around to look at him as Rose quickly left that place. I shouted her name but she's gone but not my revenge.
I sighed as I squeezed my eyes shut.
"My only love sprung from my only pain."
The day flies like a second as I found myself in bed. I told Andrew and Chris and their faces were blank and shocked. It's obvious.
Only my alarm ringing reminds me it's the morning... Again.
I'm feeling so tired maybe it's because I didn't sleep last night. After taking a quick shower I went downstairs and met Andrew and Chris.
I grabbed my bag pack and headed out for school without breakfast.
"Drake! Drake! Wait."
I turned around to listen.
"Where are you going?" Andrew asked.
"School! Obviously." I replied. He smiled, "it's Saturday."
Damn, I forgot that. I think my brain is not working well that's why. The fire lantern event is also coming up tonight. I forgot everything.
I went inside with Andrew and then to bed. Chris didn't say a single word when I told her the truth. She gets hurt after knowing that but Andrew... He kept denying it. He said it must be some sort of misunderstanding or something but she can't betray us. My trust from everyone except my siblings is gone forever.
It was my mistake that I let her into my life. Ash was right. We told Rose everything about us, our biggest truth. I'm angry at myself more than her.
It's night already, Chris and Andrew are waiting for me downstairs. I got myself ready quickly as I joined them and then we headed straight to the event.
It's so cold here and such a crowded place. Golden bright lights are around me, everything seems so bright. I saw random couples from my school decorating their fire lanterns. It's not only a fire lantern event but also a food festival. I squeezed my eyes shut as I clenched my hands into fists. The sensation... The same powerful sensation I'm feeling right now. It's like something... There's something that tickles my heart continuously. I opened my eyes slowly. She's here, I sighed heavily. I'm not gonna let her survive. I'm gonna kill her.
I looked around but I couldn't find her. Then again that strong sensation and.....
*Crying* I heard her crying. Where is she? I asked myself as I shut my eyes again to understand where she is.
"Why me? I never asked anything from you only my best friend Beren and you snatched her from me. Then James almost destroyed my life and then Mr. Walker with his deep dark secrets. What was my fault? What is it?"
I opened my eyes after hearing her. I looked to my right side and I found her, sitting on a bench staring at the sky in a white and golden dress with this dark red hair.
"Drake, don't listen to her. She already made you fool once, don't make that mistake ever again." My voice is just a whisper that only I can hear.
I sighed as I walked toward her. My anger is more than my frustrations.
"You really think that you can run from me?" I asked with a dark voice. She slowly turned around to look at me. "I don't need to run because my God and I know that I'm innocent," I smirked. "You think there is a God!"
She nodded softly.
I got myself closer to her as I grabbed her hand forcefully hard. "Let's see how your God can protect you from me?" It was my last wording as I forced her to follow me inside the school where nobody is there.
"Drake stops it! You are hurting me."
I stopped myself as I turned around with my glowing red eyes, "Your dad was a reason behind my parent's murder, I'm a devil and I don't know what mercy means."
She muted herself as I again forced her to follow me by her hand. We are in the empty big room as I pinned her on a wall while grabbing her arms. Now she can't escape from me. Nobody now can save her from me.
"Daughter of a murderer! Would you like to tell me who the hell are you exactly? Another murderer, is an agent of W.B.D or Mystic's worker. Tell me who are you?" I asked her but she didn't say anything except stare at me with her hypnotic sapphire eyes.
"I'm none!" She said, her voice like a whisper... A soft whisper that I don't know how but that voice sinking my heart. I tightened my grip as she shut her eyes. "Don't play with me, tell me the truth." She shook her head, "I told you already."
I tightened my grip strongly as I heard her heartbeat which is... Skipping. Her heartbeat is skipping... my anger; my agony fades away when I find out. I took a step back to let her calm down. I don't know what just happened to me but my own heart is aching right now.
"Drake, Rose! What are you two doing here? Come outside." Chris said as she glanced at Rose.
"You're coming with us after this event."
"I'm not going anywhere Chris; I'm not a yes girl," Rose said, her voice was shaking but she controlled herself.
"We don't trust you, Rose, not anymore so don't make it hard for us. You are coming with us. No more chit-chat. Get ready to come with us."
"Never!" Rose's voice is full of anger right now as Chris stopped her with her glowing eyes. I know Chris hypnotized her to come with us Chris looked at me one last time and then they both left this place and so am I.
