'Is that the skill that was automatically added since the system upgrade, cool....Now let's check the shop for skills and then maybe some items depending on the cost but seriously I can't believe I almost have 10,000 coins', thought Rei as he opened up the system shop.

Rei was shocked to see some new products added and considered buying some.
'Nevermind', thought Rei chuckling as he looked at the price of the products.
'I thought around 10,000 coins were enough to go on a shopping spree, but I am deeply mistaken', he thought browsing through the items and skills.
A good and useful skill cost around 50,000 which was a ridiculous amount for the current him.
Finally, after spending a good hour browsing through the skills, he found 1 which he liked.

Previously when Rei searched for skills, he found a stamina boost skill, but it lasted for 2 hours a day, but he found another version of the skill which lasted 4 hours a day even though it was more costly he still thought it was worth it.
Just think about it, how useful the stamina boost skill for him during a match would be. This could decide the game as well. If he used the skill wisely since it lasted for 4 hours.
'How do I buy this?', he thought since he wanted to purchase the skill and didn't see any buy button.

Rei nodded and did as he was told.

Without even doubting it Rei bought the 2 of them and they materialized in his inventory.
To check his new skill, 'Stamina Boost II' Rei opened his Status screen. He saw a new skill underneath Unique Skills, it was chained closed.
Rei clicked on it and the chains disappeared meaning the skill was now available for use.
'I have a new theory since the new skill I bought from the shop has been added underneath the Unique skills section. Does that mean all the skills that I made using my past knowledge are underneath the Skills category on my status screen?
'Whatever, let's not think about it too deeply', he thought as he opened his inventory and 2 golden vials of Serums appeared in front of him.

The Notification appeared as Rei touched the vials.
'Grip', thought Rei.

Rei nodded and drank both vials. 'Surprisingly, the taste was like nothing, I thought they would taste like gold', he thought chuckling.
After drinking, Rei felt a tingle in his fingers for 4 minutes until it subsided. He felt like his finger muscles were bulging.
Rei checked his status screen again and the Grip attribute had been increased by 10.
The Next Day, In the Meeting Room.
"Today Chigusa Metropolitan will be coming to our field in the afternoon. Furuya get ready to start", said Kataoka.
Furuya nodded feeling excited about starting in the match.
"As I said before I will give everyone a chance before the fall tournament. Your new assistant coach, Ochihai recommended a team exercise for us which I think will be good for the team as well. Miyuki hand everyone the notebooks", said Kataoka.
Miyuki stood up and gave each player a notebook.
"In these notebooks, write what you aspire to be in the team, your motivation, and things you could improve on", said Ochihai.
"Haii!!", said the players.
All the players started writing in their notebooks.
'I want to be the best pitcher. I would love to be the ace. Things to improve on, hmmm…I have nothing really', this is what Rei wrote in his notebook.
'Sounds a bit arrogant but it's true', thought Rei as he read it.
Shrugging he gave the notebook to Kataoka who was collecting it and walked outside.
Sawamura basically made jokes in his notebook, and he wrote that he needed to work on his control and that he will work hard.
Furuya was super emotional in his notebook. 'I want to be the ace. I have many things I must improve such as my stamina but if I work hard, I can make it. I can never be able to give someone else the mound, it is mine'.
In the Field, Evening.
Furuya started the match with Chigusa High. He easily struck out each player and didn't let a run through till the 6th inning when he was replaced by Kawakami.
Chigusa High was not a competitive school, so it was an easy win for Seido.
Rei who observed the match in the dugout saw how frustrated Sawamura seemed seeing Furuya pitch.
"You come to meet me in field B at night", said Rei approaching Sawamura.
Sawamura nodded startled.
At night, in Field B.
Rei stood in the middle of the field waiting for Sawamura.
"OYE…I'm here", said Sawamura approaching Rei.
"OK, get ready", said Rei.
"For what?", asked Sawamura.
"Pitching", said Rei.
"Are you going to catch my pitches?", said Sawamura.
"No, dumbass", said Rei.
"Then, who will catch my pitches?", asked Sawamura.
"I called someone. Just wait…", said Rei.
After 30 minutes, both heard footsteps.
"Yo…Sawamura", said Chris smiling.
"WHAAAAA!! MASTER!!!", said Sawamura as he ran toward Chris.
"I called Chris senpai…aren't I amazing", said Rei. He looked over to Sawamura and Chris and found them blatantly ignoring him.
"DON'T IGNORE ME!", said Rei.
A few minutes later, Chris was in his catching position, and Sawamura was in his pitching position ready.
"Sawamura, throw with everything you've got", said Rei.
Sawamura nodded and threw his fastball.
"Around 130 KM", muttered Rei.
"Sawamura do you even think how you hold the ball before you throw?", asked Rei.
"You're supposed to", said Sawamura.
Rei and Chris both chuckled at Sawamura's stupidity.
Just like this until midnight, Rei and Chris helped Sawamura with his techniques and control.
in Rei's Dorm.
'Hopefully, this training helped Sawamura tonight. Chris-senpai barely had time since he was preparing for exams, but he especially came for Sawamura. I remember now what I was getting anxious about. It was Sawamura's YIPS but since the dead ball incident didn't happen, I don't think Sawamura will have YIPS', thought Rei yawning.
'Anyways, who am I to worry about someone else? I must sleep since tomorrow Yakushi High is coming for the scrimmage', thought Rei as he closed his eyes to sleep.
