Chapter 2: Undocumented
August POV:
My servants came in with a file on the Cadence pack. I had heard whispers through the grapevine a while back of them harboring an undocumented human. They should know well enough by now that in my Fathers' kingdom, In MY kingdom that it is illegal. I have never liked werewolves, even since I was a child. Especially not those arrogant bastards in the Cadence clan.
They think all they have to do is abide by their own rules because they live in the mountains. Just because it is a days trek doesn't mean they can disregard the law. Little do they know I would be sending my men to bring their pet human back with them. What could be the significance of one human? Well. there's not, per say. Although I think it will be amusing to screw with those Cadence bastards.
Cutting my maniacal thoughts short. My father came in swinging the door open dramatically. "What the hell do you think you are doing you ungrateful child!?" Of course he was here to talk about the suitor I sent away. "Father you need to understand that sending women to throw themselves at me will not change my orientation."
"No, but you can at least attempt it! You need a queen in order to rule, And you need to produce an heir !" I am so sick of this of having this back, and fourth repetitious conversation. It is like trying to speak with a brick wall. "And you say all of it assuming that I could get it up with a woman. I have lived all of 317 years I promise I am not going to change. If I have told you once I have told you a hundred times, I will only marry, let alone bed a man." Here comes the contradictory pointless retort.
"You will be meeting Thirteen more suitors tomorrow, and I expect you to take all of them into consideration!" With that he slammed the French doors... Hard. I am so sick of going in circles with this insufferable tyrant! I slammed my glass of whiskey into the fireplace of my study. Now I was craving something a little thicker.
"Gavin!!!" My butler came in with a small bow. "Go get one of the blood slaves! And make it fast, I'm famished!" Without a response he walked out, and returned post haste with a petite blonde girl. I grabbed her roughly, and sunk my fangs into her neck without hesitation without even bothering to make it feel good for her. Her screaming could be heard throughout the castle, but I didn't care. I could feel her heart slow down, I drank deeply until she went limp with lifelessness.
"Clean this up." I walked out of my office and into the common area to where my private guards stood. They are perfect for jobs I don't want my father to catch wind of. "I need you to do something for me." They stood at attention awaiting my orders. "Listen closely because I am in a particularly fowl mood, and I am Not repeating myself. I need you to go into the mountains In the north, and figure out whether or not the Cadence werewolf pack Is keeping a undocumented human. If so you are to bring it back by whatever means necessary. Lastly my father stays uninvolved!"
"If they stand in our way are we allowed, to kill them." One of my guards asked. I almost smacked her . "Are you thick? or illiterate? Because I am fairly certain I said by whatever means necessary, and I would never stop you from killing a werewolf. Now be gone with you! Remember this shouldn't take more than a day. I give you Twenty-four hours, and if you don't return in that time there will be hell to pay."
With my guards on their way to do their task I could finally think about what a human child raised by wolves would be like. Probably unkempt, and small . I wondered how old it was, regardless of the killer in me I still had some morals, I wouldn't kill a child. I hope it is old enough to drain, I would love to show the pack that killed my mother the repercussions of defying my family.
