Chapter 11: Chapter XI The First Step
After a night of having many different thoughts of how the battle would go, today was finally the day.
When i walked out of my tent, i could already see my soldiers standing in formation, prepared to die for me and my country.
These were the people I called my followers. People accepting to die for the greater good.
"Men! Today, is the day! Today, we will take the first step towards showing the world, that we are not anyone!"
I shouted with total enthusiasm.
"For our King! For our great Country!"
The Soldiers shouted back, so loud, you could hear it from hundred of meters away.
After that, the captain ordered their battalions and we startet marching towards Whitecent.
I rode on a black horse, next to me Zhang Yu and Zhang Yi. The thousand men army behind me released a mighty aura, scaring any beast or civilian away, not daring to approach. The battle equipment was being pulled by 4 horses at the same time, and still only moved a few meters in a minute. The March would take a lot more if our time, and we would probably only arrive in the evening, wich was also a good turn of the situation, because it was harder for the enemies to see us and warn the others.
The preparations for food were also done neatly and four carriages, full of bread, meat and beer were also being pulled by horses.
Luckily, they moved very fast and could keep up with the army's speed.
I also learned from a villager who joined the army, that many defensive tactics like burning oil or so weren't used in this world. Maybe because of the cultivation, and It seemingly made the wars a lot more individual depending then the wars on earth.
One strong cultivator could defeat hundred of weak enemies.
A steadily stone wall appeared in the horizon, and I knew, soon the real battle would begin. The first battle against other humans in my two lives. I was feeling a little nervous but tried to press this feeling deep down. I really didn't have to worry. My army had more soldiers and the individual strength was also a lot stronger then the army of Whitecent.
The sun was shining for the last minutes until she disappeared completely and the moon would take over.
I had ordered Zhang Yi to take the one hundred 3rd Stage Soldiers and rush to the city to intimidate the city.
Maybe they would give up? I didn't really expect that, because as I had learned the lord was a very greedy men and wouldn't let his property just go.
The watchtowers had begun lightening their lamps to at least see something. And the guards had switched with other guards.
We were only about 400 meters away from the city wall when I waved my hand and ordered the army to stop.
We will set our camp up here and then proceed with the attack tomorrow morning.
"Yes your majesty!" The soldiers shouted and started to build their tents. The battering ham also arrived at the camp 5 minutes later with the two ballista. The soldiers had finished setting up the tents and now enjoyed a last dinner together, there was bread, meat and even some fruits.
All of these goods were bought from the system shop for only 400 G.
Why? Because I wanted to let my subordinates who will die in the battle enjoy one last dinner before.
Just as I stuffed a piece of meat in my mouth, a mechanical voice appeared in my hand.

With a new quest available, I had to do it even better. But to maximize the rewards and reduce the losses I had to think about a tactic where I could defeat them without making my soldiers having to fight against stronger ones.
Zhang Yi and the 100 3rd Stage had already arrived infront of the wall and released their 3rd Stage Aura.
When the aura descended onto the wall, the many guards on it were pressed down and couldn't stand up.
An old loud voice came out from the city.
„How dare you people attack my City!"
