Chapter 27: Chapter 26: Dungeon 2
Eren and his friends continued their journey to the building that they saw. They thought of it to be the boss room.
They were very excited and wanted to score the first clear of the dungeon.
On their way, they saw one shadow moving some distance in Infront of them. Seeing this, all of them became alert and used their mana to boost the speed of body and catch the shadowy figure thinking of it as a goblin.
They were near the figure and Eren attacked the formation but stopped midway. Seeing Eren stop, the others also didn't move.
The figure, seeing movement, looked toward the direction of the sound and saw Eren and his group. The figure of a boy was surprised as he never thought one would be able to evade his senses.
Eren and his friends came out on seeing the person not attacking them at first sight. This confirmed that this person wasn't any type of monster in this dungeon.
Why did they think that the boy was a monster? It's because, even though looking like a human, he was too handsome and had a high vitality level as compared to humans. Also, his teeth were sharp. His eyes sometimes had a tinge of red but the next second, it vanished.
Eren suddenly remembered who might be this person. Which race was he? A race not seen by anybody in the human galaxy due to their secluded nature. They never wanted to live with humans.
A race that had extreme vitality, physical strength, unnatural speed, monstrous regeneration, etc. A race feared by even some low gods.
The race of...….VAMPIRES!!!...
The person in front of them was from the race of vampires. Eren never thought that this seclusive race would send a child toward the human galaxy. This might also mean some vampires are in this world!
Eren was deep in thought. But, he quickly came out of it and told his friends.
"Don't worry. He isn't our enemy."
"How can you be so sure? This may be a monster that wanna kill us!" Said Klaus to which others nodded.
"Believe in me friends. I know who he is…" Said Eren.
Hearing Eren says about knowing his identity, the figure was surprised. The figure said.
"Do you know who am I?"
"Yes, I know. You are from the great race of vampires who lives under seclusion and never puts their foot on the human galaxy. But, this has changed your appearance of you. I am a human as you could have known. Myself, Atesh. Nice to meet you!" Eren said politely.
Hearing the friendly behavior of Eren, the vampire was surprised. But he quickly asked another question.
"How do you know about us? No humans know about us. It means you aren't a human or you are-"
His words were cut by Eren. "We could talk about my origins later. Could you tell us your name?"
The vampire quickly understood that Attie didn't wanna talk about this in Infront of others. "Hi! I am Crixus. As for what's my position, we could talk about that later. I think we can work together clearing this dungeon."
Eren nodded at his proposal of clearing the dungeon together. But his friends didn't share his enthusiasm though but they knew that Eren would never put their lives at risk. So, they didn't voice out their opinion, and also they believed in the strength of Eren.
"Myself, Madison"
"Klaus"
"Rey"
The three gave their name to Crixus.
"It's truly surprising to see another being in the same space as us in a dungeon. Normally, all people who didn't come as a group would be in different spaces and couldn't find each other. So, us being in the same space is a blessing." Eren said to others.
Crixus, who didn't know this, was happy to meet Eren and his friends so that he could also complete the dungeon.
"So, can we move forward to the building at the center?" Crixus asked Eren. Eren also nodded along with his friends.
They started walking towards the building which was getting bigger as they closed on it.
(AN: I know! The building will be bigger as one closes on to it. It's a fact. But you all know, NEVER QUESTION A STORY…)
Deep in his soul realm both Eren and Attie were talking.
Eren: I still don't understand why this race came out of the shadows.
Attie: Maybe they don't want to be in the shadows anymore and want to become a famous race.
Eren: This might be true. But they would never come to the human galaxy as they had a bad relationship with humans when a war happened years ago…
Attie: What war happened? Why a bad relationship?
Eren: You see, this is a long story I don't think we have time for a boring story.
Attie: By the way, did you take part in the war? As a god, which side was gods and you?
Eren: I also took part in the war. But, not as a killer but to avoid unnecessary killing. We gods didn't want to have wars even though we fought some. Especially me, my master and some of our friends hated wars.
Attie: Did you succeed in the negotiations?
Eren: The negotiations took a long time. When it was taking place, wars were still going on. The vampire race was aggressive. They were more powerful than humans but humans still stood strong in front of them. Why? It's because of their numbers. The number of humans was more than that of vampires. The negotiations were completed after some time. This caused the end of the war. But the mess was already done. Millions lost their lives on both sides.
Attie: Then why do the humans not remember about the vampire race and wars?
Eren: That's when we come in. My master and I put a spell on all humans except some that made them forget about the war. The remaining was made not to tell others about war except their offspring and family.
Attie: So, some still know about the wars and the vampires?
Eren: Yes. Five families know.
Eren then took his consciousness off the soul realm as they came in front of a gate. This was the gate to the building that they believed had the boss.
