Chapter 49: Green Fire!

BOOM!
Booming voices reverberated in the forest, making all animals run away in fear. Ezio, who couldn't even carry the axe that he took from Aodhfionn's house, swung the axe hundreds of times already. Of course, he couldn't swing it continuously. It was already a few hours later since he first planned to cut this particular tree. By now, his hands were bleeding, muscles on his arms were swallowed to the limit, and he was sweating profusely.
BOOM!

With the last swing, the tree fell with Ezio in two different directions. He was so tired, so damn tired. He felt his eyes were closing, but biting the tip of his tongue he managed to stay awake. Jumping on his feet, he first took the axe back. He would want to carry the axe and tree together, but he wasn't that strong. He had to bring the axe first and then the tree, after all the tree would be less conspicuous in the middle of the forest and would not be stolen if seen by strangers.
After dropping the axe and coming back to the forest, Ezio put the tip of the tree on his shoulders as he grabbed two of its branches to drag it all the way to the forge.
When he reached the furnace, he planned to chop the tree into pieces, but when he remembered how hard it was for him to cut it once, he just ignored how useful the tree was, and put it in the forge. Fortunately, the furnace was big enough to accommodate the tree.
Ezio started to look around. He needed something to ignite a fire. Fortunately, this forge was one of the best in the Kingdom, probably even in most of the Kingdoms with the same tier.
There were Pomegranate Fire Fruits at the warehouse next to the forge. These fruits were like pomegranates Ezio remembered from his previous life. There were fire seeds inside one whole fruit, and when heated up enough the seeds would scatter and burn vigorously. Ezio thought 3 of them should be enough to combust the Fire Spirit Tree, then trigger Fire Qi Stones. But, it was still not the initial fuse Ezio was looking for. He needed something to detonate Pomegranate Fire Fruit.
After looking in the warehouse for more than a quarter of an hour, Ezio didn't find anything to detonate the Pomegranate Fire Fruit. There were some fuses that could be lit, but they weren't enough to cause the heat he was hoping for. As he was about to leave the warehouse to look somewhere else, a jar with red liquid caught his attention. Ezio could swear there was an instant sheen shone before it vanished, or he would overlook this obscure jar. A thought came to Ezio's mind as soon as he saw the bottle with the red liquid.
Can that be the blood of a Fire Beast? To be used as a heater it must be 5th Tier Demonic Beast with fire attribute or higher. Just who is this new Master of mine?
Ezio grabbed the jar and felt the heat spreading to his hand through the glass. He was certain of the content of the bottle now. When creatures progressed through their cultivation, the elements and techniques would indwell in their genes. It would be much later for the human and other races, but Demonic Beast mostly would burn with elements passed through from their ancestors. Hence, a Fire Elemental Demonic Beast would inherit the heating property and flame-based techniques from birth. And after cultivating to the 4th level, even the smallest cell on their bodies would show the same property they carried for generations.
Ezio opened the bottle to smell the blood inside the jar. Just the sniff burned his nostrils. It was a little painful but it wasn't enough to wipe away the smile formed on his face.
With this, I can detonate the Fire Pomegranate Fruit to burn the Fire Spirit Tree to trigger Qi Stones.
Ezio grabbed the jar and left the warehouse, but he didn't notice a pair of phantom eyes following him since he started to run to the forest.
"Hoho. Using the Fire Spirit Tree, Fire Pomegranate Fruits, and Blood of the Demonic Beast to trigger Fire Qi Stones... He sure has some knowledge about forgin after all, or it would be a total let down." Aodhfionn mused to himself with a smile. He let out a wisp of green fire from his hand and it floated towards the forge.
Ezio reached to the forge and placed the Fire Pomegranate Fruits at the center, and started to pour the blood on the tree evenly. When the tree started to absorb the blood it started to smoke. Not long after it started to burn with green fire.
Green fire? How high is the tier of this beast, it can start a green fire?
But Ezio's surprise turned to panic as he saw the fruit at the center started to bloat.
Exploding so soon?
He thought it would still take much longer, but to his surprise, the Pomegranate Fire Fruit was about to detonate already. Running away from the forge, Ezio heard an explosion and a heatwave hit his back, but fortunately, it wasn't that strong. Ezio turned back to see the green fire burning all over the forge, and even the Qi Stones at the base started to shine with red light, indicating they were already activated.
Without a delay, Ezio took the Pristine Iron Ores to the forge to melt them. He was about to forge his first dagger, but a sudden quake in his mind stopped his hand.
