Chapter 20: Who is he?

Natasha held the ball in her hands and stare blankly at it. Her gaze shifted from the ball to Reaper whose eyes were still on her. She then looked at the now-dead man on the ground in front of her.

Her eyes fell on the ball once again, it felt and looked so familiar to her even though she had never seen it before. She instinctively knew what to do with it but she was still hesitant as this was the first time doing something of that sort.

"Okay." She said. If she had refused before because he was still alive, there was no reason to refuse now because he had made it easier for her by killing him and then asking her to do it again. She took a step closer to him and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath in, she released it slowly and then stretched both of her hands that were holding the ball towards the dead man.

Something like a wisp of white smoke but in a human shape left the body and entered the ball, and it glowed green before returning to black. "It is done." She said turning to face Reaper.

He walked closer to her, his hand raised to her face and he caressed her cheek lightly like he was touching a pet. He stared deep into her eyes as if he was bewitching her and said, "Now do the same to the rest of them, Little Bunny." He said in a low voice.

Natasha stared back into his eyes, she nodded without even realizing it and stepped forward with her hands stretched forward again. Reaper stood behind her like a shadow watching her do what he had asked her to do.

She collected the souls of everyone dead leaving only the two who were yet to die. The fear in their eyes as they stared at the two people standing over them was so bright and clear. It had completely overshadowed the pain from their injuries and forgetting that their lives were slowly slipping away from them. "Please..." One of them tried begging for their lives. They didn't know who they were but they had seen with their own eyes how the man ran his hand through another man's chest inhumanely. "Spare us... " The second man tried to speak again but they were in too much fright to say a complete sentence.

Natasha wanted to pity them but there was something in her that stopped her from doing so. And she had an idea what it was that was stopping her from pitying the unfortunate lives on the ground. They looked young like college boys but they would have to die so like this. "What about them?" She asked twisting her head up to look at him. They shared a gaze fit a second before Reaper spoke.

"Take them too, their time is up." He said and she gave him a nod. That was all it took for her to pull their souls into the soul ball. The ball then disappeared from her palms even before she could say anything or fully turn to face him.

"What happened to it?" She asked starting at her empty palms.

"It will appear whenever you need it," Reaper said and puts his hand around her waist, "It is time to leave, little Bunny." He said and they disappeared from there. The next place that they appeared was not the mansion as Natasha had thought he would take.

She looked at her feet so she won't walk around with bloodstained on her Snickers because she wind be able to explain what they just did you anyone but to her surprise, The stickers were spotless.

She looked around the place, she was in a club similar to the last one that she visited with Reaper except that this one was less crowded. She stuck close to Reaper this time not wanting what happened the last time to repeat itself. She took his hand and intertwined their fingers. His big palm clasped against her small one. There was no fear in her as she did that.

As she said before, she felt attracted to him, and being in his hold was calming and soothing. She tried. To keep up with his steps as they walked through the crowd going to the second floor where the rich stayed. They gained the attention of many. Both men and women alike. They would stop to take a second look at the supposed couple. The men were envious of him for having a woman as beautiful as her and were the same thinking she was too lucky to have gotten a man like him. Handsome and rich.

Reaching the second floor and sitting, Natasha let go of his hand much to her dislike. "Why did you bring me here?" She asked. Her eyes roam around the club looking down as the other people went about their business.

"You can do whatever you want, Natasha." He said. "Do you hate it here?" He asked.

She shook her head. "No, I don't hate it," she said. Based on what had happened to her on her first clubbing experience, she should hate places like this but she rather... like it?

"Anything?" she asked and he nods. She opened her mouth to speak but stopped before the words could fall out and asked him instead. "How so control the desire in me? Because what you did is affecting me."

He smiled for the first time since she had met him. "You don't try to control such things, Natasha, toilet them out, Set them free, and break loose from the restructuring you out around yourself." He said. This was probably one of the longest sentences he had ever spoken thus far.

She looked away and caught sight of someone at the entrance of the club. She stood and walked to the railings to have a clearer view. There, she saw that it was him. The man who was responsible for her pain walking in with his bodyguards in tow.

Feeling the intense gaze on him, he searched the club with his eyes and he found her standing on the second floor with a man behind her. Nigel could not believe that he was seeing Natasha. He had never thought he would see her in a place such as this but here they were in the same building of a club and it was almost midnight. The Natasha that he knew would have slept at least two hours ago if not earlier.

His eyes moved to the man behind her trying to see if he could recognize him but he got nothing. This was his first time seeing the man and he wondered if he was the one who stole Natasha from his grasp.

He climbed the stairs trying to get to her before she disappeared like she did the last two times he had been with her and made him doubt his vision. The guards pushed aside the many people on the way as he made his up with large and hurried strides.

He got to where they stood and he almost turned around and walked back because of the pressure he felt from the man who now had his hands around Natasha in a possessive manner and still standing behind her.

"Natasha?" Nigel called. Disbelieve all over his face.

Even the bodyguards who had accompanied him were equally as surprised as he was. They all knew the woman standing there just a few feet away from them. They did not know what happened to her or how she escaped. Looming at her now, mining has changed in her physical appearance, she still looked as dainty and delicate as always which made her look out of place in their current environment.

But the same could not be said about the man with her. He was too calm. His presence weighed on them and his eyes looked like they could burn them to dust. They were piercing and the color was also odd. Never have they met anyone with such bright-colored golden eyes. The air around him spelled danger even for them, who were used to the underground world and was often the danger sign to others.

"That would be me," Natasha said, in reply to Nigel.

"Who is he?" Nigel asked without even knowing why.
