Chapter 4: Future and First Love
'Sigh.... there's a lot to do. I will need an intricate plan.'
Will sat on the bed and started contemplating.
For the basics, the world Will live in is called 'Gaia'. The world of Gaia is divided into broadly five continents; Northern, Eastern, Western, Southern, and lastly the Holy Central continent.
These continents are not evenly divided, like the northern continent is ruled by tribes, a huge part of the eastern and parts of the northern continent is covered with forest. Hence it also owns some parts of the southern continent. The part which is owned by the eastern continent is connected to the central continent. hence southern continent is detached and considered the weakest of all. Whereas the western continent is mostly ruled by women.
'I will have to go to the western continent first, they welcome women with open hands and also Ice Heart sect is located there.'
It's not like men are not allowed in the western continent but most of the major sects there, are women-only sects and there are no 'family' rulers.
In his first life, Will lived for 105 years which for a cultivator is like a baby. he knows about the future and will surely use up to his advantage.
He came to know that his 'element' is 'Space' which itself is rare and he also has some weird physique that he does not know about. So no cultivation technique fit him; coupled with his half soul, his cultivation was hindered a lot. So leaving aside his personal life, he used to always search for an answer.
One day, at last, he came across a cave. He entered the cave and found a technique fit for his physique, a dual cultivation technique that he knew was very high level at that. He also found a treasure to complete his half soul and in a way send him back to the past.
'Huuu.... whenever I try to think about what happened in the cave I have a headache.'
' Fortunately, I remember both the techniques perfectly. One is a cultivation technique; That I cannot read the name of and the other 'Intricate Heart Sutra ' is a dual cultivation technique.'
He instinctively knew that the cultivation technique is made for his strange physique.
He was not dumb, he knew that he was now walking into some ploy of fate but what can he do, and secondly, why would he care; it is not like his freedom or reasoning was restricted.
'In my first life, some freaking bastard 'advised' me, to join in under some 'family' so that I do not have to care about resources. But man!!! that was one hell of a mistake. I become just a low-level chess piece of all the family conflicts.
This time I will start my journey as a free cultivator from the southern continent. Being the weakest I won't have to worry about making some high-level cultivators my enemy and hopefully, my journey will be somewhat peaceful.'
Well knowing the future, he knew about some treasure locations and had some experience.
As he was a low-level captain under some 'family' he did not have access to high-level information which cultivators tend to keep to themselves. But he knew about some major things and one major thing which happened when he was 75 years old was...
THE INVASION OF THE HIGHER REALM...
YES!!! There is a higher realm!! This was a shock to a lot of people.
He didn't know if high-level cultivators knew of the higher realm but they somehow came and started flipping the hierarchy hence having conflicts everywhere.
'I will have to prepare myself for that too... sigh... it still has more than 50 years so... let's not think about that... For now...
First and foremost I have to think about 'her' and have to find out why was 'she' in a place like 'this'
The person in question was his first love, a beautiful woman named Sia. She was with Will and Fionna for 2 years. She knew that Will liked her and even Will could feel that she liked him but was hesitant for some reason. And another reason he did not confess was that he always felt kind of inferior to her cause at that time he didn't know that Sia was a cultivator. As he was a mortal himself at that time; obviously he would feel inferior.
In the future, he came to know about that but could never find her even if he went back to look for her; making him always wonder why would she come to a place like 'that' in the first place.
The place that they lived right now was beyond a mountain range in the southern-western continent. Strangely there was an absence of qi in the place, It was like something sucked it dry...
Even cultivators could not explain that, the only intriguing thing here, was a strange room-like cave that no cultivator could break. It was popularly known as the lover's temple. but there was a little secret there that only Will knows because of the future!!
Because of the lack of qi only mortals lived in this place hence seeing cultivators were very very rare and most of them didn't know about the existence of cultivation itself. cultivators don't like places void of qi hence they treated the place like a ditch.
Hence the name 'the ditch'. Some high-level 'families' even 'send' their offspring to a place like this when they come to know that they cant cultivate. This all happens in secret so they can hide their 'shame'. Even Will and Fionna were part of this group, which he also came to know about, in the future of course.
'Hmmm... I guess in the future I will HAVE to deal with my greedy family.
But right now I am feeling very giddy about my proposal!! '
it's not like he never dated anyone but this time everything felt very.... genuine.
'Alas!! the future seems very eventful... haha.'

A/N: I know this seemed very boring but don't worry next chapter will be interesting and we will finally... yes!! finally, we will know about cultivation... I guess... hehehe
