Chapter 16: learning the secret and the truth (3) [memories]
"Eh" Damian mumbled 'where did she learn Japanese anime words from, ugh this is going to be a long unconscious dream or whatever did she call it.'
'Can the system even work here?' Damian thought inwardly 'hey system are you there?' Damian asked but there was no reply so he tried calling out his system interface but nothing appeared.
His inventory was inaccessible and his [flawless] skill showed nothing.
He tried everything that he could think of but nothing worked.
And when he looked up he saw Laura staring at him strangely and then he asked her 'why' but she dismissed him and walked out of the exit door so Damian started following her but strangely he couldn't find her and then a feeling of dread came over him and the whole space around him warped and dazzling beam of light invaded the warped space around him, blinding him.
*FLASH*
*DOKI-DOKI!*
*BA-DUM!*
Damian's heart started to beat continuously in fear until when he opened his eyes to see two familiar faces.
*DU-DUM!*

A fairly large condo located in the mountains in the Himalayas. It had a small porch out front with a lovely bush of beautiful flowers irises' to be exact.
-Inside was a small family of four
"Mom, why do we have to come here for the holidays, I said that I wanted to see the ocean but noo we just had to come here, Hmph" a seemingly younger version of Alisson said as she pouted.
*THWACK*
"Stop being so rude to mom Ali, you know how much she and dad planned for our vacation holiday to be and yet you're complaining about not being able to see the ocean, now apologize to her or no lunch for you" a much younger Laura spoke as she smacked Alisson in the forehead.
"I never knew Laura was such a bossy person until a few hours ago, this little girl definitely has to be her.
Sniffing up the tears she was supposed to shed and grumbling some unintelligible words the younger Alisson apologized and said "I'm sorry for being rude momma, I promise that I won't do it again"
"Good job, maybe I'll rethink letting you have lunch"
"Uh, no fair you said that if I apologized that you let me have lunch"
"Maybe I changed my mind" Laura smirked
"Waah mom do something or Laura is going to make me starve to death" Alisson gritted her teeth as she spoke
"I'm not sure you would angel, if I recall you still had lots of snacks in the chopper so you won't possibly die yet" their mom said
"D-daaadddd momma and laura are picking on me" Alisson yelled for attention
"It's okay angel, I heard you and I will be sure to give them both a spanking for picking on you, but first how about I give you chocolate, candy or both mmh?"
"Temper tantrums' and a childish attitude, this definitely has to be Alisson" Damian thought out loud
"Mmh" Alisson pretended to be in thought for a while till she answered and said "how about both?"
"Okay here you can have them both"
'Those are Alisson's and Laura's parents…' Damian stood there and watched them from a distance with various emotions of sadness and regret filled his heart
"You are really spoiling this girl Apollo" Laura's Mom said with her hands folded over her chest
"What can I say Ivana, I love my daughter?" Apollo said
"Oh and you don't love me, uh?" Ivana asked
"You know that, that's not what I meant right?" Apollo looked worried as he asked
"I don't, really I don't know what you mean" Ivana grinned and said
"Mom, dad this really not the best time to be flirting with each other" Laura who had a slight blush on her face said to both her parents
"But you know we're on vacation pumpkin" Apollo replied to Laura
"Arrgh I thought I told you not to call me that, it is embarrassing" Laura said as she pouted
"Pftt pumpkin hahaha" Alisson said as she burst into laughter
"Shut it Ali or else" scowling, Laura replied to Alisson
"Or else what huh, if you touch me dad is going to spank you real hard"
"Oh really…mom Ali is ticking me off again"
"You see Apollo, your lovely daughter is getting my child angry, do something about it"
"What am I supposed to do?"
"That's your problem not mine, so fix it"
"Seriously…Laura help me out here?"
"Why should I help you out, Mum is mad at you and so am I"
"Y-you why are also mad at me"
"Damian this was my family" a feminine voice whispered into Damian's ears
"What-who- Laura don't ever creep up on me like that ever I mean it" Damian let out with a slightly fearful expression
"Pftt- sorry Damian, hold on a sec cause this is going to be a bumpy ride"
"Uh what are you-"
But before he could complete his words the whole space was warped and a blinding light flashed into the space

'So this is what she meant by a bumpy ride uh?' Damian thought before opening his eyes when he found himself in a completely different scene
'This place, never thought that I would have to remember this scene again' Laura thought as a feeling of nostalgia struck her.
Currently both Damian and Laura were sitting in an limousine with two gorgeous female bodyguards both dressed in Black suits with the younger versions of Alisson and Laura who were both in uniform, basically the were on their way back from school with a similar crest on the breast pocket of both of their uniforms, the crest read 'Visions Top Academy', a school for the kids of the big shots' namely people similar to Laura's parents who were both influential and had connections worldwide, the technology and education in that school was topnotch and the teachers there were at the top of their game, it was definitely a school to be proud of and brag about and it was in every way perfect.
Alisson who was sitting at the window with her head poked out brought her head back into the interior of the car and poked at Laura who had headphones on, Laura pulled her headphones off and placed it round her neck and in a grumpy voice she said "What is it Ali?"
"We're home" Alisson replied as she seemed to be in a very jovial mood
Laura's eyebrows twitched as she asked "Is that why you poked me?"
Alisson or as she was called Ali who obviously didn't know that Laura was pissed replied "Mmh, we're home and now we can go see mama"
"Okay cool, good for you then"
"What, is that all you have to say?"
"What do you want me to say, uh…maybe I could go like this 'yippee I going to see mom who I still saw this morning'" little did Laura know that later in the much more closer future she would have wished to see her mom just one last time, but sadly that wish wouldn't come true.
Damian and Laura who were sitted in the other side of the limousine watched as it all went down.
"So what happens next?" Damian inquired Laura who was looking down like she was regretting something
"We watch" Laura replied without looking up
"…Okay…" Damian said as he wondered what his sister was thinking about
-A few hours later at the Reyes manor
"Come on Laura, Ali, the shows about to start" Ivana, Laura's Mom said from the living room which was designed in a 'C' format.
A two-seater and a five-seater, Ivana sat on one of the couches at the side of the two- seater, all the sofas were gold rimmed and they were designed with high quality leather.
"We're coming Mom" Laura and Alisson's voices resounded from their rooms upstairs
"If you are any later than this you are going to miss the recap, so be fast" Ivana said
"Okay mom we are here" Alison said from the stairs with Laura right beside her.

"We interrupt this showing for breaking news, this is to announce that Major Apollo Reyes has passed away…earlier today earth had its first sighting of other-worldly life forces, it was said that Major Reyes went with a scout team to check out the situation when the transport vehicle that was transporting the Major was tracked and blown into bits by the missile that the other worldly existences sent to it, all this was caught on camera by a drone flying in the perimeter…." the voice of the TV announcer faded away as everyone in the room refused to believe that what she said was true but unfortunately it was and a great feeling of dread came over the three females who heard.
"This can't be true right mom" Laura asked Ivana her voice shaky
"…Apollo" Ivana muttered as tears started to fill her eyes
"Daaadddd you can't go and leave me alone, momma and I and Laura still need you, we still want to watch TV with you and we still want to go on holidays with you, don't leave us dad…" Alisson wailed and started to say all the things that she wanted to do with her father, all the places she wanted to go with him and lots more.
Laura didn't seem to shed a single tear as she walked up the stairs to her room and slammed the door shut, when she was sure that she was safe in her room, she fell face flat into her bed as she yelled into her pillow and cried all heart out.
"'I'm so sorry Laura, sorry you had to go through all this" Damian said to his sister as the space around them warped again and he was in another scene.
