Chapter 147: A new market and more
A big jump in time and in the next 80 years of in-game time, the rixis cement mages into their society. For Jack and the gods, it was more like a 1 or 2 weeks, and they only saw the most interesting aspects of it all.
Through this act of integration of something new came a market that caters to the people within it, and that is made from them also. So now mages were looking for magical beasts and food to help them advance faster while some mages let their services for a price.
By now, the Jackrixis and even more so the Blues were no longer cave men and were moving more into. The mesopotamia level of civilization now having a basic but complete language and proper vocalisation for their words and phrases.
The magical market was in its infancy, but it already was growing fast, with many looking to profit from the nature around them. Basic fruits and meats in certain magical beasts helped with channelling and harnessing magic.
In order to keep the order and make sure no trickery happened, the elders would be the ones in charge of the magic market in the tribe or clan. This wasn't wonderland, however, so you could only get a magic market if you either had a mage,were a big enough tribe or you were in an area with the need supplies.
While this was occurring, the darker groups used this opportunity to target those who explore the wild in search of these treasures. This caused prices to increase to follow the risk involved with a basic Beveldril fruit, which looked like an apple but with orange stripes with a grey stem held a small amount of fire magic. Going for a handful of crops or a bundle of wooden tools or weapons as it was still a bartering system.
In a way, the magic system was a lot like cultivation, but without all the arrogant old guys and weird Intel young masters. But the mages, unless practising certain types of magic, were definitely not close-range fighters.
The normal trading market also grew as they developed a people's wanted more in terms of food,clothes,furniture, and weapons. It wasn't formed yet, but the idea of your main job being a merchant was starting to come through. Many still had the basic jobs of hunters and gathers while you had the few builders or even fewer blackmsiths.
It's seems inevitable that money would soon be birthed and would swallow these people's lives and bring about something greater for their race.Now many would suffer under the weight it brings but Jack knew the rixis were strong enough to not let it bring them down.
While the Blues would take that transition like ducks to water and would inevitably end up some of the richest there was. But that was the future, for now everyone was smacking each other with sticks and now blasting water or fire at each other.
After all this, let's go back to Jack, who was floating in the middle of his space while the twins spinned him around.
"Okay, okay, I'm going to be sick. Please stop now!"-Jack
"He he he silly Jack you shouldn't have made they bet then!"-Ven
"Yeah, silly Jack, you know we'll always beat you at gravity rock!"-Van
"It looked easier than I thought!"-Jack
"Okay, that's enough. Let the brit boy down, Ven honey"-Nancy
"Ow"-Jack
The twins immediately ran to Nancy and hid behind her while Jack got up and gave them a dirty look.
"Wasn't funny to hell with you!"-Jack
Before they could run, the twins were teleported to Themis realm, which was equal to hell for them.
"You 3 really are childish"-Nancy
"Yep, it's how I stay sane"-Jack
"I know, sunshine, but is it healthy?"-Nancy.
"Who knows, but hey, at least I get to hear all your fun American sayings"-Jack
"American sayings like what?"-Nancy
"Sunshine,honey,sugar all that stuff"-Jack
"Well, what do they say in grey Britain ello chap can I have some crumpets"-Nancy
"Maybe in some places but for me its more ello ya dickhead want chip butty"-Jack
"Is that even english?"-Nancy
"Well however we say it is the right way it's our language you guys just messed it up"-Jack
"Ow!"-Jack
"Watch that mouth boy it runs faster than your lips can handle"-Nancy
"Anyway how's life for you Nancy making sure the gods don't destory a forest or that Nyx doesn't try to fight some mortals"-Jack
"Well it keeps me occupied and I have something to do I try to think of the positives because i know the future will very dark for both of us"-Nancy
"Don't worry too much I'll deal with it I can handle what's to come and you'll be In the arms of your kids soon enough"-Jack
Nancy had to wipe her tears that seemed to crawl out of her eyes at the mention of her children that she always thought about them.
"I'm sure right now they're scared and worried about you, but once you come back and we somehow deal with the us movement, they'll be happier than ever"-Jack
"Silly boy, you think they can do anything with aliens running around making all types of mayhem"-Nancy
"Well, even I fear the almighty IRS and I'm not even american"-Jack
"Ha yeah..thanks Jack I hope you'll find who ever your looking for when you get back"-Nancy
"Well, I'm not sure if I will since I imagine my future is out there in the wider universe, and I'll have to see where I'll end up"-Jack
"Well, it's help me stress less knowing you'll have these strong rixis around you to keep you safe"-Nancy
"Not just me if you need help after this just call any time I'm sure I can lend you a couple hundred soldiers if I have an entire planet"-Jack
"Exactly, who knows? I might be bringing my kids for a holiday"-Nancy
"Don't worry, you won't have to pay"-Jack
"Dame right, I'm not going to boy. You didn't manage this by yourself"-Nancy
"Yep, you helped by 30%"-Jack
"Ow!"-Jack
