Chapter 1: Rebirth and Veldora
I am an engineering student and had just received my result for my second year. I had passed, got an 8.5 cgpa, and was on my way to celebrate with my friends but never would I have imagined at that moment I would be shot, by a fucking kid at that.
I thought I'd see my life flash before me like a movie but all I saw was the railway security tackling the 15/16-year-old that shot me.
Then I knew nothing, well until I did know something. This probably sounds confusing and stupid to you but imagine how I feel, sitting in a massive room talking and monologing to myself.
I've looked at more imaginary cameras than Jim in 9 seasons. I don't care where I go, I wasn't religious but if I'm alive and not in a hospital, God might just be real.
This feels like one of those fanfictions I've read. If I do get to reincarnate it would probably be a three-way tie between Tensura, One Piece, and Naruto.
"I would personally choose tensura." Said someone as I almost jumped out of my seat. The person, a he for sure, looked, well I don't know to describe him.
He was wearing for the lack of a better term, royal clothes, he had a snake coiled around his body and also had wings.
I was already out of my seat, so decided to play it safe and spoke up politely with a bow.
"Who are-" Is all I could say
"I am the God of Creation!" He yelled cutting me off. Wait! God of Creation and that snake. I let out a small gasp as I realized who this was.
"You are-" Was all I could say again.
"That's right I am the great God of Creation Phanes!" He said cutting me off again.
'Why does he keep doing that?' I thought a bit annoyed.
"Because I can." He said, surprisingly calmly.
"Well, what am I doing here?" I asked sitting down again.
"What do you mean?" He asked smiling at me.
"Well, I was not really religious and was a Hindu. I didn't even worship greek gods. So all of this begs the question, Why am I here?" I asked again.
"You are here because you are meant to be here, you are here because you passed your exams, you are here because you decided to go celebrate. You being here is pretty much the same as flipping a coin. If that satisfies you we'll get down to business." He said.
'Well every religion had a God of Creation, so maybe we just go to the one who accepts us.' I thought not really understanding what Phanes said.
"Don't think into it, do you want to know what's next or not?" He asked me.
"Next, as in next life or do I work here now?" I asked. Only to hear his booming laughter.
"You see the walls of this room?" He asked gesturing towards all four directions. I nodded and gave him a yes.
"Well. outside this room is the realm of Gods, and that means all the Gods. You, no matter what, cannot exist in that plane. Outside this room, you have no life. So when I say what's next, yes, I mean next life." He said calming down.
"Oh." Was my genius reply to his speech, I looked around. Outside were all the Gods I refused to believe in.
"What's my next life then?" I asked after a minute.
"Hmm, choose a finger." He said putting forward 3 fingers.
"Um, okay.." I said and chose his index finger
"You will be reincarnating in the world of Tensura!" He said with a smile.
"Wait what!? We can choose such a world? What were the other 2 options? Can I change it to Highschool DXD?" I showered him with questions.
"No, I choose the world for you. The other two were One Piece and Naruto. No, you may not go to Highschool DXD. You need atleast 3 Global Peace deeds for such a reincarnation. Your karma is dirt shit." He said.
"Hey, don't be like that. I thought we were bonding. Anyway can I at least have a few wishes?" I asked.
"Sure, I'll give you 4 Wishes!" He exclaimed.
"Okay, Number 1) I want to reincarnate as Rimuru Tempest just as canon begins.
Number 2) I want to have the Magic breeder reactor.
Number 3) I want to be able to create any skill of any level.
Number 4) I want soul magic/control.
"Okay, It's done. You'll be reincarnated in 10 seconds. Enjoy your second life." He said.
"Thank You! Wait, do I get to keep my memories!?" I asked.
"Yes, you do. You would not have the knowledge of our meeting if I wanted to give you a normal rebirth. Goodbye life 1245T.90XE." He said with a wave.
I smiled as I felt my mind shut down for the second time in a day.
I woke up and tried to look around but felt as if I was falling deep into an ocean.
'Great sage' I thought in my mind.
[Yes master] I heard her voice in my mind.
'Thank Phanes you are here, Great sage create an Ultimate skill called 'Evolve'' I thought/Asked.
[Alright master, Creating Ultimate skill 'Evolve'. This may take a few minutes.] She said.
'Hmm sure, take your time.' I thought/replied and used this time to take control over my slime body.
[Ultimate skill: Evolve, Creation successful.]
'Good, Use Ultimate skill: Evolve on yourself Great sage.' I thought/asked
[As you wish master.] After saying this she went quite all of a sudden, I continued to gather Hipokute Herbs and turned them into potions. Also absorbed Magic ores so that I could create Magisteel later.

1)Alteration: The ability to freely modify and evolve skills.
2)All of Creation : The ability to comprehend any non-concealed phenomena in this world.

4)Chant Annulment: When using magic, the chant is no longer necessary.
5)Future Attack Prediction : The ability to predict attack in the form of light trails. The terrifying properties of this skill is not its ability to predict, but that whatever it predicts is guaranteed to happen.
6)Parallel Operation : The ability to detach analysis of phenomena from the mind.
7)Synthesis/Seperation : The ability to synthesize and separate almost anything.
8)Thought Acceleration: Raises thought processing speed by a million times.]
'She sounds like the actual Raphael from the show, like she has a conscious of her own' I thought.
[What are you saying master Rimuru, I sound the same] She said.
'Yeah, yeah sure. Now Raphael, firstly suppress my aura to a minimum and than use Ultimate skill: Evolve on me.' I thought/ordered.
[I still think you are imagining thing but as you wish Master Rimuru] She said. This time I was the one to pass out. I could see the cave I had to enter after waking up
I woke up to see the cave in front of me, but I could see things crystal clear now, I could smell things I know I should not, for the lack of a better term, feel the air. I could hear the smallest of insects, it was too overwhelming. All I had to do was think of toning down my senses and it was done.
[Slime Rimuru Tempest Evolved to Demon Slime Rimuru Tempest] Announced not Raphael but The voice of the world. [Demon Slime Rimuru Tempest is now considered a True Demon Lord and Lord of all Slimes] The voice continued.
"Damn, I made a boo boo" Was all I could say.

As Raphael took the wheel, I thought of the ogre tribe, I was definitely gonna save them. Then the demon lords, I knew at least one of them would visit me and all of them would send spies to Jura. I needed a kingdom, an army, and an intelligence system as soon as possible. Time was not something I had.
[We have arrived sir] Rapahels voice brought me out of my thoughts. I saw Veldora sitting in front of me, in that barrier of his.
"Greetings, True Dragon Veldora!" I said as I shapeshifted into how Rimuru looked at the demon lord summit.
"Greetings Demon slime Rimuru! You know me and you still visited huh? Have people stopped fearing The great Storm Dragon Veldora!?" He roared.
"Not really, just thought you could use some company. I'll leave as you don't seem to need any help Great Storm Dragon." I turned to leave.
"N-No wait, I would not mind some company for a while and I could answer any questions you have Rimuru, A fine name I must add." He said like the complete tsundere he is.
"Hmm, sure I could knack your brain, and thanks for the compliment. So, what's up?" I asked.
"Well you have made me very curious demon slime, you have been alive for a total of 60 days and yes you may be a named monster so it explains all your basic abilities and I may be able to overlook the true demon lord evolution but how do you have this aura. Your aura screams of a true dragon not a true demon. Your aura and magic density are both quite similar to my older brother." Veldora said quite calmly.
"HAHAHAHA, forget about the boring details. Let me tell you how I razed down a massive village one day-" He did a complete 180 and started boasting about his "special" moves while giving a faraway look.
'God this guy was an anime geek before he even read manga!' I thought.
'Raphael, I can bring him out right?' I thought.
[If you wish so master] She said.
'Nah, He'll cause a lot of complictions. the voice of the world has already given me enough of them.' I thought.
"Veld that was a great story, but you must be bored in here right? So I am gonna put you in my belly and take you out of it and this barrier when the world calms down a bit. It'll probably take a year. So how 'bout it?" I asked.
"Well if you wanna be partners so bad then I'll have to accept." He said again pretty much like the tsundere he is.
"Before that, would you like to join my family and take my family name? It's Tempest by the way. So you'll be called The Great Storm Dragon, Veldora Tempest!" I said dramatically.
"wha-WHAT A GREAT NAME IT IS! VELDORA TEMPEST THE STORM DRAGON! I LOVE IT AND ACCEPT IT HUMBLY! AFTER ALL IT IS A NAME FITTING OF SOMEONE GREAT LIKE ME! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" He said not humbly.
"Great! So from today onwards you are Veldora Tempest, leader of the storm branch of the Tempest family! Welcome Veld, It's great to have you on my side buddy." I said as I raised my hand and shook his nail.
Due to our connection now, I attained the storm crest from him and he doubled in size, magicule count and magicule density. Due to me having the Magic breeder reactor, I didn't even feel the magicules leaving me.
Then I swallowed him whole, barrier and all.
I got over the weird feeling of having veld in me and started on my way back out of the cave. I spread my senses once out and found the goblin platoon that confronted rimuru in canon, the goblin village was not that far from them. I could also sense the Direwolves.
'Raphael, creat a skill to teleport wherever I want' I asked her.
[It is done Master, Unique skill: Teleport has been created and memorized.] She said.
The future did worry me but it also excited me, with all that in mind I decided to push ahead.
I was gone in a flash.

"Where is he!?' Asked Chang? As he dug into his kung pao chicken.
"GUYS!" Bob yelled as he burst through the doors. He had all eyes on him as he held up the newest volume of Tensura. After the final battle, Rimuru looks at the setting sun as he questions no one in particular.
"Hope you liked the chinese guys." Said Rimuru tired and bloody from the battle.
"Hey, who ordered our food?" Asked Chang as he slowly put down the fork.
"Oh yeah, he's dead." Said Batman
