Chapter 4: Chapter 3: Angel

As he asked me those questions, I saw photos in my head kinda like slideshows.

Myra: Lycus. Whatever illusion you are playing in my head, stop it. Please?

Lycus: Yes your highness.

he said and bowed his head, losing the glow in his eyes.

I kept thinking to myself about the absurd questions when a question popped in my head.

Myra: So, how does this work? Like, how is this my 4th life? And assuming "Atlantis" resurfaced on my birthday, how is it exactly connected to me and, or my 18th birthday?

Ioannis: Your highness, it's because our lives are directly and indirectly connected to your highness'.

Myra: Our as in?

Ioannis: The Atlantians. The Atlantians' lives are directly and indirectly connected to your highness'.

Myra: How? How is it connected?

Ioannis: Your highness, yo-

Myra: Drop the formal speech, it makes me uncomfortable.

Ioannis exhale lightly.

Ioannis: Okay.. your highness has probably already realized if Atlantis has resurfaced it probably means we resurrected from the dead.

I nodded in response.

Ioannis: We Atlantians are bonded with each other. None can die unless your hi- I mean, you die.

Okay so, wow. This is some next level unbelievable stuff. Also, that tongue slip?

Myra: The way you put it, are Atlantians different from us human?

Lylin: Yes your highness.

Myra: Are we even the same species?

Lylin: No your highness. Well technically yes, since your highness isn't a human either.

"She creeps me out." I thought to myself.

Lycus: Lylin, you are scaring her highness.

Lycus whispered to Lylin.

Lylin looked at me with doe eyes and knelt down in front of me hurriedly.

Lylin: I apologize your highness!!!

I panicked as I held her up.

Myra: It's fine, don't worry.

Lylin: But..

Myra: It's fine!

I insisted.

Myra: Go sit back where you were previously sitting.

I watched her go back to her seat like a sad puppy.

Myra: So, Lylin, according to you humans and Atlantians are different, but how exactly? I mean, you look just like humans.

I tried not to refer to myself as human since it seems like it kind of upsets them.

Lylin: Your highness, don't le-

Myra: Just use "you". I like that more.

Her eyes widened again.

Lylin: Yes, your- I mean, just, yes.

Myra: Yeah so what were you saying.

Lylin: Oh yeah, erm... This isn't our actual form. If your h- I mean, you saw our true form you wouldn't even open the door.

Lylin: I must add that humans can't see or perceive us Atlantians. Your, I mean, you are part human and part Atlantian. So, the closest definition of what we look like is light. However, we are not angels. We are creatures created by the angels to help the humans. The angels put a fragment of themselves into us Atlantians.

The way she just answered a question I was about to ask, makes me think... Maybe we were close.

And holi frick?! Creatures created by angels?!

Myra: So technically, I am part angel as well?

They chuckled a little.

Myra: Guys, you probably also already realized there is no way I am going to believe you right?

Ioannis: Yes. We have prepared for every possible scenario. However we need your permission to initiate our next move. So, please grant us your permission.

I took a deep breath.

There was this awkward silence that filled the room.

I thought I should break the silence as I heard Lylin's stomach gurgle. She covered her face.

Myra: I have some fruits you guys can have, can you eat fruits?

Lycus: Yes, we can consume most fruits.

He said that chuckling as I saw Lylin's eyes sparkle up.

These kids aren't so bad honestly. I definitely have a different opinion about them then what I had at the start.

To sum it up, part Atlantian, part human, part angel, an object and adorable creepy kids with this handsome blue haired man who is my supposed right hand man, huh?

If this is a dream, it is one of the most pleasant nightmares.
