Chapter 223: Win
"3...2...1"
*PEEEEEEETT!!!!!*
The whistle was blown signaling the start of the first round. Aether let go of Chiyo's waist and immediately punched a random person in the jaw.
*Bam!*
The person's head twisted so fast it looked like it was about to break off from its body. The person's eyes went white and they fell down unconscious.
Chiyo jumped up and did a flying kick that hit her target straight in the middle of the nose.
*Bam!*
The person flew away and tumbled on the ground violently. She was already unconscious.
"Ahhh!!!" Aether looked to his right and to his left to see two men swinging their clubs at him.
Aether jumped up and stretched his legs to a split position. His legs kicked the two men in the face. The men flew away and tumbled on the ground.
Aether landed on the ground and looked around him. Chiyo arrived beside him. Their backs were against each other.
"Let's take out everyone yeah?" Chiyo suggested.
"You read my mind." Aether replied to her. They grinned and went off on a spree. Aether rushed a woman.
"I'm about to show her what gender equality means." Aether thought to himself. He did a Kazuma where he punched her in the face.
"Argh!!" The woman spat out some spit and landed on the ground unconscious from the punch. Aether jumped in the air and plunged his foot into the back of a random man's head.
*Bam!*
The man slammed into the ground when Aether's foot came in contact with the back of his head.
Aether went and did a side kick to a woman's chest.
"Ack!" The woman spat out spit and flew away. Meanwhile with Chiyo, she was doing very well.
She landed a punch to a man's solar plexus. Air was shot out of the man's chest and they didn't have time to shout in pain because Chiyo had already sent him flying away.
Chiyo jumped and delivered a roundhouse kick to a person's head. They tumbled to the ground and fell unconscious.
Chiyo looked to her side and grinned. She saw a glimpse of Aether and decided to rendezvous with him again.
Chiyo clotheslined a person and punched another on the way. She saw Aether was stomping on someone's face repeatedly.
Aether looked at Chiyo and waved at her. Chiyo smiled and pointed her finger at a direction behind Aether.
"Raagaghhh!!!!!" Behind him, a man was swinging down his sword angrily towards Aether's head.
*Krissssshhhhh!!! "
When the sword came in contact with Aether's head, it broke into millions of pieces. The man's eyes widened in shock.
" Wha—"
*BANG!!*
The man flew away and crashed into the stone wall of the arena.
*BOOOM!!!*
The stone wall cracked on impact. Everyone including the spectators were silent. The contestants were staring at Aether.
Chiyo took the opportunity and punched someone straight in the nose. Some blood splattered over her kimono.
"Get them!!!" Someone shouted while pointing towards Aether and Chiyo. Aether and Chiyo wasted no time and started rampaging all over the arena.
Makoto, Saiguu and Sasayuri could only stare at the 'battle'. "This is insane. We should stop this before one of them accidentally kills someone." Sasayuri advised them.
"They have no intention to do that." Saiguu interrupted. Sasayuri nodded slowly and kept watching.
"How interesting. Maybe he is one of them..... No, I don't sense any divine energy in him. " Makoto muttered to herself. Saiguu looked at her curiously.
"What are you muttering about, Makoto-chan?" The white haired kitsune asked the purple haired goddess.
"I'm just wondering if the golden haired boy has divine energy or not." Makoto answered her.
"Divine energy. Surely not. Those are reserved for the gods, the adepti, the Yaksha, the Youkai, the Oni, and the Tengu." Sasayuri looked at Makoto with disbelief in his voice and look.
"What if he does? No mortal can just do that without intense training and having an element. " Makoto asked still not believing Aether's just an ordinary mortal.
"I have a simple idea. Just ask him." Saiguu said bluntly. Sasayuri choked on his breath.
"And you expect him to answer that simply?" Sasayuri argued calmly with her. Saiguu raised an amused eyebrow.
"Wanna make a bet?" Saiguu challenged him. Sasayuri smirked.
"Sure. Saiguu. What are the stakes? " He asked her.
" If he answers my question truthfully. You will give me 50000 Mora. If he doesn't and avoids the topic, I will have to give you 50000 Mora. " Saiguu explained the bet. Sasayuri nodded to himself.
" That seems reasonable. It's a deal. " Sasayuri reached his hand out for a handshake. Saiguu had a foxy grin on her face and shook his hand. Makoto just watched on with an amused face.
Back with Aether and his new friend Mikoshi Chiyo, they were absolutely obliterating their competition. They had just finished their last opponent with a double punch to the face.
They stood up straight and looked around the arena to see a sea of unconscious bodies lying around them. Aether looked at Chiyo and laughed. Chiyo smiled.
The smile turned into a fit of giggles. Giggles turned into laughs that isn't womanly at all. Chiyo was lying on the ground rolling around playfully. Aether was kneeling on the ground while clutching his stomach.
They were still laughing.
After a while they stopped laughing manically. The crowd was silent all throughout the rampage and throughout the maniacal laughters of the two.
"Winners!! Aether from The Forbidden City and Mikoshi Chiyo from Inazuma City!! "
The audience heard a commentator shout out. They were silent for a while until some people stood up and clapped at them. The small amount of claps slowly increased as the whole crowd of spectators were clapping and cheering loudly at them.
Aether and Mikoshi Chiyo waved at the crowd and smiled happily. They slowly made their way back into the competitors room.
They went into the room. They high fived each other.
"Congratulations on winning, Aether and Chiyo." They turned around quickly and saw Makoto standing in the middle of the room with Saiguu beside her.
Aether was staring at the two of them. He was not even hiding his intentions. He was glaring holes straight at their chests. Saiguu giggled in amusement
"Damn they're big.....
