Chapter 149: Continuing On
"Oh shit!"

"What the fuck!" Eula shouted in horror as Aether was blasted in a beam of golden light.
"Heh. If your confidence won't kill you, I will." Zhongli said looking at where Aether was.
"Not that easily you won't." Aether said flying down towards Zhongli. Zhongli was met by a bright red fist to his face.
*BANG!*
*BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!*
A crater was created as Zhongli crashed onto the ground. Aether kept punching Zhongli in the face. The crater got bigger. Aether pulled back his fist as a purple glow covered his hand.
"Hrrrraa!!!" Aether shouted as he landed a punch covered with adeptal energy in Zhongli's face.
*BAAANG!!*
An explosion happened on Zhongli's face. Aether got up and walked away. He looked at the crater and purple fire was created on Aether's palm.
"Purple Fire? There's a strange but powerful energy in that fire. Do you have any answers, Venti?" Lisa asked her.
"That's adeptal energy. You can sense the energy of the others and you'll find that they have a similar signature to Aether's adeptal energy." Venti answered. Lisa kept quiet for a second before raising both of her eyebrows in surprise.
"They do have a similar signature to Aether's. But isn't adeptal energy supposed to be used by the adepti and Rex Lapis and only them?" Lisa was confused about how Aether got his hands on such divine energy.
"I don't know. Guess we just have to ask him ourselves. When the fight is done of course, we can't interfere now can we?" Venti smiled while looking at Aether.
Zhongli got up a second later and looked at Aether. " Got me there for a second." He muttered and his Vortex Vanquisher appeared.
" Bringing out the big guns already old man?" Aether asked. Zhongli scoffed a little.
"You call this big? I can't imagine what you will say when I go 10%" Zhongli said.
"Stop it man, my shirt is drenched with my sweat." Aether said.
"I'm not stopping and neither are you. Let's do this." Zhongli appeared in front of him and tried to thrust his spear into Aether's chest. Aether raised his hand and the purple fire ball clashed with the tip of his spear.
"Grrrrr...." Aether growled while trying to push back Zhongli's spear. Zhongli kept pushing easily.
A giant purple arm appeared beside Aether and tried to slammed Zhongli away. Zhongli raised his right arm and the giant arm hit his arm. It broke into pieces instantly.
Aether narrowed his eyes and a shockwave hit Zhongli and pushed him back. "Shockwave creation. That's new." Zhongli muttered. Aether created more purple fire balls and threw it to Zhongli. Zhongli slapped them away with his hands and the balls exploded in purple domes behind him.
"Damn. Talk about overkill." Amber muttered. Eula nodded slightly beside her.
"Hmmm.... Go full power, Aether" Zhongli said. Aether widened his eyes and smirked.
" Wait no don't!" Xiao shouted in panic. A shockwave pushed her back a little as the purple armor of the Deities surrounded Aether again.
It quickly turned into the giant that fought Osial. Six arms wielded giant versions of Enma. They all slashed at Zhongli at the same time who looked on.
Zhongli raised Vortex Vanquisher and blocked all six swords at once. He smirked and pushed back the swords so hard that he disarmed them.
The swords flew away and crashed onto the ground.
*BOOOOMMM!!*
The swords destroyed a lot trees. "Rex Lapis' Shit! Watch where your throwing! " Mountain Shaper scolded. Aether's six hands were raised in the air.
" I need a substitute quick! Ah, it's already done. " Aether smiled and purple chains appeared on the six hands. Aether immediately threw all of the chains in the air.
*KACHANK!!!*
"TENGAI SHINSEI!!!" Aether shouted and the Deities roared. They pulled something down. The clouds were cleared as a giant meteor shot down towards Zhongli.
"Clear the area. Take them as well!" Cloud Retainer pointed at the bush and disappeared in a blink. Xiao and Moon Carver nodded and disappeared and reappeared in the bush.
"Hey!" Amber shouted in shock before the six were taken away from the bush.
"Is that a challenge?" Zhongli asked with an amused smile before widening his eyes little. His smile faded a little as two more meteors arrived beside the first and was about to hit him.
"Damn. This is going to get ugly." Zhongli muttered before closing his eyes.
*BAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMM!!!!*
All three meteors crashed onto Zhongli. Aether shook his head.
"He's going to survive against this. The thing I'm worried about right now is that, is this enough to kill Osial and his wife Beisht who I'm certain will join him in the fight when the newly built Jade Chamber soars the neverending sky? Guess we'll find out soon enough." Aether mumbled before sensing something was wrong.
A hand wrapped around his neck and he fell down backwards.
"You fucking idiot! You know we're still here right!?" Xiao said angrily while choking Aether. Shenhe walked over and knelt down beside him. She raised her fist and hit him on the head softly but repeatedly.
"Baka. Baka. Big dummy. Baka. Stupid idiot. " Shenhe muttered while hitting him softly. Ganyu walked over and knelt down beside Aether.
" Let me pinch his cheeks. "Ganyu suggested and pinched Aether's cheeks.
"This position is.... seductive. There's no other way to say it." Mountain Shaper commented. Zhongli walked over and chuckled.
" It's a just punishment. " Zhongli muttered and nodded to himself.
" Well, he lost due of interference. But he definitely improved. He couldn't even summon 2 meteors without dying last time." Cloud Retainer declared. Zhongli nodded.
" Is he ready? " Zhongli asked the adepti.
" Who knows. It's not up to us to deal with Osial now. The Tianquan said to leave the fight to the mortals. Hmph! We'll be the spectators of this fight. " Mountain Shaper answered with some arrogance in his voice.
" Aether! You idiot! " Amber ran over and glared at him. Aether looked at her and smiled.
" Hi Amber! You're still beautiful as always. " Aether greeted and smiled widely. Shenhe stopped hitting him and looked at Amber and narro.wed her eyes at the Outrider.
" Who are you? Better explain yourself now....
