Chapter 85: Chapter 85: Halloween Eve (Edited)

At the end of the morning's enchantment classes, Fish awoke from her nap and joined the group in the Great Dining Hall downstairs for lunch.

Lunch was a bit heartier than breakfast, with more pumpkin pie and gingerbread in the shape of little people, as well as desserts like toffee apples and cupcakes.

Fish tried everything except the gingerbread and found that her favorite was the meat, but the desserts were good too.

With a bunch of witches feeding him, Fish filled up his belly before he knew it... She originally wasn't going to eat that much as she wanted to make room for tonight's dinner.

Wait, why exercise to digest the food? Or play with the snitch in the Great Hall...

Just as Fish was lying on the long table, Comey suddenly sent a hollow pumpkin head to the Gryffindor table, with two slits in the top for Fish's cat ears to poke out.

Finding something to do, Fish jumped off the table, transformed into his cat-man form, put the pumpkin on his head, grabbed the magical bag Dumbledore had given him, and ran off toward each professor's office.

"Minerva! Trick or treat. meow!" ?((◣ ◢))?

Fish's first stop was, of course, Professor McGonagall, who was ready and cheerfully placed the candy in Fish's magic bag.

From Professor McGonagall's office, Fish made her way to the infirmary, also on the second floor, where she found Madam Pomfrey, who was sorting herbs.

"Grandma White Hat! Trick or treat, meow!" ?((◣ ◢))?

"Oh, it's little Fish."

Madam Pomfrey smiled and tapped Fish's pumpkin-covered head a couple of times before opening the cabinet at hand and grabbing a handful of candies from the jar inside and stuffing them into Fish's magic bag.

"I made them myself, they won't cause cavities and they're good for your stomach, you're always overeating, so take a few if you can, and come back for more when you finish them." instructed Madam Pomfrey as she filled Fish's magic bag with the candy she had prepared especially for him.

"Got it, Meow!"

Fish didn't understand much of what she was telling him, but he did remember that Grandma White Hat had told him to eat more candy.

After leaving the infirmary, Fish headed straight for Filch's office on the first floor, and after getting some dried fish from Big Eyes, he continued on to the door of Professor Greasehead's office.

Knocking on the door, he was greeted by the ever-present grim visage of Professor Greasehead.

"Trick or treat meow!" ?((◣ ◢))?

The pumpkin-headed Fish stretched out the magic bag with both hands and handed it to Professor Snape, then frowned and sniffed and stepped back a couple of paces to see Professor Quirrell, who was standing behind Professor Snape.

"Meow? is Professor Stinky here too?" Fish hesitated, but he firmly handed over the magic bag in his hand and repeated, "Trick or treat, meow!"

Seeing that it was Fish knocking on the door, Snape's grim face softened a little, almost as if the corners of his lips had turned downward, returning to a normal angle.

"Just a moment."

After a moment of peering through the hole in the pumpkin's head, Snape turned and walked back to his office.

Due to Professor Quirrell's presence in the office, Fish did not follow him, but waited obediently outside the door.

Thanks to the fact that his head was covered by a pumpkin, the scent of the pumpkin greatly masked Quirrell's strange odor, otherwise Fish would have run away.

Snape pulled a small bag out of the drawer and tossed it to Fish very nonchalantly.

"Take it, it's a little something I made when I was bored, you might like it."

"Meow?"

Fish caught the bag Snape tossed him and held it in front of him, sniffing it gently, but because of the bag and the smell of pumpkin and Quirrell, he could only smell a faint whiff of catnip.

Although catnip didn't make Fish roll over like many cats, his love for catnip was still intact, so Fish quietly pocketed the baggie in his magic bag.

In fact, Snape had made the treats in the bag a long time ago, and had put a lot of effort into it, adding some of his own special joy potion and other stimulants in addition to the catnip. You could tell he put a lot of effort into it...

It's just that Snape had never found the opportunity to give it to Fish after he'd made it, and at this point, he took the Halloween opportunity to give it away.

Fish had no idea that Snape's snacks had such a complicated story to tell, and apparently Snape himself didn't want to explain it.

Pocketing the snack Snape gave him, Fish turned and ran, he didn't want candy from the stinky guy.

"Thank you, Professor Greasehead, I'll be on my way."

Professor Quirrell, who was trying to force a smile and was about to step forward and say something, suddenly froze, seeing Fish's back moving away, and he gritted his teeth unconsciously and his hatred for Fish deepened.

But instead of getting revenge on an unimportant freshman, the matter of the Philosopher's Stone was more important. Quirrell suppressed his resentment towards Fish, and turned his head to keep finding various excuses to ask Snape about the contents of the level he was in charge of.

After leaving the basement, Fish went through the other professors' offices, including the bad old man's office, and harvested many snacks.

After asking for snacks from the teachers, Fish didn't just enjoy them alone, but shared them with the other students and the house elves like Comey in the kitchen.... As a result, the elves were moved to tears.

Fish didn't really care how many snacks he had, he didn't miss them anyway, it was the process of asking for them that was fun.

After handing out the snacks, afternoon classes were about to begin and Fish took another nap at his desk before being called by Scarhead and the others after class to return to the Great Dining Hall for the Halloween party.

By the end of the evening, the Great Dining Hall was decorated differently, with colorful Halloween decorations all over the Great Dining Hall, much to the delight of the students.

A thousand bats fluttered along the walls and ceiling and another thousand fluttered above the tables like low clouds, flickering the candles inside the pumpkins.

The delicacies suddenly appeared on golden plates, just like at the banquet at the beginning of the school year.

In addition, almost all of the students and teachers wore cat ears, and the group strolled through the Great Dining Hall with various cat ears and greeted Fish enthusiastically as he entered the Great Dining Hall.

"Meow, it's a party, meow!" ? (●>ω<●)?

Smelling the aroma of food in the Great Dining Hall, Fish ran around the long tables excitedly, occasionally finding an empty seat to eat, and when he felt like it, he would transform back into a cat and jump on top of the long tables, zigzagging through the food on them.

Apparently, because of the party, Minerva did not stop Fish from running, but merely warned him to be careful when running.

Dumbledore and Professor Flitwick even pulled out their wands and set off colorful fireworks in the Great Dining Hall, adding to the party atmosphere.

In the midst of all this fun, Professor Quirrell suddenly entered the Great Dining Hall with a face full of panic.

As the crowd watched him, he hurried to Dumbledore's side, leaning over the table to brace himself and gasping, "Trolls... in the basement... I thought you should know..."

After saying that, Professor Quirrell bowed his head and slid down the table to the floor, collapsing.

The Great Dining Hall erupted in chaos as Dumbledore again used his wand to set off a cloud of fireworks to silence everyone.

"Prefects," Dumbledore said, maintaining his composure and ordering the House Prefects, "take the students of each House to their dormitories immediately!"

"Meow! What about the banquet?!"∑(●ΦДΦ●)

Fish didn't know what a Troll was, he just wanted to continue attending the banquet, so when the red-haired No 1 was summoning the first-year students, Fish changed back to cat form and planned to secretly stay here and continue eating.

However, Professor McGonagall knew his thoughts all too well, and immediately found Fish, who wasn't planning to leave, and picked him up by pinching the back of his neck.

"This is no time to waste time!" Professor McGonagall shouted, "Follow the group to the dormitory, Percy...! Keep an eye on Fish."

"Yes, Professor McGonagall!"

Percy, who couldn't let Fish wander off, whether it was his duty as Headmaster or out of love for him, caught up to Fish in his cat form and held him firmly in his arms before leading the other first-year students upstairs.

Although Fish was able to let go of Percy's arms with ease, he was more or less aware of the importance of the situation, and with the seriousness of Minerva's attitude at that moment, he would have been scolded if he had continued to fool around.

So the poor kitten could only watch as the delicious food on the table drifted away from him.

"Meow...!" ?(=QДQ=)?
