Chapter 1: Prologue
'Man, bureaucracy in the afterlife is really bad huh' ,Tim thought. After waiting for hours and standing in the long queue full of death people's spirit waiting for judgement his turn finally come up and he soon face an old wrinkly man sitting in a wooden chair.
" Tim Lannister, died in 3207 AD, human calendar, aged 876 years old. Lived his comfortable life effectively, became one of the richest and influential businessman at age 241 years old, and started a lot of charities to impoverished planet, albeit most of them your own planets but you still help a lot of people. And, you help funded a lot of medicinal research. You seem like a good person Tim, what do you think?" the mysterious man said calmly.
Tim was not an arrogant person but he was always proud of his achievement throughout his long years of life so he replied directly," Yes, I have helped a lot of people, almighty, God, but you forgot that I stopped an inter-galactic war from happening so you have to give me credit for that ?"
The mysterious man looked amused and said "I am not a God child, there's no such thing, I am however a manifestation of the universe, but you can call me all you want. As for your 'Greatest Achievement', hehehe, you stopped that war from happening because your rival and former friend James Stark was one of the biggest weapon dealer in history, and don't forget the fact that you robbed countless planets and 'accidentaly' murdered his entire family in their escape from the law enforcements. But you did save a lot of lives, I guess that off set the guilt, you have a very great resume Mr. Lannister."
"Your highness, is correct, I did it all for humanity sake, it's not my fault if I took advantage in some things a long the way. So does this mean I can enter heaven Your Highness ? " Tim hopefully asked, he was never a religious person but he was a businessman and will lick this God ass if that mean he will get a better deal.
The old man smiled and replied " There's no such things as a heaven or hell child, your merit or sin will be counted and if you have a lot of merit you will be born in a rich and comfortable family like yourself previously have. They will also be born with luck. Likewise, if you are sinful then you will be born in a poorer and uglier family or life that will make you have to work harder in the future. Here's the deal, you have a great merit in this life and I will send you to another world called Arda, surely you have heard of it ?"
"Arda ?" Tim was still in a daze with all the shocking information he had just received, " Y....Yes, I seem to remember bits and pieces of it. This world is created by Mr Tolkien, most of the writing have been edited and changed but I can recall a little of it." Tim replied whilst trying to remember all the detail of this world.
"Yes, well you are about to be reborn there so you can choose your powers and race you want to be born with, also keep in mind, you won't remember your past life at all, no pun intended" The old man smirked a little.
Tim panicked and said "wait hold up, wait a minute, why would I not remember anything at all, can I not exchanged some of my abundant point as a trade for my memories ?"
"Hmph, do you remember your past lives before your current one ?" The old man sneered and continued "I can allow a tiny, miniscule amount of your memory regarding that world just a little bit to come follow you but thats all. Now, what do you want in your new life, it cannot be to excessive".
Tim relented and began to think which choice is best for him, his centuries of experience made him a decisive fellow and he knows he cannot argue with the universe himself and can only take the path in front of him. 'Elves are immortal so i definitely would choose them, they are also the strongest dominant race in Arda, I don't want to die of old age again, The dwarves likes of gold does resonate with me but I wanted to live a more peaceful and exciting life than mining in mountains, so I will choose the Elves. I seem to recall there are several species of Elves. The most powerful are the Eldar or the High Elves, who followed the Valar to Valinor. The Teleri are out of the question, that leaves the Noldor and the Vanyar. The Noldor are awesome fighter and smiths and have a very exciting action filled history, while the Vanyar were skilled in the arts of war as well but they are also skilled in magic and poetry, they are also known to be the most noblest among the Vanyar. So I will go with the Vanyar Elves as the race I wanted to be born with.'
"Great choice sir, now what time you want to be born in ?" The old man clapped his hands and excitedly asks back after reading Tim's thought.
" I wanted to be born as Ingwe's son after the Vanyar had already settled in Taniquetil. I wanted to be born under the light of the two trees of Valinor to receive their power and blessing, as for my unique ability I shall leave to Your Highness's wish" Tim replied directly.
" Very clever my child, very well, since you are a smart person and very likeable I will give you a tiny ability of foresight and more powerful magic alongside a good aptitude for craftmanship, sounds good?" The old man smiled at Tim.
"Yes, Your Highness, Thankyou for your kindness and utmost mercy for this kind sou..."
Before Tim finished his centuries-practiced butt licking, the old man waves his hand and Tim reincarnated to Arda.
"Shameless bastard, I will enjoy watching this show, time to grab some snack and sit back and watch the Lord of The Ring : MY ADDITION, hehehehe, don't let me down child" The old man smiled excitingly and started to watch into the the screen he prepared.
