Chapter 464: Chapter 463: 4 Champions (Edited)

Fish took Gabrielle and Hermione for a full day of fun in the Forbidden Forest, and they had lunch at the centaur tribe. By the end of the day, the girl's admiration for Fish had reached its peak.

As for her sister... Huh? What sister?

"We should go back."

As the sky gradually darkened, Hermione looked at Gabrielle, who had been with Fish all day, and said with a slight grimace.

"The sun hasn't fully set yet!"

Gabrielle, who hadn't been having enough fun, wrapped her arms around Fish and wasn't looking forward to going back.

Fish was a little tempted, as his stomach was starting to get hungry.

What's more, Hermione reminded her, "Tonight is the announcement of the Champions, Gabrielle, don't you want to know if your sister will be chosen Champion of Beauxbatons?".

However, to Hermione's surprise, Gabrielle shook her head decisively and replied, "No!".

Hermione then heard the girl say proudly, "I don't think anyone could beat Fish, so they better not have chosen my Sister, otherwise she will definitely be beaten... my sister is not very strong."

After that day, although Fish hadn't made a point of showing it, the astute Gabrielle had sensed the difference between her sister and Fish, so she didn't think very highly of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang.

"Nyajajajaja!" Fish laughed triumphantly as he folded his arms, "Don't worry, Fish won't hurt your sister nya!"

"The Triwizard Tournament isn't supposed to be about a few Champions fighting each other." reminded Hermione once again.

"Right. ..." Fish froze, then stretched out his hands helplessly, "Then there's nothing Fish can do about it."

After some small talk, the three of them left the Forbidden Forest and returned to the castle.

Although Gabrielle didn't care who the Champions were, Fish had to be there. After successfully signing up, Fish was sure he was the Hogwarts Champion.

When they entered the candlelit Great Hall, it was nearly full. The Goblet of Fire had been moved and was now on the long teachers' table, opposite Dumbledore's place.

All the teachers except Dumbledore were already seated at the table, including Headmistress Maxime and Karkarov, while Hagrid, with a change of clothes and hairstyle, stood to one side of Madame Maxime.

"Hagrid really wants to be that aunt's boyfriend... and he's trying to trick Fish nya."

(??)

Fish pursed his lips and muttered in dissatisfaction.

At the long Gryffindor table, Harry, Ron and the twins were already seated, their white beards disappearing from their chins, and they were talking animatedly to the people around them.

Aside from Fish, the four of them were the only ones who had made it past the age line, and the success of their enrollment...it was a credit to Fish, but also the envy of the others.

"Gabrielle!"

Fleur's voice came from the direction of Ravenclaw, she was a little worried after not seeing her sister for a day.

"Come here!" she beckoned to the girl.

Gabrielle hesitated, but reluctantly let go of Fish and walked slowly....

She had to prepare her sister, so she wouldn't lose so much that she would go crazy.

And, naturally, Fish and Hermione returned to the long Gryffindor table and sat down.

Shortly afterward Dumbledore returned, accompanied by Ludo Bagman and Barty Crouch, two officials from the Ministry of Magic.

Soon the feast began, and everyone seemed a bit distracted, even Hermione, except for the carefree Fish, who was curious about who the final three Champions would be....

Well, for Hogwarts students, there were probably only two unsure Champions.

Finally, the plates in front of everyone returned to their pristine state, and the noise in the Great Hall immediately rose two or three degrees.

But when Dumbledore rose from his seat, the Great Hall fell silent again, and all eyes were on him. Even the teachers and the other two headmasters had nervous faces.

Fish, however, looked as relaxed as ever, stroking his round belly and burping contentedly.

But although Fish wasn't as nervous as the others, he was also curious about his future opponents, and only Mr. Crouch looked bored, as if he wasn't interested in the matter at all.

"Well, the Goblet of Fire is about to make its decision," Dumbledore began to speak, "I reckon it will be another minute...".

He told the group that when the Goblet of Fire had chosen its warriors, they would have to go to a room adjoining the Great Hall for initial instruction.

The room was familiar to all Hogwarts students, it was the room where all new students spent time before starting, and where Fish first met the ghosts.

Then Dumbledore pulled out his wand and waved it over the Great Hall.

Instantly, all the lights went out, except for the candles in the pumpkin lanterns, and the Great Hall fell into a state of half light, half darkness.

The whitish-white flames of the flaming Goblet of Fire became so dazzling that they even seemed a little blinding.

Still, everyone's eyes lingered on it, even if it made them weep.

Of course, to Fish, the light was no big deal, and the cat's pupils automatically shrunk to the size of pinpoints, quickly adapting to the glow of the Goblet of Fire.

Dumbledore's estimation was correct, and a minute later the flames of the Goblet of Fire suddenly turned red again, sputtering. Then a tongue of flame shot up into the air and out of it flew a piece of parchment with scorch marks around the edges....

Everyone in the Great Hall held their breath, even Fish, who leaned forward and stared absorbedly at the piece of paper.

"A Durmstrang Champion," Dumbledore said loudly as he grabbed the note and looked at the name on it, "It's Victor Krum."

Just as the people at Hogwarts thought it most likely that the Champion would be Fish, the Durmstrang students had mostly guessed who their school's warrior would be, so those who had not been chosen acted calmly, clapping and congratulating Krum.

Karkarov, who had always shown a preference for Krum, shouted so loudly that he couldn't even drown out the applause.

"Bravo, Victor! I knew you were destined to be a Champion."

To the applause and cheers from the audience, Krum stood up and walked into the next room.

After a few seconds, a second note flew out, Dumbledore looked at it and announced, "Beauxbatons' Champion is Fleur Delacour!"

This time the boys cheered a little louder, and even Ron clapped madly for Fleur with the urge to break his palms... Ginny kicked him for this and gave him a look of disgust.

But it was clear that Fleur was not as "dominant" at Beauxbatons as Fish and Krum, because many of the Beauxbatons students looked disappointed, and the two girls who had not been chosen were burying their heads in the crook of their arms and screaming disconsolately.

Fleur stood up and looked deeply at Fish, she had heard Gabrielle and Madame Maxime say that Fish was special, but she wasn't about to give up.

"Nya?"

??

Without knowing why, Fish noticed Fleur's gaze and tilted his head to look back at her.

Fleur looked away, shook out her shiny silver hair and then walked into the next room.

A third note flew out of the flames and Dumbledore took it, a smile grew on his face, he knew who it was even though he had not yet seen the name.

The same could be said for the people who had been with Fish the night before.

Unlike the previous two papers, the one that flew out this time was red in color, with some gold patterns on it.

The other Hogwarts students and teachers were quick to recognize, as it was not the first time they had seen that style of paper, as it had been used on Fish's Christmas cards.

So it didn't take long for the Hogwarts students to get in an uproar.

Dumbledore glanced at the name on it, confirmed that it was correct, and then shook the slip of paper in his hand and said, "How can you guess...the Hogwarts Champion, it's Fish McGonagall!"

The Great Hall erupted in resounding applause and cheers, and even the professors' faces broke out in sincere smiles.

"Nyajajajaja! As expected, Fish was elected!"

(●`?●)

Fish stood up and said proudly, curling his tail behind him in the shape of a question mark.

"Fish, you should go to that room now."

Hermione reminded him quietly as she tugged on the cat that had gotten a little carried away. Fish came to his senses, waved to Professor McGonagall and walked to the next room.

"The Hogwarts champion is in fact you."

Fleur said with a sullen face as soon as Fish entered the room.

Beside her, Krum frowned, looking at Fish with some surprise...he had heard of Fish from the Slytherin students, but knew very little about the cat, and it seemed to him that Fish was still too young to be a warrior.

But for character reasons, he didn't say anything about it.

"Hello!"

(?ΦΦ?)?

Fish greeted the two with a big smile, and then said as a matter of course, "It's the three of us now, isn't it? Fish won't lose."

"We won't know until we've competed." replied Fleur defiantly.

Krum's look, though still silent, was one of confidence and pride as a world-renowned young Seeker.

At that moment, Fish twitched his cat ears and looked suddenly towards the door.

"Huh? Looks like Harry is going to compete with us too Isn't it called the Triwizard Tournament?"
