Chapter 129: Their consent

- Your side? - The man sitting in the opposite direction from Thea laughed, as if she had said something very funny. – And what is this side? Yours or your vampire's?

There was mockery in his voice and his evil gaze wandered from her to Raphael.

- Marcel, you said that we need to hear something very important.  Is that what you meant? – the same man muttered, casting an angry glance at the Alpha.

- Preston, shut up. – he warned him, but the man just leaned back in his chair, crossed his arms over his chest and grunted with displeasure.

Raphael chuckled inwardly, noticing the tension between the two werewolves and he was the one who knew that Preston was a rebel. But it seemed Marcel was starting to notice it, too.Snakes started showing their heads at the very beginning.

- It doesn't matter if it's me or 'my vampire'... -  she replied to his indignation. –... because we're in league with him. And I want you to be with us.
