Chapter 46: Sensen High Vs. Seido High
PS: This chapter has bits of an inning written. The whole match is summarized and not written in detail. I thought Sensen is not that important so I finished it in 1 chapter. I can't wait for Inashiro's Match.

"This is the first semifinal game. Seido unexpectedly brought out their ace for this match and Sensen also called out their ace. Runner on 3rd and 2nd. This is Tanba's first time starting this summer. He doesn't want to concede any more runs here", said the announcer.
"STRIKE!", said the umpire as Tanba struck out a batter.
#2 batter was shocked seeing Tanba's curve, "It's even more threatening than Maki's", he thought.
Sensen's current strategy was to aim for the easy balls and aiming for the fastballs mostly.
"Seido managed to pull themselves out of a sticky situation", said the announcer.
In Sensen's Dugout.
"I don't really trust my players like Kataoka. That's where we are similar, but I do have hope in Maki today since he looks fired up for this match", thought Ugai coach.
Motivated Seido got ready for batting.
Maki pitched his curve and Yuki who was batting let the first pitch pass.
On the 2nd pitch, he hit the curve past the 3rd baseman and made it to the 2nd base.
Sensen High players were shocked to see Yuki hit Maki's curveball perfectly.
"Don't tell me they're going after Maki's curveballs!", thought the catcher.
Yuki did a guts pose reaching the 2nd base safely.
Miyuki came to bat next and hit the first pitch.
Unfortunately, it was caught by the center fielder.
"SO CLOSE", commented Sawamura from the dugout.
Masuko came to bat next and bunted as he got orders from the coach.
"Safe!", said the umpire as Masuko reached the first base safely and Yuki made it to the 3rd base safely.
"Masuko ambushes with a bunt! Runners on 3rd and 1st with only one out!", commented the announcer.
In Seido's Dugout.
"Nanda…Their pitches aren't that hard to hit", commented Rei leaning back on the bench.
"Aren't you glad they are hitting it", said Kawakami.
"Yeah, but I'm disappointed with how easy it is. I thought maybe I would get a chance to pitch if we were in a pinch", said Rei shaking his head disappointingly.
Kawakami chuckled in amusement.
"What do you think you're some kind of hero", said Miyuki joining in the conversation.
Rei had an expression implying, "obviously".
Miyuki sighed at how shameless Rei was.
Back in the field.
Jun came to bat next and was struck out swinging at each pitch.
"Don't mind, Spitz Senpai", commented Sawamura from the dugout.
"WHO'S A SPITZ!", said Jun glaring at Sawamura.
Tanba came to bat next and hit the 2nd pitch successfully making it to the 1st base safely.
Yuuki made it to the home plate and Masuko made it to the 2nd base.
Everyone cheered on Seido's side when they saw Yuki coming back after getting a run.
Kadota came to bat next and was struck out.
Miyuki noticed at how Tanba was sweating, "After all it's his first time starting in a match after a long break. Hope he doesn't exhaust himself".
Kataoka had taken notice of this as well.
In the audience.
Inashiro was watching the match and observing their next opponent whichever team it may be.
"Maki pitch's good, not bad", said Hideaki.
"Mah…He's just tall. More importantly, they should switch Tanba out. He looks exhausted plus isn't he injured", said Mei.
"You're underestimating Tanba too much. He came back from his injury", said Harada.
"What I'm interested in, seeing that #11 come to the mound", said Mei surprising his teammates.
"Mei showing interest in someone!", they thought shocked.
"W-what are you guys looking at me like that?", said Mei looking at his teammates.
"Well, I do agree that #11 has good pitching skills. I heard that he had 3 pitches, especially that cutter is troublesome. Anyways, I think we should be wary of him", concluded Harada.
"You never know what other things he's hiding", said Mei smirking.
Back in the field.
Shirasu came to bat, he hit the 2nd pitch, but it was caught by the pitcher.
"Silent Killer senpai, don't mind!", said Sawamura.
"How unfair, his height it's like cheating in the game", said Kuramochi frustrated.
Kuramochi came to bat next but was struck out.
Ryosuke came to bat next and hit the ball on the 2nd pitch.
"How ridiculous, if you keep throwing the same pitch, I'm going to hit it", thought Ryosuke running to the 1st base.
"SAFE!", said the umpire.
In Seido's Dugout.
"5 innings and we're tied. Well not bad could've been worse", thought Rei.
"Get ready to send Sawamura in and Kominato go warm up", said Kataoka.
Kominato nodded.
Rei sighed frustratingly, "Why wasn't I called? Sometimes I think Sawamura is blessed by a god. That dude gets so many chances to pitch even though he sucks".
Hearing Rei sigh, Kataoka said, "Rei you're not pitching today since you will be pitching in tomorrow's match", shocking everyone in the dugout.
"Trusting the 1st year for the finals. Talk about risky", thought the bench members.
Rei was shocked that he was going to pitch in the finals, "I'll take my words back about Sawamura".
"Though I hope Sawamura doesn't mess up", said Rei out loud.
"Don't make me anxious you brat", said Kuramochi.
Yuki came to bat next and hit it to the center field. Safely making It to the 2nd base. Ryosuke made it to the 3rd base.
Miyuki came to bat next and was walked to the 1st base.
Now all the bases were full and all the Sensen players had anxious faces.
"HOLD ON, MAKI".
"JUST ONE MORE OUT!".
Masuko came to bat next and hit it past the 3rd baseman.
Ryosuke made It home. Yuki made it home as well. Miyuki reached 3rd base safely.
Seido scored 2 more runs successfully leaving Sensen in despair.
Jun came to bat next but was struck out.
Sawamura took the mound.
He walked the 1st batter. What a great way to start the inning.
Sensen batter stole a base and reached 2nd base.
Maki came to bat next.
He hit a long foul on the 1st pitch.
Sawamura struck him out.
Outside the building.
"Sensen couldn't score any more runs", said Hideaki.
"I see", said Harada.
"Wow! The loud 1st year managed it somehow", said Mei not expecting anything of Sawamura.
"Seeing the new pitchers in the team makes me excited. I can't wait to take them on", said Mei.
Back In the field.
Sawamura was switched for Kawakami in the 8th inning.
Maki was switched out as well since he was exhausted to pitch.
The last batter of the match hit the ball but couldn't make It to base.
Maki covered his face as he cried, "I should have been with this team instead of thinking about Seido". He had many regrets during this match.
"GAME SET!", said the umpire.
"Nice pitch, Kawakami", said Jun.
"Nice pitch, Nori", said Ryosuke.
Both teams lined up and bowed to each other in respect.

"Good Job", said Rei.
"OHHHH!", replied Sawamura with twinkles in his eyes.
Rei sighed and walked away.
Outside the building.
Rei, Ryosuke, and Kuramochi were walking together.
"Wait! I think I just saw something interesting", said Rei smirking.
"What!", said Kuramochi turning around annoyed.
His face brightened when he saw Sawamura and his friends talking.
They both nodded towards each other and walked towards Sawamura while chuckling evilly.
"What are both of them thinking?", thought Ryosuke as he shrugged and followed them.
"Is…is…that…Wakana? Is that the Wakana he's always texting? S-StupidMura!", said Kuramochi.
Rei nodded in appreciation looking Wakana up and down. She did look prettier in real life compared to the anime.
"Nice to meet you. May I know your name, lady", said Rei approaching Wakana. He held her hand and kissed it gently.
"W-what…", said Wakana confused while blushing.
Noticing this Sawamura came up to Rei and separated both of them.
Rei smiled loving the irritated expression Sawamura was showing.
"I thought she wasn't your girlfriend", said Rei teasingly.
"She isn't! She's my childhood friend", said Sawamura.
"Oh really, then you wouldn't mind me kissing her hand then", said Rei.
"I do because I don't want her to be near a playboy like you", said Sawamura.
"REALLY!", said Rei pissed off.
Before anything happened Ryosuke came and slammed on both of their heads.
"We've been calling you two for a while now", said Ryosuke oozing out his dark aura.
"Come over here both of you! Wanna be late to Inashiro's game, Stupid?", said Kuramochi.
"Well, I need to take them away now, but please come cheer for us again", said Kuramochi to Wakana.
"Call me", said Rei winking towards Wakana.
Kicking Rei Kuramochi dragged both of them to Inashiro's match.
