Chapter 20: Mondstadt Pt.8
Aether teleported to a teleporter outside of Mondstadt. Kaeya was waiting there with him. Aether looked at him.
"Women am I right?" Aether joked. Kaeya laughed loudly.
" Haaaaaaaa..... Yeah. You're right. C'mon let's go to the temple of the Wolf." Aether and Paimon followed him.
" Kaeya. This might seem personal but Paimon wants to ask if you have any family? " Paimon asked appearing beside Kaeya.
"Hoooo? You wish to know about my personal life. I'll tell you. First of all, I am an adopted child." Kaeya said smiling somberly.
"Paimon shouldn't have asked that." Paimon said feeling guilty.
"No no it's fine. I have a brother who's name is Diluc Ragnvindr. He has red hair and is the owner of a bar named Angel's Share. And he owns a very famous wine brewing industry named Dawn Winery." Kaeya said while walking up a hill.
"Is he handsome?" Paimon asked.
"He's handsome but —
" he's not as handsome as me. Yeah i thought so too." Aether said smirking at Kaeya.
"Oh you motherfuck—
"Oh wait a teleport point." Aether pointed and touched it. From Aether view it turned to blue as usual.
"I'll get you back someday." Kaeya muttered.
"I'll be waiting for that day. Just don't make those two angry. Speaking of Amber and Master Jean. Are they still chasing us?" Aether asked. His sensing range isn't very good. So he can't sense very far.
"We gotta hurry. They're closing in in us." Kaeya said swallowing his saliva nervously.
"Shit. Let's just run there or something." Paimon sighed and disappeared. "Seriously, when can Paimon get some fresh air?" She thought very annoyed.
Aether ran with Kaeya who was running to the Temple Of The Wolf. Aether touched a few more teleport points on the way. Once they arrived they took a breather for a while.
"Why the fuck did we run again?" Kaeya said sitting down drinking his water from his canteen.
"Escaping from those two." Aether said taking massive gulps of water of his own canteen.
"Yeah.... let's go in and deal with this quick. I need to eat a popsicle after this." Kaeya said standing in front of the temple. They both touched it and it turned from red to blue.
"I guess we can go in now." The giant door opened and they went inside. When they stepped one foot in. A portal sucked them in.
"Holy shit this is so cool." Aether said seeing the surroundings of the portal. Kaeya just grinned. It looks like they're seeing the whole universe with those stars and galaxies around them.
*Frrooomm!!*
They jumped out of the portal. "Aight let's do this." Kaeya said and Aether followed him.
Meanwhile with Amber and Jean "Where are they Amber?" Jean asked angrily wiping her sweat off her face. Which looks hot by the way.
"I don't know Master Jean! I've searched every corner of Mondstadt and i didn't even see them." Amber said disappointed. Sweat was on her face as well and she wiped it off.
"Hey cuties ~ Are you tired already?" Lisa said landing in front of them. She was gliding around her glider helping out of boredom.
"You think?!" Master Jean said exhausted.
"I think I know where they went." Lisa asked smirking. "This is getting exciting." She thought getting excited.
"Where? Please tell us Lisa!" Amber sat down exhausted.
"The temple." Lisa said and they immediately teleported to the Temple of The Wolf. "Hihihi." Lisa giggled and teleported with them as well.
Back to the gang. Kaeya and Aether stood over a ledge. They saw hilichurls and slimes down at the bottom.
"So like who's going first?" Kaeya asked.
"There is no who's going first. They might be catching onto us. So we have to do this quick." Aether said seriously. He did not want to get punched in the face. Steam came out of Aether. Indicating that the flame armor was activated. Kaeya jumped down and he landed gracefully on the stone ground.
The hilichurls and slimes were alerted.
"Rrrrraaahhh!!" The hilichurls and slimes charged at him.
"Freeze!" Kaeya stretched his hand that was holding his Favonius Sword out and ice came out of his hand. The hilichurls were standing on water which caused an elemental reaction.
*Ice noises*
*Shiiingg!!*
*Crack! Prrraaaaaannngggg!!!*
A line of fire appeared around the hilichurls necks. It cut their heads off. The object then flew to the frozen hydro slimes. It cut them in half.
*Psssshhh!*
The slimes were cut in half. The slimes disappeared. All that was left behind was slime condensate.
The object kept flying it turned back. It stopped in front of a hand as fast as it flew. It was Aether's flame ring. The ring then flew to Aether's back. Waiting to fly again at Aether's command. Aether then summoned his spear which caught on fire as soon as he's holding it. The giant door in front of them opened and they went through it.
"Aether. If I'm not mistaken. You don't have a vision do you?" Kaeya asked.
"You figured it out that fast? Yes.... I don't have a vision. But I can use the elements. Strange right?" Aether said walking with him.
"Yes.... Mysteries are one of the fun parts of life. Weird things happen once in a while" Kaeya said looking around the ruins.
"Paimon thinks it's very cool. People won't know what element you have until the find out." Paimon said floating around them.
We arrived in front of a flamethrower. "I got this." Kaeya said and freezed them.
"Thanks man."
"No problem. C'mon let's go faster. Kaeya said. Aether and Kaeya ran into a wind current. It was the only way to go up.
"You have your glider?" Kaeya asked.
"Yes I do. " Aether said and jumped. He floated up to another platform. They walked up to a door. It opened automatically.
(No door of resurrection. if you die you die)
They saw a big pyro slime when they walked in. "Your turn Kaeya. I'll try to help." Aether said and let Kaeya take over a while.
"My pleasure." Kaeya said and walked to the slime. He saw a Hydro Amber next to it.
"Hey slime." The pyro slime noticed him and jumped towards him. He dodged and broke the Hydro Amber. There was water everywhere.
Aether looked around his body. "Is my body vaporizing? I feel my body heating up even more. I feel stronger. One more thing to take note of."He thought.
"Cool it." Kaeya froze the slime and cut it to pieces. More slimes appeared. Aether backed up to Kaeya's back.
Slimes jumped towards Aether and Kaeya. Kaeya froze them easily. "Should make things easier." He looked at Aether. Aether smirked and the fire ring flew again. Pieces of slime were cut around. Aether caught the fire ring at his hand.
They walked in another automatic door. They saw the ley lines that has wind surrounding it. "Welp looks like our job is done." Aether thought. He knew there was an abyss mage hiding here somewhere. He just had to stay here and not let Kaeya convince him to go.
The ring flew to it. It reacted to the wind strongly and exploded.
*BOOM!*
"Well.... that's one way to deal with it. Well done.", Kaeya congratulated.
"Thanks. Though I think our jobs isn't done just yet. " Aether said looking at a pillar.
"So you've noticed it too?" Kaeya turned around and looked at the pillar.
"Yeah. It's definitely not a hilichurl. They don't have a strong magic capacity." Aether said. An abyss mage came out of the pillar.
"Hehehehehe." It giggled to itself.
"What is it?" Paimon asked.
"An abyss mage. He's the one behind this." Kaeya said.
"An abyss mage? What's that?" Paimon asked no one.
"Gohus, Chiso Vomph!" It took out it's staff and water acem out of nowhere.
Suddenly flames came out of nowhere. It spinned towards the hilichurl. It stopped it's chanting and looked at the flames. Suddenly a man with red hair appeared and clothesline it.
He threw it to a the ground. The man passed Kaeya who was just looking at the fight bored. The abyss mage flew up into the air. The man took out his claymore and front flipped into the air. Flame's appeared on his sword and he striked the abyss mage. It tried to block but the man was just to strong. It rolled to the ground with a slash on it's chest and died.
"Knights of Favonius... Always so inefficient....
